The only good thing I can say about Mandarin Garden is that we didn’t get food poisoning. Our food arrived with a really funky smell, like was 5 minutes away from going bad. The food tasted terrible and was dried out like it had been sitting under heat lamps for hours. We tried to pick through to find anything edible but even the white rice tasted sour and weird. After being served, we did not see our server again until we went to the counter to pay. The bathrooms were filthy, and had what looked like mold on the walls. Terrible food, terrible service, and terrible cleanliness.

New owners — hoping for the best — but ended up being really really bad — wishes I could write a better review but there really wasn’t anything good at all

Ever had the Chung king in a can? That’s actually better than this place. Horrible! The only Chinese in town and I’m sure the senior community is what keeps it alive. We have tried it three times now, three strikes your out!

We went there tonight and it was terrible. We had Combo A and it was not even remotely like any Chinese food I have ever eaten. The food was bland and either over cooked or smothered in a terrible gravy. The person cooking the food needs to learn a few common Chinese spices like ginger, sesame, lemon grass, coriander, cilantro, and chiles. The rice was horrible as it was like it had been dried out before it was fried. I saw a huge bowl of rice sitting on a counter but it was not being cooled or processed correctly as I am sure the health department would surely have a comment or two. The Sweet and Sour sauce still had cornstarch that had not been dissolved and it did not have any flavor. The Almond Chicken was the thinnest pounded chicken in the heaviest breading I have ever seen. I was deep fried and then smothered in a flavorless grey gravy. Overall for the $ 33.03 we spent I felt we were completely ripped off. I would not recommend that my dog eat this food that is why we left most of the food on the table. Please do not eat at this restaurant unless you are planning on just donating the money to the owner. The worst thing about tonight is that both my wife and I have had stomach issues causing multiple trips to the restroom.

Disgusting, do not go here! If I could rate this place with negative stars I would. We tried this place hoping for a good Chinese place in Stevens County. Boy, were we wrong. Our orders consisted of almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow main, and fried rice. The sweet and sour was nothing more than vinegar and corn starch over greasy fried chicken. Same with the almond chicken, but smothered in a nasty brown gravy(WTF?!). The chow main consisted of cold deli style processed sandwich chicken, mushy celery and pre packaged«crunchy» noodles drowning in corn starch. We couldn’t finish our meals, which is a tragic first for me at a Chinese restaurant. I am amazed this place is still in business with such a poor product. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and were the one positive of this place.

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.(And, in my lifetime, I’ve eaten at hundreds). Do NOT go! For example their lunchen Chop Suey consisted of 80% celery(over-powering everything), a few slivered onion mixed in a brown sauce and«finished off» with DRY noodles. Obviously, this Chinese restaurant could only hide out in the county seat of Stevens County(NE Washington state) — where there is NO competition or they would be out of business yesterday!
