DJ’s Drive-In

Been here a couple times. First time I ordered a patty melt which was good. Last night I went with my mother brother n bestfriend. We got two orders of burgers and two orders of chili cheese fries. The chili cheese fries taste very good, they put a little spice to it which makes it taste so different and delicious. As for my burger, it was good maybe just next time a little less on the lettuce. It made the side of my burger a little soggy. But overall the taste was good, pattie was well cooked.

I was very hopeful when I first Unilocaled this place that it would help improve the Compton dining scene. Instead Compton has changed DJ’s for the worse. They still have excellent burgers and fries and so far the restrooms are still free, but everything else is just less. The furniture is stained up. They put in a busted up annoying sdtv. The tacos don’t even taste like tacos anymore. They taste like a Banquet tv dinner. They actually took the time and money to uninstall the customer accessible drink machines, dropped the cup size to 16 ounce foam cups, and they now charge 50 cents per refill. Luis’ Burgers 2 blocks away only charges 35 cents. Most of the food is better at Luis’ burgers now too.
I wish it wasn’t so, but my favorite Compton burger joint just made it on my yuck list.
