My wife and I have been going here for yearly checkups since 2007. We also get our glasses and contact lenses here. Service and value are excellent and we thoroughly feel that Drs. Lacey and Ruzicka provide the best eye care. Everybody is friendly and understanding. We would not consider any other office for our vision needs.

I have been going to this office for the past 5 to 6 years (every 1.5 to 2 years). The exams are thorough and staff has always been kind to me. I even had to go take my (then) one year old in and there was a little kiddie area for her as well as books and toys to keep her busy.
My only wish is that they had more affordable glasses under $ 200 (before insurance), because the first time I went I did have to come out of pocket more than expected. I had and still have VSP insurance, which they bill upfront.
I have an appointment this morning, so it will be nice to see what they have available.

I just switched from another optometrist and I have to say I feel that I am getting a more thorough eye exam here. Everyone here was cheerful and helpful too.
My last optometrist never billed me correctly and would cost me over $ 300 per visit even though I have really good insurance. I switched to Dr Ruzicka and paid less than $ 60 out the door for anti glare and scratch resistance coating on my new glasses!
Will I be back? Heck yeah!

I’ve been coming to this office ever since Dr. Laura and her husband took over the business from my childhood optometrist, Dr. Heaton.
There’s no one else I will trust my eyecare to. I’ve had 3 radial keratotamy and Lasik procedures and Dr. Laura has guided me through all of them, making sure that the overall health of my eyes is of primary concern.
Now that I’m older and starting to need reading glasses (geez! never thought I’d be one of «those» people…) I’m confident that my aging eyes will always receive top notch care.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Laura yesterday. I recently moved to the area and she came up on my list of included doctors on my insurance company website.
When I arrived, the lady who gave me my paperwork and initial tests was really sweet, knew her stuff and made me feel really comfortable. She was quick and patient with me in explaining all the pre-​tests with me. The office is the perfect size, organized and neat. They had a ton of brands available for frames, which I’ll be checking out in January when my new frames benefits become available.
Dr. Laura was really nice, she was also patient in listening to all my annoying allergy questions and corny jokes… I actually think she thought I was hilarious. Maybe? lol She explained all my test results and answered all of my questions professionally.
I’m glad I found an easy optometrist close to home.

My daughter was seen here for a check up.
Easy to make an appt, they have a great kids area that definitely kept my daughter entertained. We didn’t have to wait long to be seen or for the doc to come in.
He did his thing and he explained to me exactly what he saw. And what his thoughts were. Our last Doctor didn’t do that at all. I didn’t know half
Of what was going on until I came here. He was nice and very good with my 2.5 yr old.

My sister referred me to their office and warned me that the outside of the building is a little worn– and she was right. But I went in anyway, and found their office– signage could be better and a little more up-​to-​date. The office was very nice inside though– the staff at the front desk were helpful. I saw Dr. Ruzicka and he was very nice. The lady that helped pull glasses was great, super nice and patient. My glasses were done within 4 days! When I returned to pick them up, another nice team member assisted me and I left happy with my new pair of glasses.

Sold me an alternative exam process that eliminated necessity to have pupils dialated. I was told that the image was portable and could be transferred. When I asked for the image to be transferred to my MD, they absolutely refused. Based on that image, Dr. R had told me I had diabetic damage, but later claimed he said no such thing.
I did not imagine this. Needless to say I will never return. I had been a regular customer, bringing both my children and grandkids in every year for exams and glasses. Well, my business and money have long since gone elsewhere.

Sorry all you 5 star people out there, but I had a totally different experience. I found Laura to be impersonal, impatient, and arrogant. She criticized my old contacts, and the first pair she prescribed were completely off the mark. And the more questions I asked, the more impatient she became. I’m still unclear about of few things she did, but I’ll never know, because she doesn’t like to answer questions. I thought perhaps she was having a bad day, but when I went back for a re-​check, no difference. This office also tries to hard sell you to purchase the contacts and glasses at their place, but don’t do it. You can do better elsewhere. There are dozens of good optometrists within a 5-​mile radius of this place. Take your business elsewhere. I won’t be back.

Wonderful office! We were able to get an appointment for Christmas Eve and they truly made the whole process painless. They offered the option of either eye dilation or the optomap which was nice to even have been asked. Most just do whatever then tell you in order to open the opotmap it will be x amount of dollars. Very helpful when it came to picking out new frames and they also had my insurance right in front of them so they knew what we had to work with as far as insurance goes. I loved that they work directly with VSP, I walked out of there not feeling like I had to pay with an arm and a leg! I was fully prepared to spend hundreds of dollars like I have with other eye doctors.

I loved these two. They were both so friendly and polite. I never had to wait. The office staff is friendly. These will be my eye doctors for life.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lacy and her wonderful staff. They always go the extra mile to make sure everything is right and more importantly, stays right. Their customer service is second to none. They know the insurance game better than I ‘ve seen in any doctors office. Would recommend them to anyone.

This place was incredible and really made the whole process easy from start to finish. They were very accommodating for me with my 1 year old child crawling around. He got to play with their toys they have their for kids. Helped me get an appointment, get seen pretty fast, and then find a great pair of frames without pressuring me to get the expensive ones like other places do. I really appreciate the help they gave me.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ruzicka’s for 15 (yes, 15!) years and I highly recommend his office.
I have several parties going on in my eyeballs, some righteous farsightedness, a little bit of astigmatism and some lazy eye action. While it’s all fun and games when I’m sleeping, I need to function when my eyes are open and this office has done wonders for that!
I’ve tried several eye doctors over the years, from random finds in the strip mall, to the optometrist at Kaiser and could never quite find my match. Then, one day I decided to see who my insurance partnered with, and this place was top of the list. It didn’t hurt that they were about 5 minutes from my house, either.
The one time I had an issue was when my prescription was changed, and I tried to weather the storm. For whatever reason it was off (probably because I don’t do well on the «1 or 2» test), and I just couldn’t adjust, so I went back to my favorite glasses with the ‘old’ prescription. I also went and got a quickie back up pair at another place because I was going out of state and they REALLY jacked up the prescription!
Fast forward 3 years and I’m back… and my prescription is more like the old, and they don’t make my favorite frames anymore, which is a bummer because these are nearing the end of their life cycle!
So, long story short, I was reminded that I just have to go in and they will fix whatever is wrong, and I’m getting two new pairs of glasses! My favorite brand is prodesign, but they have a ton of other fashion forward brands.
Also, they have taken great care of my 11 year old daughter, who is getting her first pair of glasses, too! She’s super excited and a little disappointed that they’re only «sometimes» glasses.
Thank you Dr. Ruzicka and staff for making my less than regular eye visits a pleasure and for helping me come to love wearing glasses!

I come here for annual check up Stuff are always friendly and do best for you. I had a pair of glasses which was made from different doctor. The flame was broken but it’s one of the best glasses and I wanted save them. Took them several places but nobody could fix them. I asked one of stuff (Janet) if it’s possible to fix them. She came up very creative idea and saved my favorite lenses.

I love Dr Lacey. She is very reputable and down to earth. She is fairly easy to get into and her appointments are efficient and time effective.
I would agree with another post regarding the staff. They seem very angry and unhappy in their position. One example was 1 week prior to my wedding I ran out of contacts (this was my fault as I was swamped with other things). My prescription would not get in soon enough and I certainly did not want to wear glasses on my big day. I went to the office and simply asked for ONE disposable contact because they always have an ample supply of samples for patients. I was given ONE begrudgingly and only because I explained it was for my dang wedding. It took almost an hour to get this sample and it only came after a very long lecture. Yes, again, this was my fault. However you would expect a little more courtesy to a long time patient.

When looking for new glasses I explained to places that I just want to try them on since I get a deal through my work. Everyone acted like I had cancer and wouldn’t help me. However, I only get a deal on frames, not the lenses. So everyone but this place wouldn’t help me. They helped me to all ends, the eye check, ordering me frames to try on and getting me the prescription lenses. And they did it all with a smile and I completely appreciated their service. I found my new Optometrist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lacey and Dr. Ruzicka for many years and always enjoy the professionalism and family friendly atmosphere in the office. Many times I bring my children and they are always welcome to play or come and join me during the eye exam.
I have ordered both contacts and eye glasses and have had quick service. My last pair of glasses took me almost an hour to pick out the frames and they were extremely patient the entire time. Thank you!
