DaVi Nails

Oh wow… this was a last minute adventure for my friend and I and I really should have done my homework on Unilocal.What everyone has says on the recent posts are true.
I only gave two starts because the place was clean and neat. The staff was not so nice and my pedicure was not so relaxing. They were rough with my feet. Did not enjoy it at all and to top it off they overcharge on what they say! Not happy with this place but lesson learned to check out a place on Unilocal before going even if it was a spur of the moment trip.

Sigh. It’s my own fault for going back after I wasn’t entirely happy the first five times.
In their defense, I actually really liked my pedicure this last visit. It still looks pretty good about 2 weeks later, and the design is really cute.
However, my cuticles, my poor, poor cuticles, will never forgive me. It seems that every time I get a manicure here, a couples days later my cuticles look like someone took a citrus grater to them. Super painful, and not cute.
Also, and I really hate to bring this up BUT, I was with my best friend who is African American and one of the manicurists made some derogatory comments to her while doing her nails. My friend is amazing and took it so gracefully, and I’m sure the person did not mean to be so. ignorant (right word? not sure.). but it was inappropriate.

I call to make an appointment. and found out they are closed…

I got my gels filled here once. I’d have to say that the end product wasn’t what I had hoped for. The girl who worked on them didn’t do a good job shaping the tips or blending down the old edges under the fill, so you could see the old gel really clearly.
It’s not too expensive, but my first impression of the quality of work I’d get here is enough for me to move this one down further on my list of nail salons.

Sign in the window states $ 20 pedi I got charged $ 25 + tip for mine… Maybe cause I got it French… But still!
Awkwardness with employees feel like they’re talking crap about me and they speak their language with each other but what’s new in vietnamese shops. The ladies there sounded like they were hecka gossiping! Two girls who worked their sat on the spa chairs with feet all up chatting away… and the Vietnamese videos playing added to the awkwardness.
My toes chipped within 24 hours and that’s pretty unusual for pedis. I won’t give this place a third chance, I won’t be coming back.

WOW! i finally found a shop that i really like. they’re a little expensive but well worth it. I have been here twice and will defiantly make this my new nail shop! They do everything from money tips, glitter tips, personal nail designs, stamp tips, dried flowers. bring it in and they can do it. Most shops when you are for «square nails» give you something rounded. UgH well here they make them really really square!!! but the best thing is they speak english! they also stayed open 2 hours after they closed to finish me and my girls nails! i love this place!

UPDATE: I have been going here for a while, they keep on having new staff don’t know what the hell they’re doing! i just got my nails done a week ago and 2 broke. Ugh. i spent 45 BUCKS! not worth it now that the economy is bad. i rather drive back to my old shop in castro valley cause i know they will last 3 weeks and look amazing!

Though I didnt care for the employees they have a really nice place. Everything is clean, looks fresh and updated, the stations are set up nicely, etc. I just went in for a manicure and it took forever. They have one of those drimmels to sand off the underneath of your nails… which did a good job until they missed spots.
They accept credit cards, have a few designs, and some spa pedicure chairs… dont see myself coming back anytime soon but nothing bad about this place, just not what Im looking for.
