C & R Cleaners

I visited C & R cleaners saturday because my favorite cleaners in compton, ca was closed for maintenance. I dropped off several shirts to be laundered. I was asked if i was paying before i left or when I pick the clothes up. I informed the nice lady that I would pay when I come back to pick up my clothes. I didn’t think anything of it until my sister who picked the garments up the following monday informed me that the price they quoted me saturday shot up to a 5 dollar difference because we did not get them saturday. Wow! who does that?! hustling customers out of money! Why do I need to pay for work that was not even complete? I was turned off by C & R, my first and last time visiting his place.

I used to really like this place. They were cheaper than other places in the area, they had same day service if you got it in by a certain time and the clothes actually came back clean and crisp.
Lately though things have really changed and gone downhill. It started with them no longer accepting credit/​debit cards. That was a little inconvenient but I could look past that. Then the clothes wouldn’t come back same day when they were supposed to and for someone who travels for work a lot that it’s really important that they do. Now the clothes don’t come back as clean and crisp as they used to (like they were rushed), if they come back at all. There have been times when they couldn’t find one shirt or pant. It eventually resurfaces a day or two later or when I stand there for over an hour demanding that they find it and bring it back now. Either way it’s really annoying and this place has gone from a four star to a two star for me.
