The verde sauce is amazing. Wish they sold it in jars. The tacos are awesome. They’re still working out a few kinks but the food is really good. It’s not the kind of place Commerce is used to. It’s not Tex-​Mex. It’s real Mex and reminds me of the tacos you find the push cart vendors selling.

Know ahead of time that this is Mexican food, not Tex-​Mex. If you’ve eaten around Commerce before, you’ve likely had Los Mochis or Dos Laredos. This place is not like that. What you’ve got here is a Mexican Taco place, serving Tacos for $ 1.00 apiece in a small town and with great speed.
If you’re looking for white-​people Mexican food, that’s Tex Mex, and you won’t find that here much. They have enchilada plates with rice and beans, yeah, but mostly what they serve is Mexican-​style Tacos and Tortas.
Mexican tacos are almost always served on white-​corn tortillas by default, and with cilantro, onion, and lime as the only toppings. You can add (and probably should) salsa if you choose, and I’d suggest the green. Los Mochis’ Mexican tacos around the corner, the off-​menu Pastor tacos, are fairly decent but their green salsa is absolutely horrid. The green salsa at Los Amigos, though, has no unnecessary oil and has a fresh flavor with light heat (fresh raw jalapeño heat, so it may be hot for those unused to it).
I prefer Pastor to all their other tacos, and I got 8 for only 8 bucks. That’s fantastic. Also, keep in mind that these are tiny Mexican tacos, 2 bites for big guys and 3 for the average person.
I’ve tried every taco except the tripas, and I prefer the Pastor to every other kind. My favorites in order are Pastor, Bistek, Carnitas, Barbacoa, and Pollo. I am, however, a pork guy, so that’s likely why.
If you want good, cheap tacos delivered with great speed, this place is perfect for you. PLEASE eat her soon and often so this place can stay open. It’s so incredibly good.
