Chad & Michael, They just started a new program where if that store doesn’t have your size then they will find it for you and ship it to you for free. Pretty exciting for me since I wear a size 11 for women. Just thought you might want to know!

I am not much of a shopper, much less a shoe shopper. I think there are shoes in my closet that I owned — and probably wore — in high school. But for that time where the thrift store will not do, there is Off Broadway. This is a fairly nice location, with a ton of shoes on display, but that could be because their shoes are all out front. As my man Michael has mentioned, they do not have a «back room», where they keep extras on hand, like many other shoe stores. If you do not see it, you will not get it, so you should keep your fingers crossed. There is also often a greeter of sorts out front. If I had to guess, it would be that she has the job only for a discount on shoes, and memorized the«welcome to Off Broadway Shoes» spiel in order to pull in an employee discount. Even a few seconds later, she has no idea that she has already seen you, and seems to have no clue where anything can be found in the store. You could ask«where can I find shoes», and she may have a hard time pointing you in the right direction.

So, as discounted shoe stores go, I do like OBS. They have a WIDE selection mens and womens shoes and constantly have sales. Add in the discount feature they have after you make your purchase and it makes it worth your while to return. OBS provides a dollar credit on your receipt that you can use on your next purchase which is very cool. It doesn’t have an expiration date and the savings can run any where from $ 5 to $ 15 depending upon how much you buy… not bad in this economy. This location at Concord Mills has a standard set up as does another location off of South Blvd. The only thing I would note, as least for men’s shoes, is that their stock is what you see in front of you. They don’t have additional stock in the back… what you see is what you get.
