Just had the most delicious dinner at Woods Hill Table. I decided to go vegetarian and was surprised with spectacular tastes. Also great staff, and a nice atmosphere.

Visited the restaurant SAT1÷23÷16. The meal was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Kielbasa, which isn’t something I would normally get but had no regrets. The freshness of all the ingredients really came through. The tuna tartare was great too! We had a very friendly, kind, and knowledgable waiter, who was attentive(and shared my love of Worcester MA which is always a plus!). The Farm style ambiance was modern and clean, and fits into the West Concord setting. parking was easy, right behind the restaurant by the train. My only gripe was how pretentious the host staff was(it’s difficult to take a snobby attitude seriously when the 99 Restaurant is the view from the front windows). I understand the negative comments regarding the restaurant when it comes to their demeanor; but this won’t stop me from going back, the meal was outstanding!

I was at Woods Hill Table this past Friday. The ambiance is very nice and welcoming. The food was just okay. When ordering my glass of white wine, the Waiter seemed very knowledgable about the wines. My husband inquired whether the wine had grapefruit and explained to the Waiter that I am unable to have grapefruit. The Waiter assured us that there was no grapefruit or citrus in the white wine. I ordered the pork rib appetizer for my entrée. When it arrived the presentation was beautiful, however, there was grapefruit garnish throughout the dish. While I didn’t think I needed to ask about grapefruit in a pork ribs plate since we had asked about it with the wine, I would have hoped the Waiter would have caught it for me.

You can’t beat the ambiance of Woods Hill; it’s a very pretty place with décor that tells the story of West Concord. Most of the food I’ve had had been delicious especially any small plates. I’ve been disappointed on occasion with the entrees as a few have been overcooked. The service can be very spotty. Some servers are awesome; some servers you wonder how they got a job at all. The bartenders, especially Mitch are great.

Dinner for 12 celebrating our year end accomplishments for a well-travelled education department! We arrived promptly as they are particular about reservation times. setting is contemporary but earthy. you can see the meal prep area through a window which gives a nice feel without the noise. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. All were good fresh authentic(however a couple of them arrived lukewarm) Since this is a «farm to table» organic sourced restaurant we enjoyed what made them unique. Even the liquor is not the norm, don’t ask for Tanqueray. :-) We decided to go with red wine from Italy for the dinner. The wine sommelier Andrew did the selection of 4 bottles. He did a fantastic job of educating us about the various bottles and we selected one(see pic) as our favorite. The wait staff was OK, however the timing & pace of the meal flow was not in sync. Drink orders out step. Wine order was not taken until after we ordered so our entrée arrived but wine was not ready and as mentioned a couple of entrees were a little cold. They really should develop a system. Note this was not a consensus review some of the group were not as favorable. Given that this is a fairly new establishment the hope it will improve. we gave a generous tip & we will return.

We were seated promptly at a table for two. I could see that it might be a bit tight if the place was packed, but it was a relatively quiet Tuesday night and we had empty tables on both sides of us. We enjoyed a Cabot Vineyards, Russian River, Pinot Noir throughout our meal; the wine list is more than adequate and pricing is appropriate for this type of restaurant. The sommolier seemed to be very into his role, his name was Andrew. The waiter was personable and made the experience more enjoyable. I believe his name was Bob. We started by sharing a delicious beet salad. It is not that big, so you could even have your own. I had the Flatiron steak and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Monkfish and it was delicious as well and NOT overcooked. All in all, we enjoyed our meal, the place, and the experience. They have gotten past some of the problems that they had when they first opened. Two things they could do to improve: split the salad prior to bringing it, that would be better than having guests do it themselves which can be a mess. And, when you have other staff(teenagers) bring the meals make sure they place them on the table with the proper orientation. Mine was placed with the cup of fries facing me(should have been that nice steak). The same happened with my wife’s dish as well. So, it’s a nice place with very good food. Pricing is appropriate for the pleasant setting and the quality of food. Another fine option in Concord.

First star is for the beautiful atmosphere. Second for the pleasant waitress(but not attentive). Third for the great fries and broccoli… and that is where it stops. I have been waiting to go here for months and I’m glad I did(to get it out of my system) but definitely not going back. I’m sorry WHT I wanted to love you but I’m not your clientele.

Drove by and felt drawn in by how nice the restaurant is designed so decided to feed the Cubs(6 and 4). The doors didn’t open for another 20 minutes and when they did we were almost turned away because you need reservations. The hostess took pity on us and we were seated with the promise not to linger. Fair enough. The atmosphere is really nice with a large fireplace in the center of the room that emanates a nice smoky scent. The service was excellent with everyone we encountered being extremely nice and professional. Food was excellent. Try the Kilbasa which is spot on. The red cabbage was not prepared right(needs to be acidic with vinegar, not just boiled) but overall the food was a extremely good all around. The burger and fries were great, my sons loved the grilled cheese and cheese platter. My six year old requested we come back here. Those are high praises.

Excellent Meal from start to finish — top notch They did a really nice job of converting the building and keeping the same footprint, the interior is really nice, windows all around keep it open and light. The food is excellent, nice variety and some really nice flavor combinations on the menu. They really support the true farm to table idea and it shows all around — the building and the food, really appreciate the true environmental impact of all your decisions about the interior and service(reclaimed woods, no table cloths, recycled materials and products — Nicely Done! As soon as you walk in you smell the wood fired stove(at first maybe a little much for some OR if your like me a welcoming scent that you feel comforted by). The service was excellent, prompt, informed and not intrusive. The Concord area has long been a vast wasteland of culinary options — but with the addition of Woods Hill(along with 80 T. Bondir and AKA B.) — Concord area is now becoming a true culinary location.(sorry Conc. Inn = keep up the effort, you’ll make it)

I was disappointed. I came here because I saw Diana Rogers posting about it and knew it would be locally sourced, straight from the farm, organic food. I thought it would also be super tasty, allergen-friendly with friendly service. The individual ingredients were good, but they were all smothered in sauces I didn’t like so it was hard to taste the good food itself. A fellow diner commented that it was«amateur hour» because the service was so awkward — the waitress as well as the person who led us to our table. What does awkward mean? Some examples: our waitress would stand right next to us and watch us for awhile before finally interrupting, and when talking to us would stare at us without speaking until we were all awkwardly glancing at one another. She seemed completely taken aback and uncomfortable when I asked about certain ingredients(even gluten, which I’d think a place like this would be familiar with?), which kind of made me want to go home right then. Maybe it was the very first day for both the server and the host? One of the servers(not our waitress) had a great personality and seemed totally competent and I wish she was our waitress. Maybe it’s hit or miss? The meal was about 2 hours, which is at least an hour longer than we were hoping to stay there. I went with people who generally don’t like healthful, organic food, and the long meal, awkward service, and not-amazing food hurt my credibility with them. When I suggest some place new they say, well remember Concord? 3 stars because I still love the ideals of this restaurant and hope that it can only improve, but it’s unlikely that I’ll be back.

Had dinner at Woods Hill Table for the first time tonight and already looking forward to becoming a regular. The décor is light, open and welcoming with a fireplace that made for a cozy welcome on a rainy Fall evening. We had reservations for a table but ended up sitting at the bar because we so enjoyed chatting with the bartenders. The lamb and the gnocchi entrees were both sublime; the hint of lemon in the gnocchi was surprising and wonderful. A different and terrific wine list; tried a Sicilian red and it was delicious. We can’t wait to return!

Have to agree with negative reviews of service, particularly reception/host(ess) team — Saturday night around 7 there were several empty tables but we were told there was waiting list, which we dutifully logged on — and waited and waited while even more tables freed up Someone else waiting eventually let us know they were probably waiting to sit us at the bar as we’d been«invited» to stand there and have a drink until something«opened up» — indeed, as soon as we grabbed someone and specifically asked for a table, we were immediately seated Not once in the 20 minutes we stood in the way did anyone invite us or offer to sit us at a table — it felt very lazy, unprofessional, immature — especially at this price point

Went to Woods Hill a couple weeks ago with my mom and sister for my birthday and the food was awesome. We stayed at the table for almost three hours and we didn’t feel rushed at all, I work in a high end restaurant in Austin that tries to stick to a 1.5 hour turn time so this was really nice. We ordered a bunch of stuff and just shared, everything that was got was great and they make a mean old fashioned. Overall it was awesome service — we had a ridiculously good looking Brazilian server who let me practice my portuguese with him — the server assistants were great with mis en place and plate changes, great quality of food for the price and it’s a really beautiful place.

Rating is really somewhere closer to a 3.5, but rounding it up because I’d like to see it stay around. We had a party of 4 on a Friday night. Our server was very nice and personable, but just a little slow for my liking — I prefer more attentiveness and less joking around at restaurants, especially of this caliber. The place is really nice inside, very classy, with a fantastic super-long bar. We ordered everything at once — drinks, appetizers, and entrees — but didn’t see our waiter again for a very long time, and only to tell us that there was a mishap at the bar so the drinks were taking a while. Totally understandable, but the lack of communication gave a vibe of being very slow, which was a bad start. The drinks eventually came with the appetizers, and it was all great. Beef tartare, for example, can be dangerous, but it never tasted uncooked or raw. Presentation was also great and without skimping on the portions, which was great — my fear was that it was going to be expensive, thought delicious, but without being satisfying. That was definitely not the case with any of the food, especially the entrees, which were all well-portioned and very tasty. Finally — and sadly — the desserts came, and were pretty bland, even the basic chocolate mousse which was surprising. All in all, a very nice place to eat with mostly good food and service. However, a few dings with a hefty bill bring it down a few notches down to ‘good to very good’ levels. I would not hesitate to go back if someone else was paying; I’d have to give a long think on whether I’d bring myself back quickly.

It’s hard to see how this could be rated anything but a 5 star experience all around: — The service was prompt and attentive but not intrusive. — The atmosphere was refined but definitely not stuffy. — The food was fantastic. It’s expensive but the prices aren’t out of line with the quality.

We went here on a Friday night with 8:30 reservations. We were seated promptly and the place was still hopping with walk ins. The atmosphere is rustic chic. The feeling is comfortable yet still refined. We had two types of oysters and they were delicious. My husband had a sausage dish and I had spaghetti bolognese. They were both outstanding. We could taste how fresh everything was. We also had a cheese platter that came with a splendid raspberry marmalade. For dessert we split the chocolate mousse with salted caramel. It was a perfect ending. We will be back. It was not cheap, but well worth every penny. Best meal in a long time.

This was a truly wonderful experience. The owner, chefs, and manager gave us VIP service. I’ve worked at a fine dining restaurant and this place flows like a ballet. I would like to address some of the previous reviews of Ed and John: Fine dining isn’t rushed so if you want a fast cheap experience I suggest you stick to your diner reviews. Woods Hill Table is a farm to table restaurant and by far the best one I’ve experienced. The owner Kristin really cares and is constantly making her rounds to make sure every patron is happy with her experience. They do specials and seasonal options constantly so I wouldn’t rely on the online menu only. The beer and wine are all organic and selected by the in house sommelier. We started the meal with the complimentary hummus and flat bread. You can taste the freshness in each ingredient. Then a made to order baked baguette and fresh in house butter and also a maple pork fat butter. I was blown away how good it was, I highly suggest it to start your meal. We followed that by the seafood platter; they give you a vast selection of local seafood with four different oysters. This is a high end seafood platter that gave me a full New England experience. We then had a beef tongue with a beautiful grain mustard and fresh pickled vegetables. The tongue itself was sliced very thin and was plenty for four to share. The scallop special appetizer was recently added and I could eat it everyday if I had the choice. Then we had an amazing zucchini soup, light from the zucchini flavor but rich from the creaminess. We then followed that by the meaty Bolognese pasta. This spaghetti isn’t your mothers spaghetti unless she grew up in Italy and is a famous chef. I believe it had saffron in it that really took it to a higher level. Then we had the gnocchi too. These were like little pillows in your mouth. I’ve never had them so beautifully cooked and paired with the perfect vegetables. We all fought over the last one. Then we had this blue fish that I’ve never heard of, but it really just melts in your mouth. I’m not sure how they manage to get it so moist and succulent. The mushrooms, potatoes, and bok choy were wonderful together. I was so excited for the next courses. We shared a wood grilled Caesar salad that added so much smokiness to the lettuce. The short ribs were tender well seasoned served with tantalizing vegetables. Then the SOUSVIDE steak. I am a steak fiend and this blew me away. Just wow. This is hard to find and I highly recommend for you to drive to Concord, MA just for this. We paired with with tallow fries… I’ve had duck fat, bacon fat, but tallow fries is a must to experience. We ordered all six desserts to share and they dazzled all of us. The pastry chef came out and we all thanked him for the amazing finish. If you have a group of minimum of 10 you can reserve the private dining room. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and worth the drive from Boston. We will all be back soon. We were treated perfectly by everyone working at Woods Hill and I really think the negative reviews are fake. We never had to get the staffs attention or ask for anything. They asked us and just knew what we needed sometimes.

Food a 5, Server a 4, kitchen organization, 2, management bedside manner: Zero. Ed N’s review is spot on. Changes must be made or this very unique and lovely venue will no longer serve. It is sad the management does not take feedback and becomes offended/defensive. It was like: How dare you insult us. No soup for you. Lastly, the observations made were by an experienced CIA grad and a well-traveled hotel management executive. I’m just a well-traveled mutt who knows what arrogence looks like. Change or meet your demise!

Great new restaurant in West Concord(Literally at the West Concord Commuter Rail Station). Casual/hip atmosphere, best draft beer list in the area, and terrific food. I had a pasta bolognes that was killer! Only gripe: No bread! I had to pay $ 5 for a bread appetizer to pair with my pasta and sauce. C’mon guys! It’s criminal not to offer bread with a pasta and sauce dish!!! Ps. sat at the bar and the bartenders/staff were awesome!!!

First off, don’t think of coming here without calling first or going to Open Table. And for crying out loud, shame on those who give this place one star because they just can’t walk in off the street and get served. This restaurant is not geared for that. Been here twice in 3 weeks. Had the epi baguette with pork fat spread(pork fat from their own farm) both times. Wonderful starter and a bargain at $ 5. For entrees had Sausage & Kraut the first time and Skirt Steak Frites the second visit. Also from their own farm. What is common to all 3 dishes is that you really taste the farm. Super fresh too. Like no other restaurant I know. My new favorite. Even better than the old 17 Summer(closed about 10 yrs ago in Maynard). Beautiful presentation. Service attentive, but in no way will you feel rushed. Was expertly served by Lina for both visits.
