The Free Comedy Show at the Bowling Alley is Spectacular! It is the first Wednesday of the Month at Clayton Valley Bowl. This however is just the tip of the iceberg for Mires Like Fires Productions! There are also shows at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek and Dan Mires Performs almost nightly all over the Bay Area and beyond!

We decided a bowling night was in order and headed over to Clayton Valley Bowl– It was Wednesday and not realizing it there is a free comedy show that Mires Like Fires Productions puts on the first Wednesday of the month and it was the same night! We bowled a couple rounds and then headed over to the bar where the comedy show is actually held. Stiff drinks and good prices– I ordered a chicken sandwich from the bowling alley and it was actually quite good. A plain grilled chicken breast with lettuce tomato and onions on a hamburger bun with mayo. Not bad at all. The comedy show was great! Dan Mires hosts the event and did a great job organizing the night. We happened to go on a special«all headliners» night where they brought back favorite comedians from prior shows. I must say I was not expecting much but It was probably one of the top 2 comedy shows I’ve ever been to and It was free! I think there were 5 comedians and the show lasted about 2 hours? I can’t remember exactly but I will certainly be back!

This show is great because it’s reliable on being funny. It’s also free which is refreshing. The bar staff are excellent pourers, if you know what i mean, and the vibe there is laid back and ready to laugh. It’s a fun time. Mireslikefires always puts on a good show. One bad side is that sometimes the locals that are inevitably there in the back talk and banter really loudly and it takes away from the comics sets. That gets annoying!

So I was talking to my Mom on the phone yesterday… no wait, haha. Dan Mires of Mires like Fires Productions is awesome. Went to his first-Wednesday-of-the-month comedy show at Clayton Valley Bowl. Actually I’ve been to all four of them so far. Fantastic lineup, hilarious comedy, and best part: it is a free show! Can’t beat that. I hope he continues to be successful and I can count on attending these shows forever. I’ve seen Dan preform at different venues around the Bay Area and he’s always a hit. First I thought he was a pyromanic but then realized, he’s merely giving us a catchy way to remember his name. Highly recommended!
