Stopped by today during lunch for a Carne Asada Burrito, and what a disappointment, I asked for no pico de gallo, but told the cashier I wanted avocado, I ordered to go, to my surprise when I got to my place, burrito was only rice, beans, meat, and cheese. First bite into the burrito and oil kept spilling out, very oily, smelled like old oil too. Yuck, it was my first and only bite, threw the rest away. I do have to say that their molcajete salsa is really good, I only ate the chips and salsa. What a waste of money today.

I was ignored even after the lady making eye contact with me. I also overheard her talking to her co worker about the gringo being made to wait and how funny it is I speak Spanish dumbass. I will never go back there are plenty of other places in concord that has good Mexican food. I will let my fellow über drivers know not to eat there as well.

I came here at the beginning of the year, not long after they opened. I remember how excited I was the first time I drove by and saw that a new taqueria had moved to Monument. My favorite thing about living near Monument are all the great taco spots. That visit in April was the only time I’ve been here. I ordered a couple of $ 1 chicken tacos and ate them by myself with some chips and salsa. I remember thinking that the floor could use a good scrub. The big bowl of salsa was my favorite part of the meal. Service was friendly, but I just have too many places I like more than this one nearby to see myself returning.

Best tacos al pastor I have had in the Bay Area by far and I have tried lots of taco in all areas. The owner is really nice and friendly. Can’t forget he is a great cook as well. They have $ 1 tacos every Tuesday and Wednesday. I would highly recommend this places to anyone!!!

Eating tacos here right now. We’re all wondering if we’re going to have food poisoning. We’ve left the chicken as it smells off. I wouldn’t risk this place again regardless of what happens later today. I’ll be calling the Public Health Service of we’re I’ll…

DISGUSTINGDISGUSTING! I think the people writing the reviews for this place are friends or family or the actual workers! Me and my co worker came here today on an empty stomach and saw the 4 stars and we immediately made the decision to come here. The minute we come in we see on our left the sauce tray all open and close to the opened door. On the cash register site, stacks of tortilla chips on top of each other with the chip holder resting on top of each one(how unsanitary is that). We see a girl on the right sitting down on her phone walk to the register, we order two burritos and pay a hefty ass price of $ 17 and some cjange. I walk to the bathroom real quick to wash my hands and come back and the food was already ready. THAT’S NEVER A GOODSIGN. My coworker on his phone whispers and tells me that as he came to get salsa he picked up the spoon in the salsa and fruit flies came out of the spoon. The tortilla chip i didnt even dare try. The burrito was plain and the chicken and my co workers carnitas tasted stale and old. The worst part came after this meal. Our bodies knew this burrito was not the business as we spent half the day gorging the food out. So gross. Never again.

Taqueria Los Cachanillas isn’t all mexican eats. there’s a dessert counter next to the main counter. drink: mangoniada(4) –under misimpresion it had mangos, nada. just syrup with some spicnicess and tamarind coated drinking straw, lots of ice not a good value, 2.5 stars drips: –not sure did i make a mistake? name similar to mangonada, mango dessert –ice cream $ 3+ scoop –desserts pricey here? –quick, friendly service… food probably better value here, taco tuesdays(1).

Friendly service. Takes credit card. Open late 2am. I ordered a pollo asada super burrito and got carne asada. Without beans or pico de gallo by request, the burrito was very dry. Typically on a super, you want to up the guacamole and sour cream to counteract the dry rice. And the rice was dry… it was a typical lard red Mexican rice… I’m on the lookout for the cilantro lime rice that has become so popular for good reason. Not only is the modern rice prep bright versus dull but also refreshing and juicy rather than dry. The salsa bar gets a star added to the review although I wasn’t able to try it, I do like to see homemade salsa offered at a taqueria. There are so many taqueria’s on Monument that you really have to create a niche to survive. It looks like the niche might be their $ 1 taco nights or the Sunday brunch.

My boyfriend loves the seafood soup here. I love the orange carrot juice mix, it’s so refreshing. However, I am not a fan of the burritos. It still had tomatoes in it after I had requested no tomatoes. I would recommend the enchiladas here, they were really delicious!

WOW! $ 1 tacos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Noticed the $ 1 taco sign as I was having my car washed next door. Thought for a buck just how bad could they be? Actually, they were pretty darn good. Authentic Mexican food made by authentic Mexicans in an authentically Mexican style Taqueria at a reasonable price.

Used them for catering.. .ordered beef and chicken fajitas, rice and beans. They were fresh, hot and ready when promised. I was able to feed 18 people for $ 160, very inexpensive for great food that tastes like mom’s cooking!

I decided to come here reading the reviews previously given and I do in fact, love it here! Very homely and family-oriented and Laura, the clerk, that took our orders was very friendly, helpful and patient as well. The cooks are friendly, accommodating and just great! The food is BOMB, portions are nice and are all at reasonable prices! Nice lil spot to come by to get your Mexican grub on…

Ordered the carne asada super burrito for lunch. The place has an authentic family style atmosphere and the ladies behind the counter were very friendly. No surprise, I was the only white guy in there. Burrito stats(out of 5): Heft — 3 Structural integrity — 5 Meat and guac to rice and beans ratio — 3 Flavor — 4 Overall a solid burrito but judging by what other people were ordering, the thing to get here is tacos.

Just had 4 heaping spicy pork tacos for $ 4 plus tax, total. Can’t be beaten! But really, what sets this place apart for me is the atmosphere. It feels like a family café in some rural Mexican village. Super nice people, authentic art on the walls and self-serve salsa in an stone bowl that looks like it came out of an Aztec temple museum. And the traditional recorded Mexican music they play is so sweet you feel like you’ve been teleported to old Mexico. I’ll be back every Tuesday ;) Only downside, no horchata to sip while you eat.
