We went there for an office Christmas lunch last year. We faxed our orders early so we would have our lunches ready. We didn’t get our bread until after an hour of sitting there. Service was awful because they were under staffed. After we left we realized they overcharged us. When I brought this to their attention they accused us of lying and that they had video cameras to prove it. There food is very good but I wouldn’t go back again. I should have Unilocaled this earlier but our office was recalling last year’s holiday lunch and what a bad experience we had.

It breaks my heart that this place closed down. Honestly the best Italian restaurant i have ever been to. Even the salads made your mouth water and took your breath away. There is nothing I would have ever changed about this place. Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and exceptional prices for the quality and quantity. I wish I could follow the chef to wherever he is now. If this place comes back, I’ll be the first in line to order one of everything on the menu. I have some really great memories here, and drive past everyday. I keep hoping one day to see that open sign light back up!

I showed up here with my sister for brunch. A big variety of meals. Our server was Helen. She was very nice and kept checking up on us. Although she kept forgetting my beverage when I ordered one. I’ll be coming back for dinner.

The experience here starts with the food and oh goodness, it’s exceptional. This chef is passionate and it puts all of his magic right there on the plate. The service was professional and prompt and my dining buddy Doug and I gobbled down everything sent to the table. We wanted more as we started drooling like hungry dogs! Bravo bravo Bravo Bistro, we will definitely be back!

Three hours to have a prix fix meal. Unbelievable! Worst service ever! Our bartender was the server, bussed, and I think cook! Offered parm cheese but gave us feta cheese Ran out of dessert so we got a mosh mash of desserts I have been here since six and am trying to get the check so we can go home and put this behind us.

Myself and my party of six picked the worst possible night to go to bravo bistro. The service wasn’t that good and the noise level was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. It was unbelievably loud. Conversation was next to impossible. Afterwhile though I noticed there were large tables with about 50 high school students who came in after us, hence, the noise level. I had arrived at 6 o’clock and by 730 we still hadn’t received our meals. Once we finally received our food, it was good. As we were about to leave the 50 high school girls all left at the same time because they were fed up of waiting for their food. I didn’t blame them. Bravo bistro sorely needs some better management. Our evening was pretty much ruined because of this fiasco.

They must have some new staff from when folks had such terrible experiences here before, because our experience tonight was lovely; quiet classical guitar music, quick and friendly service(it was our waiter’s first shift, he said he just got hired), delicious food and drinks. Only removing one star because the chicken was a little bit dry in my pasta dish(but everything else was good). I hope folks give this place another chance, because they appear to be working in turning things around.

After having lunch today, I just remembered the first week that Bravo Bistro opened doors for business, with amazing food! Today after a long time, I had a very great lunch at Bravo Bistro, I am very happy with it. Thank you to the chef. I highly recommend it!

Now I know why this place is always empty, it’s horrible. SLOWSERVICE: We were the only diners in the entire restaurant the whole evening, yet it still took 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive, and 20 minutes for our entrees to arrive. TERRIBLEAMBIANCE: While we were waiting for our food, it was hard to ignore the loud Hip hop dance music blasted over the speakers. I actually like this kind of music but not when I am trying to have a nice conversation over a nice meal. There were also weird bugs flying around us which was weird. MEDIOCREFOOD: My friend ordered the salmon that gave her stomach problems for the rest of the evening. I ordered the lamb shank which had pieces that were so dry I couldn’t even chew it. For the quality and quantity of food you get, the food is terribly overpriced. Next time I want Italian food, I’m going back to Melo’s, just down a few blocks on Contra Costa Blvd.

1 star! Because zero wasn’t an option!!! Let me start by saying that we drive by here almost everyday. My wife and I had been wanting to try this place for a while. Today we were lucky and both had free time for lunch. When we opened the door and walked in, we thought we might be under dressed? But no worries because we waited at the entrance for over 5 mins for the only waiter to greet us or seat us. Now I know I say 1 waiter but there was only 1 table with 2 people and he spend most of the time we were there hiding in the waiter station! Couldn’t hear us? Maybe because the music was too loud? Couldn’t see us? Maybe because of all the crap near the front door? Either way. Very bad first impression. Unfortunately… They might have great food but if we can sit to eat then we will never know. It’s too bad… We will never go back to find out.

This is a really good restaurant, in quality of food and level of service. The location, however, is brutal. Tucked away behind a Cash For Gold place and overshadowed by an adjacent mattress store, it is hard to find and hard to access. For that reason, they don’t get the crowds they deserve, which is a shame since it is much better than many places in downtown WCK that are consistently packed. Tonight, I had Petrale Sole and hubby had Carbonara, both were delectable and generous enough to warrant 2 boxes coming home. We started with Lobster Bisque. Aside from an excess of fresh parsley, it was rich, briny & flavorful. The wine list isn’t huge but those offered are good enough and they serve their whites very cold, which I personally appreciate. Give this place a try… you have to be going north on Contra Costa Blvd to get into the tiny parking lot. It’s just south of the corner of CCB& Willow Pass.

Went here with some coworkers last month. Wasn’t sure what to expect. I saw the online menu and it all sounded really good. The décor was pretty dark, but elegant. Our waiter was nice, with a dry sense of humor. Had a hard time deciding what to order, but ended up with the chicken sandwich. I guess you can say it was a fancy chicken sandwich. But I’m not complaining because it was really good. I mean, REALLY good. A few of my coworkers ordered desserts and they looked pretty. I had a taste of some really rich chocolate. I’ll have to go back and try other items on the menu.

Me and my wife have been here 5 times. Service and food was great 4 of the times. Last time the service was absolutely horrible. We showed up, all the lights were off, nobody was there, but the sign said they had been open for an hour. Bread was not ready, no one brought us water. Then my least favorite thing we had to wait 30 minutes for the check. I really dont like being held hostage at my table. The food quality went down? The portions got smaller? They discontinued the salmon. Not sure whats happening but we will never return. The british waitress we had all the previous times was great, but whoever this lady was last time was absolutely horrible. I understand if there is bad service if you are busy, but there wasn’t anyone there. We will never return to this place!

We’ve had dinner at Bravo Bistro several times now. It’s a gem. The food is delicious. I ordered the Lasagna that the guy from Martinez(Mark l.) posted a picture of below and it was DELICIOUS. It’s not the Lasagna you find at your average Italian restaurant… this is BETTER. It looks like Mark smashed and smeared it all around on his plate and then took a picture of it as if that’s how it was served. Dishonest Mark! This dished reminded me of(and tasted similar to) The Dead Fish’s Crab Lasagna (I think it’s called). Very good. Dishes are served gourmet style — a lot of thought goes into presentation and taste. A basket of warm bread is served before your food arrives. It’s always been right out of the oven each time we are there. I had the garden salad this time — a sweet tasting vinagrette sprinkled with walnuts and blue cheese crumbles. FABULOUS. I inhaled the whole thing. I always order a Vodka Tonic(I’m not a wine drinker) and they are always perfect. We order the«Pyramid» for dessert — it’s a chocolate mousse. Delicious! The service is fabulous — they are very attentive and accommodating and eager to please. The atmosphere is pleasant and elegant. Tonight we were serenaded by a very good pianist and singer. For those of you not sure yet — take a look at their photo album on here to get an idea of the type of food and the portion sizes. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. We’ll be taking our family here and maybe even having our company party here! Good job Bravo Bistro.

Had dinner here tonight and it was BAD! Started with bread which was light with a nice crunchy crust but a yeasty taste. I ordered a glass of Cab which was recommended by the waitress. It had no body and very little flavor. My wife order an extra dirty martini. She asked for a little more«dirty» and the waitress brought the olive container from the bar and told her to pour in as much as she wanted explaining the olive juice was clear and didn’t have much flavor-she was right. Next I had what was supposed to be portobello mushroom soup. Tasted like canned beef soup-where’s the mushroom? My wife ordered one of the specials-scampi with scallops and grilled vegetables. Two skewers with 4 rubberized shrimp and 1 scallop cut in half. She thinks it was in the same sauce that was my soup. I had the lasagna-I think. Had been nuked so much I had no structure or taste and was smothered in a creamy tomato sauce. I ordered another glass of Cab(different) and it was so bad I didn’t drink it. First and last time for this place. Should’ve gone to Micky D’s and saved $ 65.00.

I went here for my graduation celebration with my boyfriend and mother in law. I was looking for a place last minute and went on to find a great Italian restaurant. And I came across this on Unilocal and saw how many stars they had. So I went on their website and found an awesome app called open table where you can book your table online and if you need to change or adjust it you can do so. We arrived and it was so beautiful. I hear it’s a new place, the ambiance is amazing! Candle light and low lighting in the room which was very nice. There weren’t very many people that night so our waitress was devoted to us and a few other couples and friends. We ordered and she recommended some dinner entrees and drinks. The pomme frites(French fries) were delicious!!! They are fancy French fries and sooooo yummy a must have! I got the penne Alfredo with shrimp and it was delicious! The rest of my party enjoyed their dinners as well. My honey ordered a drink on the drink list, it was the first on the list cannot remember the name. It had berries and came in a martini glass it was delicious! Then after we received our food we started to hear live piano playing! What a treat! And since there were only a few of us we were al able to make requests and the pianist was AMAZING!!! He was so pleasant, sweet, talented andmade our dinner a night to remember. That took everything up a notch! And there were 3 older ladies who started talking to us who were regulars and the atmosphere became even nicer with polite friendly company. It’s very conveniently located right across the street from the concord Sunvalley Mall right on the border of concord and pleasant hill super easy to find!!! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who asks! I’m so happy I took a chance on this place it was totally worth it!

This review is based on an a single experience from a reserved party that practically reserved the whole restaurant(aside from the bar tables and back corner table) The parking lot is fairly small. We got here when there were no other people parked. Our reservations for our large party weren’t until 4 so we waited until then. At about 4, more 3 or so cars in our party parked and a worker from the restaurant started coning the entrance. We did not know what it was until he started parking their cat. Apparently there is valet for a parking lot that could fit 20 cars. We start entering the restaurant at around 4 and wait until 430 to start sitting down. Apparently they thought our party started at 5 even though the contract said 4. The chairs were put together so close that the chairs were even touching one another. How in the world are we expected to sit and eat in such close proximity ? When our grandparents entered the room and sat down, a me few people sitting around me got up to say hello, only to find that another server was trying to take our chairs to make another table on the side. When serving salad, the servers kept skipping over people. The salad even looked different from one side of the table to the other. One salad looked like Caesar eve the other looked like honey mustard drizzle. One person got a plateful of salad while other people clearly got half of that. Other people got a few croutons while some only got one measly croûton. Before our food was even served, waiters would refill our water. The waiter even passes my empty water cup to refill my cousins next to me even after I pushed it forward for him to see. After the food was served, no more waiters refilled our water. While waiting for the food, we saw a waiter serving food to another table so we patiently waited for it. Turns out, they stopped serving it and put it by the bar for people to get themselves. Wouldn’t have known that unless someone have told us. Eventually the food(main dishes) were ready to get by the bar, but the wait staff failed to make room by collecting our finished salad and bread plates. People from our party started bussing their own tables to make room. In the middle of service, there was a 5 minute pause because they ran out of food. On the table, they had two sets of paella and pasta set on opposite ends of the table. They claimed both sides were the same, but they were not. One side had salmon while the other did not. Also, one side paella looked completely different than the other. One side was cooked good while the other was undercooked, dry and hard. After dinner was served, it was very hard to get any type of fountain drink. Would wait like 5 minutes in front of the bar before a worker would come to pour me a glass of soda. Eventually a worker would announce to the whole room if anyone wanted soda. There was one glass of sprite and the worker decided to give it to a female and said he would bring another to my cousin. He never returned. Overall, the experience at this restaurant was ok. A lot if stress for the people that planned it. Seemed like the restaurant was under staffed and un prepared. Food quality inconsistent.

Very neat Italian restaurant in this city. This place was very close to our hotel and we decided to eat here last minute. My favorite part of the place is the music. There is live music on Saturday night. This elderly plays the piano and sings a lot of old hits. The cutest part was seeing an older couple get up from their seats and start dancing the night away. I enjoyed the appetizer the most. It was a shrimp and crab risotto cake with a nice balsamic reduction glaze. The plate was very playful and artsy. The cakes were nice and crispy and had a good flavor to it. I enjoyed the balsamic glaze very much! I ordered a traditional bolognese pasta. The pasta was cooked well, the sauce was meaty and hearty. I’ve had pretty awesome pasta in LA, so this plate was good enough to eat and enjoy dinner. I was too full to eat dessert and just wined-out from drinking at the wineries. The service could have been a lot better. The restaurant was not full at all. The waiter forgot to give us table settings, refill out water, forgot to give us oil and balsamic for our bread and didn’t even offer us dessert. He just handed us the check after he cleared out the table.
