This place always has an extremely long wait for the drive thru, service is horrible consistently and the last straw, 20 min wait for chicken? Might as well just be called Loco because they usually don’t have chicken ready.

Nice clean place with fast service and the chicken was well prepared. .corn tortillas and other varieties if that’s what you like. .All you can drink horchata !!! Service was ok except the lady who thought my partner double dipped but he didn’t get his food yet. .lol rude as lady told him he already got his food but it was mines that he got some I wad in the bathroom. .don’t come with people and get there food there going to think your stealing chicken

By far the worst pollo loco I’ve been to. Dirty EVERYWHERE. Order was completely wrong had to go back the workers are rude. Salsa bar filthy floor dirty tables dirty I’m wondering how this place even running, slowest service ever always running out of certain things on their menu 10⁄10 I would never go back to that place. If I could rate this place a zero I definitely would.

Horrible service!
First time coming to this location, went through the drive thru and when proceeding to ask for my sides to my chicken combo meal the employee rudely told me she couldn’t give me 2 macaroni and cheese as my sides. She gave no legitimate explanation. Just said no! I felt like my business wasn’t valued.
Once getting to the window, she gave me my order, but left too quickly and didn’t even give me a chance to ask for sauce. After what seemed like endless minutes she finally reappears to see what I wanted and with obvious attitude the employee, named Rosana, returns, never once uttering a word as if she was annoyed.
After visiting this location for the first time on Friday around 10:30pm, it’s safe to say I will take my business to another location. I love pollo loco, just not this one.
I recommend you go somewhere else.

I usually just go through the drive thru but I decided to dine in today. Bad decision. The floors are absolutely disgusting! Im talking about broken forks && spilled fruit punch on their floors. Trash cans are filled to the top on both sides just ugh. Never dine in over here

Good deals, efficient service, and clean. I accidently left my jacket there during lunch and by evening time, I called in to see if they had it … lo and behold, they were still keeping the jacket for me until I picked it up after work. Amazing!

This is one of the better El Polo Loco’s I’ve been to. With so many people trying to eat fairly healthy, the drive-​thru can get pretty backed up.
Pros: friendly, quick customer service
Order is repeated for accuracy
Additional salsas/​dressings are offered
Chicken breast meat is tender, seasoned well, & cooked just right, according to my family (I don’t eat it.)
Lots of options for pescatarian, like me!
Location is near freeway, easily accessible

I just came in for lunch and ordered a 2 piece combo but my chicken was a bit burnt. Also mashed potatoes were too watery. Really gross. I didn’t want to bother saying anything. Although I wish I had for the price I paid. I don’t think I will be coming back.

Other than the time they got my order entirely wrong, they do get them right 90% of the time so woo! As for their speed and service it’s nothing impressive, but I’m not mad when I leave. I’d continue coming to this location.

Well Im PROUD to say El Polo upper management made it right with me! NOT ONLY did the respond ASAP! THEY offered me a discount code which made me feel appreciated! This trip was great everything looked and taste great! I love EL POLO LOCO AGAIN!

May update if this gets any better. Avocado bowl, dried chicken chunks, corn looks dehydrated… why Compton? Well, the Petsmart is on the way home. The wet cat food has to be better than this. Got 2 salads and both had welted lettuce. Not sure if the chicken is suppose to be cold, but it is borderline nasty/​eyebrow raising. It looks as if someone chewed a few pieces and carefully took them out of their mouth and placed on top of the salad. Never again, not cool.

If you have read any of my reviews, then you know how I feel about certain establishments in Compton. It is either a hit or a complete miss. Well since this is our go to El Pollo right off the freeway close to home we frequent here a lot. I am actually very pleased with this one, the service is great, people are friendly, food is hot and fresh, and place is always clean. My favorite thing on menu is their stuffed quesadillas, lots of chicken and avocado, it’s very good. Also love the churros. My only gripe is I wish they had bigger containers for the salsa, it is so annoying to wait for a person who is feeding a family of 30 to fill up 60 small containers of salsa when I’m only trying to get 2. Really???

I will start by saying the two stars are for the friendly cashier and the cleanliness of the restroom. The food one the other hand… They gave me two wings burnt to an unpleasant crisp. This is not the first time I’ve received less than enjoyable food at this location.

–The chicken is great, Rice, beans, tortillas. whenever I want something without TONS of flav.

KISS (Keep It Simple Steve)
This is a brand new El Pollo Loco. Super clean and the service is very fast and efficient (as fast food service goes)
It’s a pretty big place. It even has outdoor seating. Although the view you’ll have is the freeway on ramp lol. Hay, you’re in Compton, what did you expect. Lol.
Stick to the basics.
I love El Pollo Loco, You get a delicious grilled chicken, which is healtheir than the Colonel. and they have healthier sides too.
The side salad with cilantro dressing is outstanding.
I didn’t go with the basic this time and ordered the Avocado Poblano Burrito.
Where’s the avocado? I got to half way and no avocado yet. All the avocado was on the lower third of the burrito. Not a lot of it too. Disappointing burrito.
Go with the grilled chicken. You can’t go wrong. Lol.
