This store is cute and everything, but honestly it kinds of feels like the people who work there don’t really like, or do much cooking. If I ask about one of their bread machines, no one has used it before or knows how to use it or how it’s been reviewed. If I ask for pastry making tools, like cake wrap for layered mousse cakes, they don’t even know what that is(in fact, they ask ME if I know what I’m talking about.) It’s nice that it’s so packed with variety I guess, but no one ever knows where anything specifically is when I’m asking them, and it seems like it’s not very thoughtfully curated by whoever is ordering everything(some things are obviously the«good» brand of things, while others seem like they came from the Oriental Trading Company catalog.) Seems like it’s designed just for browsing and impulse-buying of Le Creuset teacups rather than to service people at home actually experimenting with and(trying to!) make creative food on the reg for their families. Which is fine for what it is, but I would love to have something more thoughtful, reliable and sophisticated nearby.

I agree with the previous poster. Great store with upscale, unique goods with down home service and knowledge.

Wonderful people and absolutely packed with kitchen goodies. Many much larger burgs than concord would just die to get a store as fun to shop at as Things Are Cooking.
