Went to Raffaele’s today. A first time customer. It was well worth it and I will be going back. The experience was head and shoulders(get it?) above any other similar establishment in the area. Here you get a real haircut with attention to detail and service, not the usual«which number clipper do you want?» nonsense you get from the rent-a-chair barber shops I’ve been to. Thanks Raffaele. mj

Raffaele is the best barber in the Greater Boston area. Period. I am Italian and very picky about my hair! His barber shop is also lovely, spacious and full of natural light, right in historical Concord center. Worth the drive, wherever you are coming from.

Old school barber. Really excellent cut each time. Plus, he is super nice and deals well with little kids.

I’ve finally found a barbershop I like, after living here for two years. Raffaele is great. Looking forward to my next visit.

Raffael is the owner of a fantastic one man barbershop near Main Street in Concord, MA… It’s not like the generic USA barbershop of old, where every male leaves with the same haircut. No, it’s quite the opposite. It’s infused with an Italian style, quality and authenticity that provides a salon haircut at barbershop prices and small town friendliness. Raffael is one of a kind — he will be remembered by me as Albert Einstein as an Italian barber — He is a learned and superb conversationalist with great taste in music and exceeding politeness. I wish there were more places like this. Everyone should check it out… as long as you have hair anyway.

Rafaelle is a true gentleman. Great haircuts, great music, and if you like soccer, of futbol as they call it in Italy, he is very knowledgeable and up to date.

Raffael has been cutting my hair and my son’s for 10 years since he took over from Dave. Always good music on– and he takes his time to make sure it is done correctly. Excellent price– and fun to talk about Italy or music. A real treat is when he gets in the groove and hums along with the opera. Best cut around for a great price– small town at its best in terms of business. No reservations– and on occasions I have shown up and found the shop with 8 people. A rule of thumb is 12 minutes per cut– maybe a bit more– so if there are four people ahead of you figure about 50 minutes to one hour. However he has free wifi and a trillion new and old magazines, Boston Globe– so it you like Opera and want to read or work on your lap top the wait is not so bad!

Raffaele is one of the best barbers I have ever had. After moving to Acton two years ago, I was on the hunt for a new barber who I could trust my head to. Raffaele pays close attention to detail, always has something interesting to that about and plays some of the best classical music. Why pay $ 45+ dollars at State Street Barbers in Boston, when in Concord we have the very best!

Raffaele is great. As he cuts your hair he’ll talk with you and sing along to his opera. Decent price for a good haircut.

This is a one-man operation, an old-school Italian barber. Raffaele’s a good guy, fun to talk to, and skilled at his craft. If you want to talk Boston sports, down the street’s a better option, but if you want to talk about Italy, or listen to classical music or NPR in the background, Raffaele’s the one. He’s also great with kids’ hair. If it’s a peak time, you might want to call ahead, or be prepared to wait. It’s binge and purge; when I go, either the line’s out the door, or Raffaele’s twiddling his thumbs.

Small town business at its finest. Raffaele’s clearly been there for a while, and he cuts hair like a champ. Very skilled with a pair of scissors, and very thorough in his work… no hair was out of line. You can tell he’s been in the business for a long time, so he’s someone you can trust. Plus he’s straight out of Italy, which makes him that much more legit.

This is a great barber shop! I always make it a point to come here when I am back home in Concord. Raffaele is not only kind, friendly and a good conversationalist, but he cuts great hair. This place has an old-fashioned barber shop feel. It is not a «chop-shop» barber shop; Rafaelle takes his time and uses scissors(very little electric clipper) and has some serious skills. Great value for less than $ 20!
