Friends Around The Block

What a great shop ! My mom is an avid quilter and we happened by here last week on a «row by row «shop hop. The owner and staff are helpful, warm and very charming. We browsed around and found some treasures to take home. This week there was a «river run» shop hop and we stopped by again (I told you my mom was an avid quilter… lol). Again we were greeted warmly and made to feel at home (and unfortunately i cant say that about every quilt shop). The owner is very kindly and makes you feel like friends. Good customer service is so hard to find and to find STELLAR customer service is a real gem. Well its all here at «friends around the block». They have a great fabric selection and also had some new Christmas fabric that was not the usual suspects… SO refreshing, right? and I’m not even a Christmas girl but I loved it. So did my mom and she got some to bring home. Great tool selection too. The owner told us shes moving the shop two blocks up the street around turkey day and will reopen Dec 1^st. We are already talking about when we will go back.

This store offers everything you need for quilting, sewing projects and more. Upon walking in, you’ll see the most modern styles of fabric and all the latest sewing gadgets. Quilting classes, sewing classes and project making are all offered here. Great find, great style and sweetest staff! Love it here! I took my first «Beginners quilting» class here and will definitely take more classes soon!
