I give two stars for having fun with friends and running into people from back in the day. Other than that, watch out for the white UGLY rent a cop/security guy. Looks like a Russian that was dropped on his face as a chid, with little man syndrome. He is a rude, piece of shit. He is probably a woman beater. This guy is so rude to the women but wont mess with the big guys. Some of the bartenders need to get bitch slapped a few times. Some are just rude, dumb and try to be fly. They don’t call them dumb blondes for nothing. If you dont want drama, don’t go to this bar, it is between white trash vs ghetto. Viinies is right down the street. Better crowd, better service, no drama. Just a good time.

This place will be missed! Sorry to see you go… we loved playing shows here. This will change the entire dynamic for local bands near Concord. Hope something good comes here in it’s place!

Looooovve Time Out! We go on karaōke night(Tues) and always have soo much fun! Dj Joey G is my herrrro! Tracie is awesome… the crowd is chill. Drinks are good and pretty inexpensive. The outdoor patio is pretty awesome and late night food is around the corner. Can’t really go wrong!

I came here this past Saturday night with 3 of my friends. The place was far from busy or exciting and only had a handful of people. We came here because we wanted to play beer pong and we know they have a table, if you ask. For two pitchers(4 mini) of Coors Light, it was $ 24(kinda pricey in my opinion). I imagine this place to be better for a show instead of a night out with friends at a local bar.

I totally ended up here on a random ghetto night. It was like a miniature high school reunion(which should have been my first clue) and we were there to support someone we went to high school with who was apparently making a rapping debut. Hella classy. Thank god for alcohol! It loosens inhibitions and makes me less concerned about the fact that the hood rats are probably all packing and the likelihood of a driveby is high. I made no eye contact at the bar. This is NOT a dive bar by the way… it’s just a REALLY poor choice bar. I think people from my high school still go here and that saddens me. Your parents spent a lot of money on a quality, Catholic school education and THIS is the choice you make?

LOVETHISBAR!!! It takes a special mix of PUnK rockers, Rappers, lesBro’s, hot chicks, hot fun bartenders to make me basically camp out at this place.

Oh Time Out… in my youth I used to frequent you more than I do now… except when I get dragged by my wife to play DD when her girlfriends want to do karaōke. The inside isn’t all that big, but the patio area is HUGE. Very cool if the weather is nice. Drinks are reasonably priced. but the floor is sticky, the chairs/sofas are dirty. but what the hell, its Time Out. Its a dive bar, and this is what you expect. Come here to make a fool of yourself or watch other people do it, your choice.

I’ve only been here a few times. I only come when there is a show going on, otherwise I would probably steer clear. The only time I went there besides going to a show was the night before we went to a show there we decided to go there and have a drink to scope out what the inside and outside looks like. The inside is okay. It’s awesome that they have performances there, that is a massive plus. But as far as when there isn’t a show going on it seems like a pretty boring place. I’m pretty sure I saw 1 lonely pool table… woo hoo. So you may be wondering why 4 stars if your not that impressed by this place??? Well there is one simple answer for that… the patio area. It is the best patio area at any bar within the concord/p.hill/martinez/W.C. bars I frequent. When it’s poppin there they have a bar outside and one night I was at a show there and they where selling these fat ass burritos outside! YUM! With plenty of outside seating and tables for all of us drunken smokers… sweeeet.

Small dive in Todos Santos Plaza, away from all the lights. This place is rather run down, seats are torn, its very dark inside, and the mens bathroom doesn’t lock, but they are with it enough to have purse hooks under the counter at the bar, which are awesome! The bartenders are friendly, but I can’t figure out how they are able to get people to pay the cover charge on the weekend.

Whack. I paid $ 10 to get in which I thought was a little much for such a dive but my friend Jack Nastie was performing so I paid it. However, he had some issues with them paying him at the end of the night… which I wont get into. It was super dirty inside and when I went to dance on the dancefloor my feet stuck so hard to the floor I could barely move them LOL. The bartender was super rude… accompanied with dirty looks. Whatever, I wont be coming back here again.

This place is ridiculous. I have never met a ruder group of bartenders. Upon arrival, I was greeted with the stench of old beer and cigarettes. I was walking over to see the band play only to fall flat on my face and twist my ankle because of an unmarked stair in a completely dark bar. Isn’t that illegal? The bartenders were trash and rude and out of control. I would never ever ever go back again.

You have entered the Twilight Zone. Where else can you find a crane/claw game called the Pleasure Chest with stuffed animals and PORN in it?!? This is a dark, divey dive. The acoustics in this place are sub-par, to say the least. The building sort of reminds me of something you’d find in Tahoe –lots of wood. Whole lotta cops in the area. There are a ton of sketchy people here — bikers, meth-labbers, stoners, ladies of the night, rockers, and time-warp 80’s… great people-watching. Outdoor patio to cool off — or inhale major 2nd hand smoke(of all kinds). The place needs a good deep-cleaning. But alas, a good time with friends. Saw ‘Spiral Arms’, «NovaVox» and«The Spazmatics» — super fun. Missed the Lavish Green show. La Piñata is right down the street for some yummy Mexican food, and some great tequilas(trust me, you’ll need it).

Honky Tube! Represent! Woo! Um… So, if the stuffwhitepeoplelike dot com guys write a blog entry about how white people like dive bars, it would be inspired by this place. They would mention things such as «hole in the wall,» «dark and dingy,» «nappy furniture,» «muffin tops,» «sleeves,» and«PBR on tap» in their entry. Time Out’s pretty good for seeing a show. It’s close to Concord BART. The crowd can be a motley bunch. Save for the patio, nothing special.

This place has been a staple for me for many years. Chill place, cool regulars, cheap drinks, and a huge patio. It is the complete definition of dive bar and is a great place to bring people together — and meet someone new who might end up being a lifelong friend.

I LOVETHISPLACE! Total hole in the wall, but awesome. I went here a few months ago… okay like over a year ago. whatever. for a Rebelution concert. But it was awesome, like a giant dive bar. We brought a friend of mine here who had never even been to a bar before and had the bartender whip up all kinds of new cocktails so that she could get a feel for her favorite drink. It was awesome, he just kept em coming and i ended with a tab for three people just under $ 50 dollars. They even have an upstairs room, which at the time Rebelution was occupying, that can be used as a smoking room. The night was kind of a blur, but I seem to remember pool tables… They also have an outdoor patio… Oh and also, they let your drunken friends sleep in their cars in the parking lot. In the drivers seat. Always a plus. I’m down to go here again any night of the week.

I love bars with a patio :) you can go outside with your beer, enjoy the sunshine. they had regular pitchers, mini pitchers, pints and bottled beer with decent selections minus the fact that they were out of blue moon. but i’ll forgive. only been here once, my friends love coming here and it seems pretty chill. apparently they have shows, which is pretty cool. i’d totally go back.

Oh… Time Out. How I adore you for your shows and gigantic patio! But would it kill you to clean the floor? I literally stepped out of my shoe last night, because it was stuck to the floor. and that was early on in the evening, the real drink spilling hadn’t even begun… My friends band(SlowBurn) played there last night, but I missed half the set because they changed the order of bands an hour before the show. Although, I did get to see Lavish Green(an OG bay area band) so that was pretty rad.

It’s a dive, ok. Nothing wrong with that. The crowd can get a bit shady, but that’s the point of a dive. A band I’m in plays here from time to time and I have to say, we invariably have a lot of fun. The sound guy and door folk treat us right. The crowd seems to enjoy live music, as they sway drunkenly to it. (Also, they got a new PA system in the past few months, and live music sounds much better now than it used to. It’s loud, though, so bring ear plugs, or ask the bartender for a pair.) Basically, if you want to have fun, check out the bands who are playing before you go. If it’s gangsta rap or metal I’d personally pass. But if it’s reggae or ska, go and dance and have some fun.

So I stepped in here after my friend and I couldn’t figure out what to do. It was two dollar corona tuesday, and though I didn’t partake, the karaōke was kinda neat to watch. The bar was very much a blue collar bar. Very jeans and flip flops. And all about the chicks with beer guts and tight clothing. I was a little annoyed when this girl kept screaming when guys would try to dance with her. Meh.

The first time out I stepped foot into this place(last week) I felt like I’d been there a thousand times before. Take that for whatever it’s worth. It’s a nice divey place with a decent rock jukebox. I don’t know it’s nuances just yet, thus the low-ish rating. I plan to blow off a lot of steam there.
