Los Tres Pollos

I’ve never had a problem with the chickens. It’s always been very juicy and delicious. Their food is amazing from the chicken to the chorizo to the rice and beans. This is not a fast food restaurant you don’t go here for the bigger chain style chicken like pollo loco. And don’t expect the same prices either. It’s expected to fluctuate with market prices. Your not going to get the specials that they had 2 years ago.
Please remember this is Compton you will not find five-​star service in Compton. They will be ghetto and a little rude. I mean it’s kinda expected.
I’ve done catering from them once and will again in the future. The only time I did it everyone raved about the food. They couldn’t get enough of it!
I probably go once a month. Its not like I go once a year. Enjoy people !

My parents/​grandparents always rave about the food at this location, and on my way home I decided I would stop by since it wasn’t crowded out side. I ordered a whole chicken meal, with rice and beans for dinner. Nothing that I bought tasted fresh, the chicken was dry and it was obvious that it was reheated, the rice was dry, and hard. The guy at the register was nice, so that’s why I gave it a 2. If it was solely based on the food than a 1 star would be more appropriate.

This location has no Quality serving Bloody Chicken, i don’t doubt that some one will die of salmonella poison .I got 4 f^@*ing Chickens half cook with Blood on all of our food, Dirty nasty location,

They changed the recipe on the chicken!!! Noooo. Why would you do that? The chicken used to be the best grilled chicken I ever had in my life. I was there on 11÷14÷15, I ordered two whole chickens. My family and I were disappointed. It now had a reddish color and tasted completely different. Please continue to make it like you always have and I will change this review to 5 stars.

Always great service, nice and clean and needless to say really good food… we have actually been coming here for years and we love everything. especially the wet burrito with green sauce it is delicious you guys should try

This place has great flavored chicken! It is juicy nd yummy ! The outside does not seem very inviting, however it’s the product that counts! Specially when wanting something fast nd good!

This chicken is the bomb dot com. It’s got a nice grilled flavour and it’s well seasoned. The red salsa, in my opinion is the best.

The food is delicious! Everything is authentic fresh and inexpensive! The place is not pretty but it’s clean and efficient.

This is my favorite chicken in the world! It’s so good! The rice and beans are good too! Authentic food! Freshly grilled each day!

Way better than Pollo Loco and cheaper. I’ve taken this delicious food to DTLA for coworkers and they a loved it. Even the beans are delicious. Oh and the salsas… just one delicious cheap meal.
It is definitely not a comfortable dine in place but amazing for takeout. They bust their butts grilling over a wood fire for our enjoyment!

Chicken and rice is very good at a good price. You get two whole chickens, rice, and beans, tortillas and salsa for 20 bucks! The salsa is one of a kind. We come here for the healthy charbroiled chicken. Best part they take credit cards even as a hole on the wall. They do close early though. One time I went at 7:45pm sign said they closed at 8 but they were already closed. Parking is not that bad plenty on the street and never had a problem.

Parking for a couple of cars only with a sign that says «park at your own risk!» Food may be great, but not worth the «risk»! Went across the street instead!

Damn good chicken. You can taste the wood when you bite into your food.
I got a ½ chicken and fountain diet coke for about ten bucks… I saw lots of locals coming in with their own drinks… It’s because the fountain drink in medium was 1.99…dafuq…You get beans and rice and some thick ass tortillas. The place is well kept, but it is a much older building. This part of Compton reminds me of Detroit a little. I will go again.

Are you kidding me ??? I can not believe somebody left bad reviews here, they are just trying to disgrace the place !!!
I live in Palos Verdes and I go to Compton IN PURPOSE to eat that DELICIOUS CHICKEN !!! Everything is good here, the pollo loco would run out of business if Los Tres Pollos had more restaurants and publicity !!!
Highly recommended food, healthy, delicious and on top of everything it is cheap !!!

The grilled chicken is delicious! So is the rice and salsa. The beans were good. They have no private lot to park in so you have to park on the street which is hard to find space. The lines are long also but it is definitely worth the wait, it’s one of the best grilled chicken i’ve ever had. The environment is okay, it gets loud but that’s why I always order it take out. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves grilled chicken.

This place is the ish!!! I don’t know what those other two reviews are about, but this place totally blew my mind! It is not in the nicest of places but this place is damn good!
The chicken was delicious, it wasn’t over burned, but it still has that good BBQ flavor. I’m not a chicken lover, but this place made me one. The rice is so delicious, think home made with an explosion of flavor! the beans are OK, but still good. They also make home made tortillas which are addicting and a must with every bite of what ever you are eating. They have an open salsa bar with some of the best salsa I’ve tasted. If you don’t like chicken, the menu expands to longanisa and steak. I did not try the steak, but its next on my list. I did how ever try the longanisa a.k.a chorizo… that chorizo is delicious! It doesn’t have a lot of fat and spices that always result in heart burn… All i have to say is that I totally recommend this place to anyone. I also recommend you go in the day if you are not street savvy, but if you are, you wont even have to use your AK!

Okay, I only went because my mom had mentioned that this place was being announced on the radio on how good this joint was.
So, we just got back and as I’m eating this it was not to my likeing. The chicken was dry and had more of the grill flavor than the actual chicken.
I’m not going there noooo more.

Came here at the insistence of my dad when we were strolling through Compton. Casual, right?
The man loves his grilled chicken and this place specializes in it. It’s sort of like a more «authentic» Pollo Loco, except I don’t know if they just throw the chicken in a charcoal pit and leave it there for a week because that’s what it tastes like. Even the beans and rice were bad. How does a Mexican mess that up? Only legit thing about here is their chipotle salsa and hand made tortillas.
