Wow. I didn’t think it was possible to be this slow, so slow that I thought I’d pull up Unilocal and see what others say. …should have done that first. I eventually started a timer for certain things… still going as we sit here. 23 min since my wife ordered a second martini and I asked for more water. The 1st martini was good, btw, but seriously. We’ve been here 80 minutes with no entrees. Water took over 20 to first arrive, bread, well that was another 20 only after we asked. We won’t be returning.

Orchietta is on the menu. Prepared in a traditional way with sausage, olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Only it wasn’t orchietta, it was penne from a box.

Very polite. Very, very slow. Substandard fare for the price. Plenty of examples in these reviews, I should have read them before trying.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our lunch here last week when we stopped on our way home to NY. We were the only diners since it was around 2pm, so it was very quiet. The service was very slow, oddly enough, but then the owner told us that he was basically doing all the front and back of house work by himself. He was very friendly and polite and served us some really tasty food, so in the long run we were OK with the delay. We ordered an amazing bruschetta appetizer, and I ordered the Nina sandwich special, which was basically feta, tomatoes, basil, and olive oil on pain rustica. It was delicious! If we lived in Concord we’d return.

Good people and service. The food is fine but too pricey for what you get. Two of four seafood dishes were unavailable. I had veal marsala and guest had salmon with tzaziki like sauce. Both veal and salmon were a bit overcooked. They had no asparagus to go with the salmon so green beans were subsititued, without a heads up from waiter. The pasta with the marsala was cooked perfectly but pretty sure it was dried, not fresh. Fine, felt I paid too much.

The food was fine though the choices felt limited. Given the really cold weather I would have thought they’d have more hot soups, etc. Service was very slow with only one waiter. No napkins on the table, he didn’t notice. When we asked for some, we were given paper napkins though all the tables had cloth. It took us 1.5 hours to have lunch. I wouldn’t return.

relatively limited and pricey menu… no substitutions(can’t eat pasta, want rice? nope) cheese and olive plate as app. $ 12.00. adequate cheese, but 8 olives? …hmmm. I ordered pasta with mussels, clams, shrimp. came on a big plate, looked like a lot. however the pasta covered a mound of onions(so may that when I left most on my plate the waitress remarked at how much onion was in the dish), and the dish was over salted. 2 of 3 mussels had a very«off» taste(old?), there were 2 tiny clams and 3 shrimp. a $ 20 dish that could be had elsewhere for much less. companion had sausages which she said she could have had the same at home. her side was chopped tomatoes, etc. it took a very long time for the kitchen to produce the food. and… there was no one else there! both dishes, the app. 2 glasses of wine and tip came to $ 84, not a terrible amount if the food and service good, but overpriced for quality of food! want good Italian? go to Angelina’s. about the same price, much, much better food. or walk up the street to the barley house. great burgers, good specials, and a varied menu.

Terrible service. We were asked to leave by the owner because because the owner said she felt our party of 5 didn’t spend enough money on food, told us we were wasting her time and space for when she could be making money. Our drink tab alone was almost $ 40 for the first round, and we had ordered over $ 100 in food for the first meals. She said she was«very disappointed for the reservation and waste of space». The owner asked us to pay our drink tabs and leave; all of this took place after we had placed our order and waited an hour for our food. Definitely don’t go here. The wait staff was so embarrassed, we all felt terrible for them.

We stayed away from Olé Europe for a while after the last disappointment. But over the summer we dediced to give it another try. And we were so pleased and relieved that the food was good again. I think I had one bad dish — the shrimp with bow-tie pasta — and that experience was an anomoly. This time I had the special, which was a grilled skirt steak served medium with just salt, pepper and really good olive oil. It was really delicious. And my husband had a red snapper dish that was also outstanding. Their papperdelle is fresh and so delicious, it melts in your mouth. I’ve had it served with both the bolognese and a chicken piccata with artichokes and capers in a buttery lemon sauce. My only gripe is that its kind of pricey. But the food is really excellent.

I think it’s illegal to charge more than what the menu says, but this restaurant doesn’t have a problem with it. It took a half hour to sort out the bill; they finally agreed to charge the menu price only after their disgust was made very clear. The Mediterranean food in Detroit is much better. Don’t go. You’ll regret it.

This was an experience I look forward to again and again. The evening started with a very welcoming staff, continued with an amazing meal, a quality i have not found in the Concord area. Each dish was prepared with great care and well was just perfect. Fine Dining is an experience that you do not get at chain restaurants. I was thrilled to find this hidden treasure.

Tapas & house sangria were fantastic! This is the kind of restaurant this city needs!

I have only been to this restaurant for lunchtime tapas(full menu is not available until dinner time), but felt compelled to write a review given that the only other review is an obnoxious rant by someone who has never eaten here. I lived in Concord, NH for a year and am a huge fan of Bistro Rustica, the neighboring restaurant that has the same owners as Old Europe. I ate at Bistro Rustica multiple times every week that year(2009 – 2010) and anxiously awaited the opening of Old Europe, but it didn’t open until after I left. I was thrilled to get a chance to try it when I was passing through Concord recently, and loved the tapas. I can’t wait to come back for the full dinner menu!

Nice atmosphere. Our meals were great. Decent sized portions. Service was excellent although our waiter was a bit of an oddball. On the pricier side: wine, 2 meals and dessert around $ 100.

Let me start off by saying I refuse to even eat at this restaurant. Here’s why… They have had their sign up and tacky fake plants in the window for probably a year now and finally opened sometime in the past couple of weeks, I just happened to notice people in their last night. I’m obsessed with food(specifically Italian) so I was thinking of going there for dinner tonight — try google to find a telephone # and NOTHING comes up. They have been in the process of trying to open for this long and haven’t gotten a website up or even made sure that their information is on-line? Honestly this doesn’t surprise me, this entire city is at least 10 years behind the rest of the country and over half of the businesses don’t have websites. Anyway, since I can’t find a telephone # I walk over there to see if they have one on the door, negative — but I do find a menu, the deal breaker. It’s like an Italian-American menu from again, 10 years ago. Chicken Piccata, Marsala, and Grilled Chicken are their only chicken dishes and they’re ALL $ 20.00!!! REALLY?! Are they hunting and killing their own chickens? I doubt it. Veal for $ 33.00??? in CONCORD, NH — hahaha. My solution — go to Angelina’s, right around the corner, great menu, food always tastes great, and no tacky fake plants or diner booths, and the best part — all of their items are fairly priced. and they have the nerve to call it a «fine dining» restaurant”…HA.
