High Five Music Academy gets 5 Stars! The facility is managed and operated by a true professional in the Bay Area music scene, Mr. Chris Meeks. He raises the bar in learning and performing music to a standard that will excel his students. A true pioneer in the field of music. High 5!

I hesitated to post before now, because I’m yet another 50-​something person who benefits greatly from Chris Meek’s patient approach (guitar, in my case). He also gets into music reading and theory, as deep as you want to go.
But Chris and High Five are not just for elders … I’ve also had a chance to see him with children and teens, and he truly engages youngsters in the love of music.
Lastly … we don’t have many local venues for engaging deeply in the arts. High Five is an ever-​improving treasure.

I’ve been taking classes here for nearly a year now. My teacher, Chris, is a great combination of inspiration and patience, which is necessary, because I am in my 50’s and have never played an instrument before. In lessons, I enjoy that I am able to learn new songs while simultaneously tackling new techniques. Chris is incredibly talented as both a musician and a teacher, and my family is incredibly thankful that my ukulele playing has improved under his tutelage.
