Willow Creek Center

This is a training site for Mt. Diablo Unified School District. I have been here a few times for my training and orientation. This place is pretty big since I’ve worked at other school districts before.

I have attended and facilitated a number of trainings here.
This site is part of Mt. Diablo Unified School District and, despite the unfortunate state that our public schools are currently in, is fairly well maintained and remains an active location for district and local organization’s meetings, workshops, trainings, etc.
The building and its insides are largely outdated but they do have updated equipment and wifi. You know what though? When facilitating workshops on the Millennial Generation, being able to use examples from youtube, facebook, etc. sort of raises your credibility. No such luck here though since most sites are blocked by the school district.
There is a large multi-​purpose room with a small stage that can fit a couple hundred people for larger audience presentations. The other rooms vary in size and set up. One challenge, both as a participant and presenter is that some of the rooms are more «open» than others and noise from surrounding areas can be an issue.
Overall, this is a good space for both large and small workshops, trainings, etc. and there is plenty of parking. I am sure that I will be attending or facilitating something here again soon.
