Very knowledge staff, friendly, and an experience. The wines were all very good and something for everyone. Prices reasonable and 15% off case discount! Clean and charming

I feel bad giving this place one star less than a perfect rating, but they only had one person working there, handling the tastings(and there was a large crowd there) and the register on a holiday weekend(Labor Day)! Despite this, she kept her cool(partaking in a glass of wine while working must have helped). This is a cool spot, the only winery on Hemlock Lake in the Finger Lakes region, and feels like a spot in the Pacific Northwest: Big barn, wood everywhere, and a eco-friendly vibe. All bottles are screwtops – that kills some of the«romance» of wine drinking, but all the easier to open a bottle after arriving at nearby Letchworth State Park. Apparently they have been making wine here for 135 years(under another name which I won’t even try to spell). As the case with other upstate NY wineries, they have quite a few sweets but thankfully, just as many drys. An excellent unoaked Chard for starters. They have a great table red called«Midnight Moon,» which our pourer said is «dry and smooth,» despite its listing in the Semi-dry category. She was right. Best of all – the prices. The best of all Finger Lakes wineries I visited. The catch is they are further away from the center of action on Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. But the drive was worth it.
