Come here every so often but each time my blazin ball tip sandwich is made perfect! Not to mention it is always a clean lobby.

Legit and delicious. Had the signature sub and loved it. If in the area, would definitely recommend eating at this place of looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat.

Serious question. What is with them washing their latex gloves after they handle money, and before they make your sandwich? There’s gotta be a health department concern or violation with that. Does anyone else notice this?

The BBQ(pork ribs) lack flavor. Mild links still a bit spicy, sides I selected weren’t at all any good — the creamy Mac & cheese taste tangy(like maybe they added sour cream) the baked beans topped with cheese are a school lunch room kinda gross. The BBQ sauce is pretty good but not good enough to save this meal. The service was fast and friendly but I wouldn’t return for the food.

Place is overrated, my Kinder’s experience was I spent a lot of $ not enough food, and the food was just alright, not the experience I expected. We went to the Concord location staff was polite in a sarcastic way, food was small portion(everyone was telling me about big portions) I was disappointed with the place.
My host was felicia. She did not look happy at all, like she hated her job. My sandwich was cold as hell. Bread and chicken. Mac n cheese was okay but too much cheddar in my opinion. Asked for pricing for baked potato and all i got was«its by weight»… would have been nice to have known how much approximately that solo potato was… will likely not return

The best bbq place in Concord!!! Customers can buy cooked food or have a choice of buy marinated meats and cook at home. Portions are pretty big. They have some promotions for those who use social media such as Unilocal ;-)

Got the brisket sandwich, it was very good tender & tasty. My husband got pork ribs & beef. Pork was old & very dry we must have gotten the last of lunch prep’d stuff from the morning. His cut of beef was mostly fatty. Not impressed after all I had heard anout their quality meats. first time visiting, last time.

This place is a carnivore’s heaven! The smell, the action, and oh the meat selections. They even have a meat counter where you can get a variety of cuts of meat. Their famous Spicy Ball Tip sandwich was delicious. Mind you, I have no idea was a Ball Tip cut is! We didn’t try the side dishes but they all looked great! They also sell their different kinds of marinades and sauces for home use. The only problem? Their locations are only in Contra Costa County. Come down to the South Bay! Service was fast and efficient!

they have their own parking lot. this place can get busy really fast. the line can go pretty fast also. their sandwiches are awesome! i had the pulled bbq chicken… it was stuffed with so much meat, its really awesome. if you’re into meat stuffed sandwiches. the hollowed out the middle of a french bread and then stuffed so much meat inside. we also had the club sandwich, but it doesn’t come toasted so you need to ask for toasted if you want anything on a sliced bread. my cousins favorite is their bbq chicken. its well seasoned, well cooked… and its fall off the bone awesome. buy some sauce also. if you don’t have any at your local grocery store.

After my last review with Kinder’s. I’ve had the pleasure of hearing from the Kinder’s team and how they could resolve their mistake and keep my business. I received a message within an hour of posting my last review and was refunded the difference. Kinder’s has always had 5star food, especially the Famous Ball Tip Sandwich and Bacon Mac’n Cheese(yummy ^_^). I feel confident I’ll be able to receive a positive customer experience going forward.

Positives — friendly and courteous staff, plenty of parking & the lines move fast Negatives — Overpriced for what you get, the food is okay but the French fries aren’t very good

This place is pretty good but the service is really really slow! I enjoy their sauces but I will say their hot bbq sauce is barley hot so I would go with the extra hot. Oh my gosh my favorite this is their sweet potato fries, they serve them with the most delicious sauce. Huge portions too. There is the option of sandwiches, salads, sides, and bbq. There is something here for everyone. Plenty of tables if you don’t want to take the dish to go and want to enjoy it there. This location is a little odd but no big deal!

I love this place. Service is on point. Fast, Friendly, and not like most BBQ joints Clean. Ever time you order something the server always says his or her name then says«I’m just going to wash my hands, and start preparing your food.» I’m happy to know that they have their cleanliness on POINT. They have a sink right in front of the food making area, so when they say their just going to wash their hands they prove it to you. Meat is cooked to perfection. Their Mac and cheese is to good that every time I order it I never finish it because I want to slowly melt the flavors in.(it might be because of the bacon that’s in the Mac and cheese) So they have a reward system going on as well. After coming in 15 times you get a free one on them. If I had more time and space in my stomach I’d go here 6⁄7 days a week. Keep up the good work Kinder’s and staff.

I thought that I would try Kinder’s again so I stopped here on the weekend to grab a ball tip sandwich for the road. After waiting ten minutes, though there was no one in line or in front of me, someone finally decided to take my order. I got the ball tip and it was just basically a roast beef sandwich. The meat was taken out of the refrigerator and didn’t have that much flavor and it wasn’t clear how long it had been wrapped up.

One of the east bay’s most popular BBQ joints. They cater. They do events and they continue to grow. From a son and pop shop that was in San Pablo to now a fast-growing company that is thriving in the Bay Area. This was my first experience In this location and boy was it packed. Thankfully they worked quickly and I got my food in no time. The lady who helped me out was very lively and sweet and when I asked how the fries were she went to the back and got me one to try! Food was solid and they had great fries too! I only wish my ball tip came a little warmer. But the hot sauce was good! Sorry about not taking a picture of my sandwich. I was really hungry. Also the price wasn’t too bad either. Normally in SF I’ve paid even more just to get a slab of meat. I do love that you can also see all the celebs that have come thru and had some kinders. If you love the BBQ sauce you can just buy them by the bottle there. In addition to meats they have a few other little side dishes that they do. It’s a deli and a BBQ joint and I did hear someone who did a phone order so if you’re on the go make a call and they should have it ready by the time you come in!

Visiting family in the Bay Area and took me for a late lunch here. Omg, what a frickin treat. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly… I can eat the roll all day long. Chewy and fresh. All just perfect. Now I’m jealous that this place is only up here and not in Los Angeles. :( A must to try if you are in the Bay Area… Concord to be exact.

Kinder’s has been down the road from my house so long and I can’t believe I haven’t been here until recently. I’ve known about the sauce they sell at Costco and have thought they were absolutely amazing until I came here and tried their sandwiches WITH the sauces. Now I’ve been here a couple times and keep coming back. I love their tequila lime fries – crispy and flavorful, plus they give you a dipping sauce that is a mix of their BBQ sauce and other stuff that’s just amazing. Sandwiches: I tried a couple of them. The famous ball tip is something you must try since it has meat and veggies. I tried the BBQ beef and it was just meat stuffed inside a roll, and that was it. It was delicious, but was lacking other stuff. However, one thing you must get if you can is the Friday special — Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich. This is by far my favorite because the steak is so tender and you get a good amount of it too. It has a nice char grilled flavor and it has lettuce and tomatoes on their soft sourdough roll. Put some extra BBQ sauce on it and you are good to go. Also try the jalapaeno onion garlic butter. Tastes great with the sandwich as it gives it a little kick of heat and other delicious flavor. This location is great: huge parking lot, lots of sitting space. Sometimes it gets hectic and the tables are dirty, but there is plenty of space inside this store. The workers there are super nice too!
