I really don’t understand some of these harsh reviews, I work at the mall and have eaten here nearly everyday. As far as the food not being fresh is concerned, nothing could be farther from the truth. They literally grill and make everything right in front of you when you order, the service is always very personable and pleasant, and the food(particularly the steak burrito with hot salsa) is consistently delicious. Now, I can’t even go 3 hours into my shift without a craving for this place setting in. Highly recommend, definitely worth a shot.

I got the chicken and carnitas tacos. The bf ordered the fajitas. The tacos we’re a-okay. They toasted flour tortillas and added cheese – uhh, bad cheddar cheese. And then they topped it up with sour cream and guac. Not that I mind the sour cream and guac, but toasting my soft tacos with cheese? NO! Not Mexican… I came here for Mexican food! The fajitas were AMAZING though! The spice… yum! My mouth is watering as I type this review. The only reason why I didnt increase the stars was because the rice tasted under cook. And, they were COLD! And, the beans? Reminded me of cafeteria food from my elementary school days. nasty! Service was not bad. The guy who actually cooks, not the lady who runs the cashier, is pretty nice. He gave us extra salsa without charging us. There’s no self-service here, so you’ll have to go back every time and ask for extra helpings =/ Overall, I’ve had better. Try a different place.

Their super quesadilla was delish, super cheesy & chicken filled w/guacamole & sour cream. The employees are nice & the food is fresh. I’d definitely come again: D

Stopped by there for the first time today. Since I recently moved to P.H. from«little Mexico» I was afraid I wouldn’t find a good Mexican place. But, I was surprised and happy with the food at this place. It seems to be run by two older Mexican women who work the register and work behind the grill. I ordered the RBC burrito(rice, beans, and cheese) and really enjoyed it. The food was like home made and very fresh tasting. Two large burritos and 2 large horchatas cost us $ 19. I did have to knock off one start because the chips and salsa are not gratis(free).

On my way to kiteboard we stopped at the mall for a bite to eat. I was craving Nachos. So I asked for steak nachos with guacamole. She said it would be an extra $ 1.75 for gauc and $ 1.75 for steak!!! What!!! That is $ 8.03 for a small nachos, I said fine thinking that they would be worth it. She told me the usually use cheese sauce, where in Mexico do they use cheese sauce, this place said Mexican — The Whole Enchilada. She told me they could use cheese, I said yes please, but it wasn’t the normal Queso you would expect instead it was prepackaged cheddar and jack. They pulled out some round prepackaged corn tortilla chips, the kind you buy at the store, not fresh made, not even homemade. They tossed on some cheese, melted it in the microwave and put 2 oz of guac on it and some freshly cooked steak. Guac was sour, steak was bland, cheese wasn’t melted all the way so it was sord of hard. Also the cash registered told her to give me $ 11.97 change back and she only gave me $ 11.57, then she realized she charged me for a quesadilla instead of nachos which was more and then gave me back .30 cents. So a warning, not only do they not charge you properly, they don’t give you back the proper change. The food was horrible, over-priced, and service was bad. Would never eat here again!

I found this spot a pleasant surprise. With out a plate of chips and salsa as a distraction I could watch the cook. The meal was fresh; I saw the meat being put on the grill. The soft beef taco had cilantro and salsa which made up for the rather bland meat, that, thankfully, wasn’t over cooked. The cheese enchilada was good and the sour cream and cilantro it was a great addition. More importantly they were the only restaurant at the mall at 8:40 p.m. that was willing to prepare a freshly cooked meal, at the others I could not even get any one to ask me what I wanted.

Food was expensive, everything will cost you! disgusting food, the salsa was almost bad, or used old tomatoes, I believe the owners are not even mexican. Not sure if they would know the true taste of a MExican dish. This place gives Mexican food a bad name!!! I will never go there again!

Don’t be deceived. The aroma is amazing. The food was the most disgusting thing on the planet. I asked for grilled chicken. It tasted like it came from a can. They used velveta watered down cheese over my nachos. I ate there once-okay. Ate there a 2nd time with hope and shame on me. Don’t waste your money.

I was planning on going to my 1st place I reviewed, since today was my One year Anniversary being with the Unilocal Community. I also was feeling Nostalgic and was planning getting some sort of Sweets from a Bakery to celebrate. The weather was really bad today, and I am also getting over the flu. I figured I can do the whole celebration when I write my 100th review. However, I did manage to go to the Mall and get a quick bite at this place. I ordered a Rice, Cheese, and Bean Burrito. It was okay but I probably won’t go back because with drink, the total was $ 7.42. I could have made the Burrito at home for ½ the price. I love Mexican food, but this place was not worth the price of admission. I just had T-Bell yesterday,. and it surpassed this lunch. :(

Like the first reviewer I love fish tacos. Some times they can be a bit salty but hey they are fish tacos after all! The burritos are good and I like picking some up for my employees as they find them tasty as well. They do catering as well and I have used their services as a reward for accounts that send me business. This always results in more business.

Absolutely revolting. This wins the most disgusting Mexican food in the world award. It’s in a crappy mall food court so I should know better, but in my hunger-induced dizziness I was drawn to their«taco, enchilada, beans, rice, and soda for $ 5.25» special. I almost threw up in my mouth. Meat was dry, salsa was pureed fake tomatoes, the rice was Uncle Ben’s in chicken broth and diced bell peppers. No me gusta… no me gusta ATALL!

We luv fish tacos and when we found this place on the lower level of the Sun Valley Mall late last year, we were elated and this place does not disappoint. For $ 6.99, you get three soft fish tacos, rice, avocado, salad and beans. They cook everything to order so the fish was fresh and wow, so yummy. Upon request, they will give you a special hot sauce for your tacos. The cook and staff are super friendly and when we need a fast, good bite of food, this is where we come. Of course there are other dishes to try as this is not mainly a fish taco joint. Forget those high priced and bland tacos at fancy restaurants. This has been thus far the best for fish tacos. I’ll have to review Rubio’s next which will be opening soon in PH at the Kohl’s center.
