Would have been a 4⁄5 but the thing is really killing it. Figure it out, take them to small claims, but I come expecting a coupon and you should deliver. Don’t sign contracts if you can’t keep them. If they wronged you: take them to court. Your argument shouldn’t reflect on your customers. Food is typical fried stuff. I only came for drinks.

Warning: this restaurant does not accept their own gift certificate!!! We bought Fin’s $ 25 gift certificate from on 9⁄30 and we had dinner at Fin’s on 10⁄1. When we try to use the gift certificate to pay the bill, the restaurant owner came by and told us they no longer accept the gift certificate(what? We bought it yesterday!). He said he post a note on the door(it was evening and their door was wide open, it’s just no way to see the note). I didn’t want to argue over $ 25, so I paid the bill without using the gift certificate. But the way they operate the business does make me sick! We felt like been tricked to come here, paid an over priced bill for some mediocre food. I wish I could give him no star because dishonest business doesn’t deserve anything! We definitely will never come back again!

Oh boy. This was a bit of a disappointment. Our coconut shrimp were very greasy, oil dripping off of them, which tells me that they were fried in oil that wasn’t hot enough. In addition, they were over cooked, tough and flavorless. The fish they used for the fish and chips was very fishy, definitely not your traditional haddock or cod fish and chips. It wasn’t bad, just odd. The steak fries were luke warm and under cooked. The burger was a frozen, completely over cooked and flavorless patty. It seems as if this is a neighborhood bar that is making a go of being a restaurant and failing miserably. One redeming quality is that the bar serves Powers Whiskey, a rare and fine whiskey from Ireland.

The hubby and I frequent Fins for 3 reasons: The service is on point. The drinks are even better. And the food is delish! Service: The staff makes you feel like one of their own. They remember you after the first visit and always try to make it a pleasant time for you. Drinks: Full bar. If you like Blue Moon, you’ll love their Orange Kush! Same beer they use as the batter for their Fish and Chips. They run happy hours twice a day(3−6pm &10-close) but also have drink specials daily. Food: Oysters!!! Sooooo good! Aside from that, everything is pretty good and fresh. Between the hubby and I, we’ve tried almost the whole menu and nothing has been disappointing. You should definitely try the fish tacos. It’s not your typical dipped-in-batter-and-fried-fish taco, but has fresh chunks of grilled fish with an amazing sauce.

Ha, wow almost a year exactly from my last review of this place. Came back for another visit for a mid-week lunch. We had the fish and chips, coconut shrimp with a crab cake appetizer. They over fried the fish and chips, outer looked pretty dark. Crab cake was good. I’ve had better but this was good enough. The highlight of the day was the coconut shrimp. Huge shrimp with your choice of marmalade or sweet chili dip. The service was okay. Not service with a smile, but just a guy going through the motions. I have to give them a 2 because 2 is when you’ve experienced better.

Great place to go to in Todos Santos park. We went here on a beautiful Saturday evening and was in the mood for Orange Kush Fish and Chips. I ordered them to go and made friendly conversation with the Bartender. She was very informative about the Restaurant and told me about the History of Fins. As it turns out, her Husband also owns Tiki Toms in Walnut Creek. When we got home, I was little surprised about how small the order looked for $ 11.00. 3 pieces of Fish and the Steak Fries looked a little on the small side. The Fish was crispy and flavorful but it was not flaky enough in my opinion. I want to try the Crab Salad Sandwich or the Crabmelt with a Cup of Clam Chowder next time. The lady did give a coupon for next time, and I plan to use it. 3 Stars for place’s vibe, cleanliness, and helpful staff, 1 Star for the portion of the food.

Not a fan. We came here twice, once we got to go and both times we were highly disappointed. It is definitely pricey for what it is and the quality was just okay. The crab sandwich had shells in it and it was on just plain sliced bread. I felt it was really skimp on both the crab sandwich and the crab melt. We had also ordered the pepper fries thinking they’d be something special but they were just fries with black pepper on it, and not even enough pepper! When I ordered to go, I also had to wait a very long time for the food to come out even calling 30 min ahead.

I’m a fan of their fish & chips with salt and pepper fries. They use mahi mahi fish and the fish is moist with perfectly crisp batter. I also enjoyed their fish special — pan fried salmon with orange cream sauce served with rice and vegetables. So good! This restaurant/bar is a great addition to Todos Santos park!

I think I’m getting spoiled by all the great restaurants in SF. I seem to hold all restaurants to a very high standard & I get very disappointed when they fail to deliver. I’ve become a food snob! Fin’s is a great restaurant for Concord. It’s a cute little neighborhood place with great service & a nice patio for outdoor dining. They have a full bar & some interesting(& yummy) cocktails. I just have a problem with a seafood restaurant using fake crab(aka Krab). I am crazy about crab. Krab, not so much. The first time I ate here I ordered the crab melt. It seemed to have a mixture of crab & krab. It tasted OK, but of course I would have preferred the real thing. The second time I visited I asked about the crab louis salad. The server stated that it was made with krab. Should they put a disclaimer on the menu? I’m not sure, but at least now I know to ask. They do use real crab in their crab cakes & crab puffs. We ordered the puffs as an appetizer & they were quite good. I ended up with the fish special which was tilapia in a green olive sauce. It was delicious! As long as I stick to the fish & real crab offerings here(as well as the finjito’s…yes!) I’ll be happy & I will return.

I love this place! The food is fresh, tasty, and well-priced. The Crab Melt Sandwich is delectable! The oysters are really fresh and I am addicted to them Nice bar area with a good selection and a great team of bartenders. I really enjoy coming here on Sunday afternoon for some lunch and to watch football with my girlfriend. Do yourself a favor and check this new joint out!

Yes. It’s that time of year again. LENT. As I call it, Fish Fridays. Yes, it’s Catholic custom to refrain from eating meat on Fridays during Lent. Thus, my search for seafood options for the next 5 Fridays begins. I saw my Unilocal homegirls Ivy R’s and Emily J’s reviews for this spot. They say it’s legit, so I decided to try it out for lunch yesterday. I’m so glad I did because this place is truly a gem! Yays: ~ They serve hot tea in cute tea presses ~ Overall, very clean. Filled with nautical décor, but not tacky. ~ Waitress was super nice and attentive ~ My crab salad sandwich with the side salad was yummy and just the right amount of portion. ~ Tons of flat screen TVs around dining area. Would probably serve as a great happy hour spot. Nays: ~ It was way way too cold in the restaurant. It felt like we were dining in a refrigerator. Overall, I would definitely come here again and try out their dinner entrees. I’m a fan!

Several people have recommended Fin’s to me since it opened and it just didn’t live up to the hype, not quite making 3 stars. First off, Fin’s had that bleach smell that just turns me off in a restaurant. It’s definitely a bar vibe(several TVs going), which is fine. Even the tables are tall with bar stools. Their menu is heavy on the shellfish. We shared the two fish specials… one a mahi mahi and the other salmon in a «orange cream» sauce. Hubby liked the orange cream sauce but it was sickeningly sweet to me. The mahi mahi was okay. A bit overcooked and over salted. I tried hubby’s clam chowder and found it too thick and not particularly special. Everybody at the table still felt like they needed a little something else after the meal… portions are on the small side. The waitress didn’t have much to do and over-visited our table seemingly nonstop. We’d take our kid here for a quick fish n chips and beer(for us) again… but not hurrying back if we want to linger over a meal with friends.

I love clam chowder. In fact every restaurant I go to that has clam chowder I get it just to see if it satisfies my clam chowder needs. And unfortunately Fin’s did not. I came on a Wednesday during lunch hour, it didn’t build up until halfway-through our meal. I ordered the lunch fish and chips as well as the clam chowder. The fish and chips were good, especially the chips. But I’m sorry isn’t the fish supposed to outshine the chips in that category?! Anyways onto the clam chowder. I absolutely HATEDIT! The waitress said it was creamy… um she lied! It was more thick and gelatinous, and it didn’t even look like it was made with heavy cream, it was some sort of opaque white. It had the most awful texture to be accompanied with the most awful taste. I didn’t even eat it all. I probably will go again to try other foods but not the clam chowder, it was disgusting!

I really want to like this place for its convenient location and super friendly staff, but the food was OK. The prices were good, I got the half crab sandwich with clam chowder for $ 6.95. The soup was way too thick and the bread on the sandwich did not seem as fresh as it could have been. The crab sandwich had an interesting taste to it, a bit sweet like they mixed crab with«krab». I do not know this to be fact, but I think I know my crab and I know I don’t like«krab» with a K. The best part of my lunch was the cocktail. I believe it was called spoiled fruit. Yummy! Pear Vodka, Citrus Patron, and some other yummy goodness was thrown in. I will probably go back and have another one of those drinks and check out the appetizers.

Probably won’t eat here again. A seafood restaurant should have an oyster bar if they sell oysters. I didn’t see one and when I walked to the bathroom, you pass the kitchen and I didn’t notice any tanks or anything oysters on ice — but, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything to some people. We order 12 oysters and a crab louie salad. The lemons for the oysters and salad were all brown on the inside of the lemon slices. I asked for them to be replaced and they were replaced with more brown ones(what??!). The oysters were good, I didn’t get sick, thank God. The crab louie was mediocre at best. Walnut Creek Yacht Club has a crab louie that’s not on the menu and they serve it with gobs and gobs of fresh crab. They also have an oyster bar. Price is probably comparable… would definitely go there before Fin’s on the Square. For a drink and nice ambiance, would return… but, only for that.

Solid eatery. Good atmosphere. Full bar. I had the crab melt and it was really good. It was not too sloppy and had plenty of crab meat inside. Side of fries as good as well I ordered a cup of coffee and was surprised to find that it was really good coffee. Turns out it’s purchased from a local coffee shop. Definite plus. One member of our party ordered fish and chips. While it was tasty, the fish portion was on the small side. Otherwise great.

In the words of New Edition, Candy Girl: You are my world Look so sweet You’re a special treat I am constantly looking for a full bar, good food establishments near where I live. After Emily J’s review, my suspicions were confirmed that this was worthy of an excursion by me and my husband. We were to early for Happy Hour but who cares. This place is Great! As we pulled up we saw a whole heard of old people walking in and my husband said that is always a bad sign. I told him I don’t care, I trust Emily J. and we are eating here no matter what. Parking is kind of bad. One of the bus boys told us to park in the parking garage and it should be fine but street parking is only for 2 hours. Now to the food and drink. There was to many things to try on one visit alone. This just means we will be coming back, repeatedly. We started out with a beverage of Davey’s Lemonade. Van Gough Pomegranate Vodka with Lemonade. Really good. I really liked it. One observation I had was that they had way to many adult beverages with Patron and other Tequilas. I’m not a fan of Tequila so they need to add more Vodka, Rum options, less Tequila. We started with Pepper Shooters. Oyster Shooters with a bunch of salsa type mix on top. The Oyster itself was GINORMOUS! A lady sitting next to us felt bad for me for trying to eat it. It was HUGE! If you really, really like Oyster Shooters this is a shooter for you. To big for me though. The second drink was the Blueberry Mojito. The best drink here. I asked for not to much mint and the bartender served it in a martini glass up. It was so good we drank like 6 of them. I also took about 10 pictures of it but chose only one out the bunch to share. This drink is amazing. If its not served this way every time, it should be. It was one of the most unique drinks I’ve yet to have, and I’ve had them all over the world. I had the Crab Melt,(because I love Crab Melts), a bowl of the special Chicken Spinach Soup, and a side Salad. Crab Melt wasn’t as flavorful as some that I have had but was still good and fresh tasting. The soup was really good, like a homemade chicken noodle without the noodle. Salad was very good and the perfect amount of Ranch dressing on it. My husband had his all time go to favorite. If a restaurant has this he will eat it, Coconut Shrimp. He loved it and said that he would order two orders if he could. We decided to drink the rest instead. We are making this place a new destination. We are even coming back for Happy Hour. Plus there are to many things on the menu for you to try at one sitting, you’d have to come multiple times. So new, that’s why I referred to the New Edition song Candy Girl. A great New Edition to Concord. We will be back.

LOVETHISPLACE! I walked in tonight looking for some good eats & that’s what i got. Had a cup of their 7-seafood stew & the crab cake entrée. Yum! Well seasoned. Not over cooked. Everything went really well. The bartender was super friendly, too. Try the Funjito if you’ve got a sweet tooth & the chocolate surprise(whatever it may be) if you’ve got several sweet teeth. Tonight was a 3-layer chocolate cake… it was huge! I had to take it to-go. Couldn’t let it go to waste. There’s not much by the way of seafood in Concord, so if you’re looking for a good place — this is a great one! (and if you’re a sports fan… you’re in luck too!)

Oh my my my. This place is so darn good that I’m not even done eating my meal and I’m already compelled to Unilocal my love for Fin’s from the mountain tops. I have three words for you: Fish and Chips. I got the lunch portion with a cup of clam chowder to go and am seriously having a hard time not going back to the fridge to get my second half. The fish is so moist and flavorful with a batter that is pretty much perfect. The fries are your basic steak fries, and those are cooked well also. It’s incredible, really. Oh, and the tarter sause is pretty bomb also. The clam chowder is good — not the best I’ve had, but for chowder in California it’s pretty fricken great. My only complaint is that the folks were a little weird about my to go order, but I think it was my fault for coming in and placing it. Definately call ahead if you’re taking it back to the office — or just eat it there. :) So going back soon to try the crab sandwich and the finjito!

My honey and I had lunch here today. I hope that others give this place a try too. The service was great. The waitress was knowledgeable and genuinely interested in making our lunch experience a good one. When I asked for iced tea she made a point to let me know that the ice tea they serve is fruity but has no added sugar. It was very tasty and refreshing. I appreciate that they have lunch sized portions of most of their dishes. This also means lunch sized prices. I got the fish and chips with regular fries.(they also have steak fries and pepper fries) The fish was delicious and I like that it is made with local beer. The fish was tender and the coating crispy. It didn’t even need the tarter sauce. They have outdoor seating facing the plaza that I plan to take advantage of once it starts to cool down. This is a lovely addition to Todos Santos Plaza.
