What can I say. Take-out joint, close to my house. Food quality runs from truly awful to slightly below average. My worst was sesame chicken that was nothing more than fried and glazed dough(No actual chicken!), Yuck!!. Best are their short ribs. Even these are not particularly great(Chemically sweet sauce and fatty cuts of meat). Menu includes the usual suspects(Sesame this… General Tso that… egg foo yung… fried rice, noodles), none of which is particularly well executed, compared to other identical restaurants. They also have wings and even a steak(Haven’t tried it) but that’s not why you chose a Chinese place to begin with. Their prices are actually cheaper than average, and wait times are not unreasonable, so that’s a plus. When this place was the only restaurant out here it was passable. But with the increased choices, including a direct competitor down the road, this place needs to step it up a notch in the quality department for me to ever want to eat there again.

This place has went downhill in the last 2 years with the food quality, portion size, and overall service… When I first moved to the reunion area I ate china red at least 2 to 3 times a month but in the last 6 months I avoid it because each meal gets worse and worse… Dishes are very inconsistent with quality and portion size… Even the color of the dish changes week to week… Service has always been slow most time u call you can expect to be put on hold… With the limited restaurants in the area I don’t think ownership strives to get better or fix the short comings

Use to frequent China Red weekly until I found a spider in my food!!! Never been back and there aren’t many places to eat at around reunion but I won’t ever go back.

Good enough! — Appetizers: – Cheese Wontons were crispy, hot and had a good amount of cheese inside. – The Vegetable Rolls were slightly overlooked, but the flavor was good. The Sweet-and-Sour sauce was thin and a little runny. — Entrée: – Happy Family had a good amount of pork, chicken, beef, and scallops. Taste was pretty standard with other Happy Family dishes we have tried. – Kung Pao Combo had shrimp, scallops, and crab. Plenty of peanuts and veggies. A decent potion of meats included and the spice level was comparable to other dishes. — Ambiance: Simple but clean. There are about 10 tables inside. The food is served in takeaway plates and containers. A little strange, but it probably keeps the cost down. Our entire meal was only $ 35. — Service: Good! He was friendly and promptly served our food when it was ready. Overall, we would visit again. It’s a good alternative to the other – too few – choices in the Reunion area.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had! Terrible service. I’ve been to dollar scoop shops with better food and service. The place is also very dirty.

Worst food ever. Can’t believe this place is still open. Better off microwaving frozen food. Service is below average as well. They should spend a few meals out learn how to say hello.

This is the only place my husband and I like in Denver. Sometimes ordering can be a little difficult over the phone because of the background noise but the food is a lot better than other Chinese food places for the price. It’s a little more affordable than other Chinese places and the food tastes authentic. Definitely one of my favorites.

Been here a few times, and now to the point where we will simply drive further distances for Chinese food till a good one moves in the area. Overpriced, very slow, and so-so food(the sesame chicken is… look just don’t get it). I wouldn’t even care if the food was priced accordingly, but that’s what’s affected me ordering from them again.

My wife and I have been ordering food here since we moved to Reunion. We love this place. There has been a couple times where they screwed up our order, but only a couple times. Good food that’s always hot. Solid take out food!

This place is awful. Really and truly. I have tried it several times and it does not seem to get better. The staff leaves you on hold for way too long, they are not friendly, and you always have to wait. I even gave it a try for sit down. Same experience, they don’t have a wait staff, but give you your food in a styrofoam box to sit in the dining room. Seriously? I think they need to go back to the drawing board on all fronts: customer service, phone manners, treating sit down customers in a different way. It is a shame as there are only a few places to eat in Northern Commerce City and I would be happy to go there if it was not so terrible.

Terrible! We ordered from here because I was in too much pain and too exhausted to go to the store, thought I would treat my family and give myself a break. We ordered and food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Egg drop soup was brown and luke warm; crab cheese wontons were over cooked and the«cream cheese» consistency was that of dried glue that was warmed up in attempt to make it a liquid again; the Mongolian beef tasted rancid and was 90% onions. We took this part of the food back to the restaurant and the lady assured me that all of the food was cooked fresh, and then said they premade the wontons and froze them, trying to explain the cause of the texture of the filling. Then, I noticed several empty buckets sitting in the back(oh and did I mention there was not any air conditioning on?!) one was still half full of their«fresh» egg drop soup. They remade our order and the Wontons(fresh out of the fryer) were barely warm in the center and they still had a «gloppy» filling. I make homemade crab cheese wontons and even after reheating the next day in the microwave they NEVER have had this consistency, it was nasty. I broke open one of the wontons and showed her what I was talking about, this is when she revealed that the wontons were not, as she had previously told me, fresh. The«new» egg drop soup was fresh — as in freshly poured from one of the buckets and heated up in a microwave. My husbands dish was the same as before, but with less onions. They offered different dishes and we accepted as the rest of our family was at home eating. We went with egg rolls(requested veggie got pork), wonton soup(DISGUSTING) and Kung Pao chicken, which was decent. I will NEVER order from this place again, and if you believe in good food from a family owned business, this is NOT the place for you. We will keep searching, but our favorite place is 30 miles away in Lakewood, a small hole in the wall, family owned Thai restaurant that also serves Chinese food — the name of it is Pad Thai and they are in mission trace.

I just moved into the area, and stopped in for some take-out. The service was friendly enough, but nothing remarkable. The food may well be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever been served. The orange chicken was gummy, with clumps of undissolved flour or corn starch. The steamed dumplings weren’t steamed enough, and were tough. The wonton soup was pretty good, though, so I didn’t starve. Unfortunately, I won’t be back. It’s a shame, because there’s no other Chinese food out in this area.

This place is great. Have been grabbing dinner here at least once a month for a few years now. Best part is if you want items spiced up just ask and they will provide. Fair prices for the large amount of food.

So we have ordered many times; always takes over an hour and is cold. But order is usually right; tonight we were missing all of our rice. Called them; was told well you can come and get some in about 30 mins; we said no you can bring it; you missed it; they said over an hour till it would be here(we live less than 4 miles away). Seriously? Over $ 130 worth of food and missing the staple? Never ordering from here again and will be telling everyone

I live a stone’s throw away from this place and it’s likely I would have starved on multiple occasions without them. It’s nothing out of this world, but it satiates a mighty need for a particular craving. Delivery and take out orders are prompt, price is right, and flavors satisfy.

Ordered take out last night from China Red even though some of the reviews made me nervous. Overall, decent Chinese food on par with many others I have patronized. I would give it 3.5 stars but you can’t split stars and I round up unless there is something wrong with the place. We ordered kung pow chicken, lemon chicken and pork egg rolls. It was ready for pick up on time(25 minutes) and was still hot when I got it home. Lots of food for the money and it was pretty tasty… plenty of leftovers for tonight. There are a few tables on the side of the restaurant space which is in a strip mall but I see it as a take out place. Pretty much zero atmosphere for dining in. Will definitely order again.

I have been here twice but the food was just ok. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the pork fried rice and the egg rolls were ok. My husband ordered the shrimp and chicken delight. It was pretty good. The second time we went I ordered the sesame beef and I didn’t even eat t. I took one bite and threw it in the trash. It was all fat meat with a thick coating. I couldn’t even taste the beef. We just moved to Commerce City a month ago so I’m still in search of the perfect Chinese restaurant in Commerce City and Denver, Co. We lived in Colorado Springs for 17 years and the best place for Chinese food in my opinion was Coal Mine Dragon in Security, Co and China Doll near Fort Carson.

Nothing special here. Sorry. Food overly fried in grease and tasteless. I’d rather save my money and make the trek to Westminster and Li’s — heck even the Yum Asian Fusion at 104/Tower is slightly better. Clean inside and friendly staff but that can’t make up for mediocre food.

Not much to look at, and I would not likely dine-in, but China Red is a really great option for when you’re too freakin’ tired to cook dinner. I stick to the Chicken in Garlic sauce. If I am feeling naughty, I may go with the spare ribs(super sweet and I’m sure, loaded with sugar) or the fried chicken weeks. Sesame Chicken is a safe bet too. Stick to take-out or delivery.

you think a place out there where you have a total of 4 or 5 places to eat and 2 to get drunk you would think it would get good ratings based on lack of options in reunion. When you walk in your a bit worried as it has a express look to it, but really it pretty amazing how great everything i have tried has tasted. It’s defiantly not a place to take large groups but if you were looking to take food out and bring home i would highly recommend it! This is probably one of favorite places for pad thai btw!
