The Cutting Edge Hair Design

I made an appointment on ⁹⁄₂₉ for ¹⁰⁄₃ for the $ 18 blowout they had advertised outside the salon via a big banner. On ¹⁰⁄₁ I passed by the salon and saw the banner wast still up. The manager called me to say that the blow out would be $ 25. that the special was over. I told her I saw the banner today and she advised me they just didn’t have time to take it down. I suggested that they extend the offer to me as this was the reason I made the appointment and the banner was still up outside the store. She flat out said «no». Very bad business practice as far as I’m concerned. Will never go back.

Don’t go there if you want a specific men’s hair cut. I was told the owner was the best at mens hair & that she could copy any picture. I showed her the picture, explained I like my hair longer, no fades or buzz cuts for me. I just wanted the back cleaned up. I walked in with hair, I walked out with very little. If you can’t do what the client wants, don’t do anything & be honest. Don’t just do what you want & hope he doesn’t notice that you cut off more than 2 inches of hair. I will NEVER go back

It was not me that went for this blowout it was my daughter but I was there. Not for nothing but the fact that I got a package of THREE YES THREE BLOWOUTS off groupon for 35 BUX! this place made me really happy. Its normally like 40 PER BLOWOUT everywhere I take this girl and then they tack on another 10 because «she has curly hair… which is BS BECAUSE her hair is shoulder length and if you cant blowout curls then who exactly is left? Exactly, straight haired people who dont need you to blow them straight. So that always feels like a gimmick to me to make extra–
However this place did not charge her extra. Alyssa who was the girl who did her hair was really a sweet person very professional and confident i liked her a lot. Did I mention it was the worlds fastest blow out? when she said thirty minutes I thought she was being silly. She meant it, this girl was done before I could get knee deep in a facebook debate about the protests in NYC. Nice job Alyssa!

I really have no reason to give this place anything less.
I’ve been here twice for a wash & blow with Alyssa, and each time it has been excellent service. Upon arrival, I am greeted and taken right away. Everyone is friendly, and Alyssa is charming and charismatic.
The place is SO clean and SO nice inside with wooden floors, nice décor, and clean work-​spaces. I actually thought the salon was brand new, but apparently they’ve been there for years.
Although I’ve only been for a wash & blow, I’ve observed some women getting their hair colored and cut, and I was in love with one woman’s ombré highlights. it’s likely I’ll return for some further services when due. :)
