Helen’s Bridal was our favorite wedding gown shopping experience. They offered the largest selection of gowns for the practical and price-​conscious bride on Long Island that we had visited among nine stores between Nassau and Suffolk. Dresses were all in excellent condition and the shop is clean, organized and well-lit.One bride is seen at a time and there is a no-​pressure attitude.
Liz was friendly, accommodating and appointments were convenient and personal.
Fanny, the seamstress is a creative and talented craftswoman who made alterations simple and created beautiful removable straps out of excess fabric from the dress. Highly recommended.

I would recommend everyone I know to get their dress at Helen’s. They have beautiful dresses in a range of prices. The saleswoman, Ashley, is just wonderful. She helped me when I was looking for my dress and was honest with her opinions. She is bubbly and helps make the atmosphere very inviting. She’s easy to talk to and at the end of my dress/​alterations experience she felt like a friend. Any worries I had about my dress or the fittings, she was able to assuage. There are not enough great things I can say about her.
Alterations were wonderful as well. I moved to California after I had bought my dress and was worried about making alterations work. They told me not to worry and that everything would get taken care of — and it was. Not only did my dress look beautiful after the alterations, but due to the short time they had between fittings (due to only being in New York for my bridal shower and the wedding) they really put me as a priority. In fact, I came in on Wednesday to pick up my dress but there were a few «final touches» that needed to be fixed. They had my dress in perfect condition the next day for me to pick up!
If you are thinking about going to Helen’s to get your dress, you should know you will be in good hands!

Everyone was really nice at Helen’s. Came to look at dresses for the first time here and my consultant was SO GREAT! She was very helpful and they have a great selection of both bridal and bridesmaids dresses. Also, the fitting rooms are nice and roomy. I didn’t buy my dress here since it’s too far from where I live and I was only in NY visiting family but they have some beautifulllll dresses. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful help when choosing dresses, both bridal and bridesmaid. Unfortunately the alterations are sub-​par and overpriced. Alterations staff is rude and argumentative. So displeased with the alterations and their disorganization that I will never shop there again or suggest them to anyone I know.

I ordered my Maggie Sottero Adorae dress here. We placed the order in October, 2011, shortly after I was engaged. and it was ready by CHRISTMAS!!! I couldn’t believe all these other shops told me I had to order at least 6 months in advance.
My consultant, Liz, is absolutely the best. I loved coming in for fittings with her. And Tula the seamstress is also great and did my mothers dress as well which fit her like a glove.
I had absolutely NO problems with this place.

I love this place. Let me say I did not buy a dress from here YET – I plan on going back to buy it soon. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and HONEST! I met with Ashley, and she was perfect for the job. The store has a beautiful collection of wedding dresses. The fitting rooms are huge also. Love, love love! Must go here!

Wonderful service, beautiful Maggie Sottero Emme dress for my May wedding. Anthony and his staff are wonderful! People are still talking about my dress and it will be my little secret of what I spent.
