Mi Ensenada Fish Tacos

Ordered 4 tacos 2 fish and 2 shrimp
tacos. These are really good highly recommend. the fish was great tasting and juicy. The shrimp was plump and juicy as well. The green and red salsa are very delicious as well. The owners Juan and Estella are amazing people very nice courteous people and have very great service. You can tell they put their passion and love into the food and that equals out to great food. I would just come and buy tacos just to come and talk to them both. Nonetheless these tacos are BOMB!

The tacos have just the right amount of fish and shrimp, lightly battered. Crunchy pickled onions, a special cream sauce and salsa. Delicious! Totally worth the drive. And the owners of Mi Ensenada are so nice. I wish them much success!

This is my absolute favorite tacos I’ve ever eaten !!! I love the sauce that goes with it and my mouth waters each time I taste them. Two thumbs up !!!

Every weekend you’ll find this seafood taco truck which is said to be the «best fish tacos in all of Los Angeles.»
I finally made the drive down to East Los Angeles to check this place out after taco blogger, Mr. Bill Esparza, proclaimed their fish tacos to be the best you’ll find in Los Angeles — even better than Ricky’s Fish Taco, the current king of fish tacos in LA.
I was disappointed that Unilocal led me to the wrong address when I arrived. It took me to the location of the raspados and churros trucks. Instead of making a u-​turn and heading back. I decided to drive a bit more to see if I can find another place to eat.
I kept driving and spotted the Mi Ensenada Fish Tacos stand down another block or so in front of the El Super grocery store.
The friendly owner, Estella, greeted me and took my order of one fish and one shrimp taco. She also offered me a sample of their ceviche.
They been there every weekend for seven months. She told me about how they have no restaurant experience. They used to make these fish tacos at parties and people loved them, so decided to sell their fish tacos on the weekends in East Los Angeles. Weekends only because they have day jobs during the week. She mentioned to me that her husband used to work at the seafood market in Ensenada and knows how to select fish.
From what I recall in comparison to Ricky’s, their batter is not as crunchy or breaded Ricky’s. You can taste more of the Vietnamese catfish here at Mi Ensenada. You have a choice of a green or red salsa for your tacos.
They were featured in LA magazine and also on the radio on the Fork Reporter show. Since then people from Bakersfield, Lancaster, and Riverside have traveled to their street cart.
If you’re a fish taco fan, you will absolutely love their fish tacos. These tacos are definitely better than what I tried at the Mercado Negro fish market in Ensenada.

Price — $ 2 — $ 2.50 for each taco. They take credit cards and cash.

The fish tacos were fresh and had a great flavor… Don’t forget to add their home made green salsa to your food.
It was like eating south of the border.

This fish and shrimp taco place is hands down and one of the most delicious place where I have ever been. Let’s talk about the menu, it is simple that they only serve Ensenada style fish tacos, shrimp tacos and cevieche. I have been to Ricky’s fish taco few times and every single time is great. This place can totally compare with Ricky’s, very fresh fried bass and shrimps. The price is reasonable around $ 2.25 per taco and we literally stand on the street to eat, though they have few small tables and chairs so do not expect anything fancy. The line does gets longer so come early for their delicious tacos.
Customer service is also very well, the owner’s wife approached us and asked how we heard about them, she was very happy when I gave her my feedback, in fact I love it so much that I come back twice on the same day, it is that good! In terms of their schedule is Friday from 5~8pm, Sat and Sun 11am~5pm.
I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The best taco I’ve ever had! I can’t decide which was better, the huge shrimp or the perfectly battered fish… Then when we were almost done we decided to try the ceviche. I ended up ordering some to take home. We drive all the way out from Riverside and I will be coming up with reasons to take the hour drive just to have this delicious flavor in my mouth! Not only was the food amazing but what an amazingly friendly husband and wife team doing what they love… And it shows! Keep up the great work you two… Can’t wait to come back!!!

Delicious best fish/​shrimp tacos ever ask for the green salsa you won’t regret it and the lady and gentlemen there are very friendly I found a new place when ever I want fish tacos there only here on the weekends

My husband and I just had a fish taco and a shrimp taco from this truck and it was delicious. We will be going back for seconds.
