Been patronizing this establishment for many years. Consistently the best bagels and bialys in an area saturated with bagel bakeries. These bagels are different then all the rest. They are quite lite and airy unlike most bagels which are heavy and dense, quality is always consistent. Service is fast and professional. In addition they sell high quality nova lox. At 38 bucks pound somewhat pricey but honestly worth it as its really high end. Other items are a bit pricey as well. Even though you pay alittle more then elsewhere you seem to be getting nice quality food items, After sampling many other bagels from around the area I keep returning to this place. And will continue to do so. Place is humming on weekend mornings so get there early! Highly recommended.

This place is expensive for what it is. But it’s so nice inside, it’s a great place to meet up with somebody and chat. I thought their salad portion was huge(picture included) but I also needed a separate plate because there is no way you could eat out of the dish that it’s provided in. It’s way too packed to not spill anything out of the bowl. I do like this place a lot, but if I came here all the time, it would break my bank.

Good bagels, a bit overpriced on most everything and a bit gaudy of an interior even after their remodeling.

The line is always to the door simply because the food is amazing. Completely worth the wait for one of their amazing chopped salads. Ingredients are fresh, portions are huge, and the salad is made fresh while I wait. Pita is delicious as are the bagels. The only downside is the lack of space while waiting for your order to be ready(but that never stops me when I’m in the area!)

Long ass line but worth it. Best bagels in Commack. Lots of choices. Always fresh. Good drink and snack selection too. Sandwiches all very good. Did I mention the long ass line?

By far the best bagels in Commack and quite possibly all the surrounding areas. Chopped salad bar is top notch in addition to the amazing bagels and sandwich options.

Very good egg sandwiches. Omelette station. Fresh salad bar. Tuna salad, chicken salad, lowfat egg white spinach salad, & low fat honey mustard chicken salad. Large assortment of coffee, tea & juices. Plenty of seating. Fast, friendly service. The restaurant is clean. The line on a Sunday morning is long but it moves quickly! :)

This was my first stop after arriving in New York. I got an onion bagel with lox cream cheese and an iced coffee. The bagel was very tasty and had the perfect amount of onion. But the lox cream cheese was absolutely exceptional. They are definitely not skimpy on the cream cheese either — see my photo! I also enjoyed my iced coffee very much. It was nothing special but it was adequately strong. I was very impressed with my breakfast here and it was also just around $ 6. So good!!!

Why did I never go here before?! Everything was so good! I tried the Cuban Cubano sandwich and my husband, in the mood for brunch, ordered a bacon egg & cheese in a sesame bagel. We both ordered iced lattes. The Cubano was delicious, on a perfectly toasted panini. His bagel was incredibly soft and fresh, SO good! The eggs and bacon & everything were of good quality, very good! We recommend the caramel latte! I tried Hazelnut and it was OK, but it depends what kind of hazelnut flavoring you’re used to, you might enjoy it more than I did. The coffee quality was great though. Service was excellent, everyone was so friendly and helpful! It was very busy there, and it was obvious why. Oh and btw we took home some lentil soup, definitely recommend it. Comes with a buttered bagel too!

This is the BEST bagel place I have ever been to. Having grown up on Long Island I have eaten many bagels and at many bagel shops. Bagel Chalet has the best bagels — even low carb bagels. And they also have the best service. No matter how long the line on a Saturday or Sunday morning — it moves and it moves quickly. All the guys behind the counter are very helpful, friendly and always have a smile. The egg salad is the best I have ever had followed by the honey mustard chicken salad. The roasted cauliflower is fantastic. My husband loves the paninis and their baked goods. Now that I am not living in the area full time I really miss this place a lot. Bagel Chalet on Long Island has the best bagels. I can’t wait to come back home and get some more to take out west. Love you guys!

Was just passing through and popped in. What an amazing place, the manager/owner(?) was outstandingly friendly and helpful. You could tell he appreciates the customers. They have these amazing flat bagels(why don’t we have these in NYC?!) that are amazing, just think of a bagel but with crispness. The French toast muffin was insane! This place is five stars for food, flavors, efficiency and friendliness.

Bagel Chalet… where do I even begin to rave about this place. I’ll start by saying that I’m a bagel snob, not sure its something to be proud of but just saying. Bagel Chalet has some of the best bagels on Long Island. No, really it does. Fresh big bagels every day. My go to is an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Today I decided I’d live on the edge and I ordered a whole wheat with jalapeño cream cheese… Mind blown! The BEST jalapeño cream cheese I’ve had and I’ve tasted many. That cream cheese was just amazing and actually HOT. It gets packed but there are lots of people behind the counter and they’re friendly and nice. The décor… a bit gaudy but hey don’t judge it IS Long Island. Go there! Eat the bagels and Love it!

These might be the best bagels on Long Island. Even though the line reaches the door most weekend mornings, it’s WORTH it. I love the plain, the asiago cheese bagel(a bagel covered in a layer of asiago — it’s life changing), the multigrain and the whole wheat. We usually just get the bagels whole, with nothing on them. That said, their available premade paninis and desserts/muffins also look good.

When in Long Island you’ll find a bagel place in just about every shopping commons, so if you’re going to sell bagels, they better be good. Having a lot of salad options and sandwiches on the menu doesn’t hurt either. Bagel Chalet is my go to when I’m in Commack and I’m looking for a quick bite. Whether it’s a big bagel toasted and slathered with butter, or a nice hot panini(I recommend the Rachel), Bagel Chalet doesn’t disappoint.

Their eggs were slightly overcooked, but(didn’t taste terrible) they know how to place their cheese correctly onto the eggs(on top and in the middle), which was melted in really nicely. Unfortunately, their coffee doesn’t come included with their egg sandwiches and neither does their bacon and/or cheese. Even though most places will include bacon and cheese(e.g. Burger King or 7-Eleven) with the egg sandwiches for no additional cost. So wasn’t willing to pay extra just to try their bacon nor their coffee after spending $ 3.53 for just 2 eggs and cheese on a roll, which is a bit pricey considering ‘The Everything Bagel Of Commack’ only charges $ 3.00 for the exact same thing.

My 2nd favorite bagel joint. Went here today and got a sesame flagel and a regular salted bagel. The salted bagel was very good, nice texture, good chew, the flagel though was incredible!!! Very crisp outside, nice and chewy inside, the way all bagels, or flagels should be, otherwise it’s just a hamburger roll with a hole in it. There was a decent line when I got there but these people are fast. If a nascar driver needed a bagel while he’s in the pit this would be the place to do it. I was in and out in about 4 minutes. Not as cheap as most bagel stores but worth the extra in my opinion.
