Baja Fresh

I have gone here about 20 times because it is nearby. The food is the same as any Baja Fresh, but the restaurant is always dirty. There is usually food all over the floor and tables and the salsa bar is usually a mess. I have noticed a strong foul oder in the salsa bar/​soda machine area. The bathrooms are no better. Have entered the restaurant before the closing time and have been told by the staff «Sorry we’re closed.» Of course they do this because they want to go home early. One good thing that I have to say is the manager is very friendly and does seem to try hard to offer good customer service.

Ordered fish tacos to go with no avacado got home to shrimp tacos and half way eating it noticed the scraped off avacado stupid idiots I’m allergic er here I come

Nice staff, shrimp quesadilla was amazing. Very clean. What else do you need to know?

I love Baja Fresh and have been a fan since 2007.
Last night I went in to get my favorite after class. Chicken quesadilla, guac and no sour cream. My class got out an hour before closing so I rushed over at 7:45
After calling in a order. Breanna sent me away with a cheese quesadilla on accident. (Which was depressing to realize last minute since I lived in Antioch)
I called in and told her that she made a mistake. she apologized and left a note for dinner shift to give me the correct order the next day (Thank you Breanna)
No hassles from the manager when. I came to get my order and he had it ready in a jiffy and hooked me up free of charge.

Have not been here for nearly a decade. The salsa is awesome! Mango, and the 2 hot ones yum. The service was wonderful-​sweet guy behind the counter.
That’s where the 2 stars stop. The food was pretty dry (spanish rice from the desert) and tasteless (carne asada bowl). And 24 hr later I’m still trying to bribe my daughter to eat her kids meal (dry spanish rice & cheese quesadillas). She LOVES your chips though. :-)

Shrimp ultimo burrito was nice and flavorful, not dry at all. Mango salsa is always good but seemed to be to watery for salsa. The shrimp is always excellent.

Very good, even the picky kids loved their food. The manager saw I was cold as soon as I walked in the door and turned off the air.
The food was fresh and tasty, arrived quickly and very well priced.

Love the Healthy options and the manager is always so sweet.
Always clean and well kept restaurant.
Easy parking and yummy salsa bar.

This place is nasty and the quantity is so little. I got a so called burrito bowl and drink for $ 11.00. So not worth it.

If you want a cold drink, forget it. No ice in either soft drink machine. The unsweetened iced tea dispenses only water. Tables haven’t been wiped down. For a place not that busy on a Sunday afternoon, it seems as if there’s a real lack of caring in this location. If these folks don’t start paying attention to the details, they’ll find the name won’t keep drawing in business.

This place sucks for Mexican food. not too much you can say about the place, other than, it’s just a spot to get full at. Quite honestly I couldn’t even do that the food was so yucky. Coca Cola was good though

Over priced Togo food. Everything is pretty bland. 5 stars because I’m not a typical negative Unilocaler. The quality is goo and it’s close to where I work.

Don’t understand the negative reviews. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. The food is freshly prepared, is in good quantity and is priced reasonably. The chili lime shrimp salad was great and big enough for 2! No issues ever… lucky? Don’t believe in coincidences…

The customer service is awesome here! Everyone was smiling & happy to answer my questions. I asked for chile verde sauce for my wet burrito, instead of the usual red sauce, they don’t have it on the menu. But the sauce was available by special request!
The food is good & the portion was LARGE. I also love that they have unsweetened iced tea & I hoard their drink cups because they’re reusable with lids & straws! Totally worth the price!

The food is just not good.
The chips: Stale. Tasted like they have been sitting out for days.
Baja bowl: The food came lukewarm. The rice was like mush and the texture of everything in the bowl was mooshy. I had the carnitas bowl and I’m not really sure what I was eating. To be fair though, the carnitas itself was pretty moist and flavorful.
Steak and shrimp burrito (Baja style): This was decent. There was a good char on the steak and shrimp that gave the burrito pretty good flavor. However, there was some liquid leaking out of the burrito that looked like water which was confusing.
I was nervous to eat the salsa because they were not covered and there was a fly flying around the place. They are known for their mango salsa but the flavor was not right and did not taste fresh.
I think if you don’t want too much disappointment and have to eat here order a burrito.

Came here because we wanted to get some Mexican fast food and the get back on the road. I was not pleased. We ended up sitting outside because all the tables in the place were too high for kids and or not enough seats for a family with kids.
The tables outside look like they have never been cleaned. We had to clean our table ourselves. The décor outside was neglected. The food tasted horrible. No flavor. Chicken tasted so bland. The kids cheese quesadilla didn’t even have much cheese in it. We won’t be coming back. Sorry!

Ordered a custom steak and shrimp lime salad… crazy good!
The customer service was pretty good… The cashier seemed pretty new… The spot where this is located seems it would make it busier… but after reading the many negative Unilocal maybe that’s why it isn’t. I will actually come here again since my son now has baseball games nearby. I love the variety in the salsa bar and appreciate them making me something not on the menu! The salad was pretty darn good… and the chips and salsa phenom!

Excellent meals with very fresh vegetables. Had a shrimp citrus salad that had the freshest vegetables I’ve had in a while. Awesome presentation and excellent taste.
Value for money spent was exceptional. I have been extremely satisfied with each visit. I look forward to my next visit for the freshest salad in Concord.

This place is great for getting fun, healthy, and affordable meals for kids and families. They have seating indoors and out and some grassy areas where the kids could run and play. They are under new management which seems to have improved the quality of their food. The quality of the employees is about average for a fast food restaurant. Parking is easy.
If you have a young kids and want them to have a healthy meal, this is the place to go!

They served me a surf and turf with shrimp that were were grey and pink! Yuck!
They insisted on making it again. I insisted on a refund. They should have made it right the first time. I was the only customer in the store at the time.
I left feeling queasy :(
