Juan’s Garden Maintenance

Juan C. Rios Landscaping was to care for our parents yard until we could sell the house. On our visits back we found the back bank covered with human feces and large wads of paper towels — visible to the neighbors. We’d asked that they not blow off the rich humus that my parents had added over decades — they blew all the soil away so the white pipes showed all over. I asked that he post termite stakes in the soil at the base of the walls and throw away the box — but he left the box out on a back table for all the prospective buyers to see. He did rectify problems after I complained, but I only visited bimonthly. Now that my mother has passed away — who would never say an unkind word about anyone — I can freely share that I would never recommend this company to anyone.

They didn’t even return my call. I guess they don’t like potential business. Go figure.

Juan did very good job for cleaning up my yard. I hired him 3 times and very satisfied his work. Tried to call him recently but no call back. I guess he has many customers and I’m not the regular one so he did not reply my call. Hope he will call me back soon.

Juan has been doing my landscape and yard past 5 years. He does everything. sprinklers, low voltage light, fertilize and prune. I have a yard that requires some special care. He has keeped it looking like better homes and Garden. Thanks Juan, you know you are like family.
Can’t find a better Gardener.

I recently moved and needed someone to do yard maintenance for our house. I had a difficult time finding someone since there were hardly any reviews on Unilocal for this area, so I asked my neighbor who he uses. He referred me to Juan Rios. I am so happy with Juan and his brother who have taken care of my yard for several months now. Juan is a hard worker, very thorough, and doesn’t shy away from hard work and always does such a great job. Within the first month he brought a large ladder to my yard to cut all the dead palm fronds from a tree that had been neglected for years… keep in mind, those things are filled with large thorn like branches and cutting them off the tree and then to size to fit in the green waste can is not easy. One day when I was home, I noticed them hand picking small weeds around a tree in our front yard… any other gardener would have waited until they were a bit bigger and then just weed wacked them. I guess what I want to be sure to convey, is that they both have an attention to detail, and just do such a great job. The monthly price I pay is very reasonable! Please don’t hesitate to give them a try… I know you won’t be disappointed. And by the way, if it helps to know, he was raised in Concord and graduated from Concord High. He is bi-​lingual, but his English is perfect.
