The wrong has been corrected and there is no more misunderstanding. I applaud this business for their integrity and righting a wrong.

I am very dissappoined. I was referred to Aspen Park Automotive by a co-worker about a month ago when I mentioned I was having car troubles. My symptoms were having«clunking» noises in the front end of the car, I told them I was worried that I had a problem with the engine. It felt like, the engine was swaying back and forth after turning off the ignition, or even a dropping feeling. After doing my own research, it sounded like it could have been an issue with a motor mount, although I know I am no expert, so I decided to take it in and pay for a diagnosis($ 85). I also got an oil change while I was at it. After a few hours I pick my car up and am told, that my shocks are completely shot and I need to replace the wheel bearings(about $ 1300 amount of work, didn’t go for it). But they found nothing regarding the sounds I have been hearing and weren’t able to duplicate the noise I had been experiencing and mentioned no issues with the engine. Mind is at peace now right? Sike. One week later my «Service Engine Soon» light turns on, haha. So I took it back a few weeks later when I had the chance. They did a quick test to see what the«reason code» for the light being on, to find the general location of the problem, who guessed it? It was something wrong with the engine. Kent, the owner, said it would be $ 105 to diagnose the problem. WHAT! First of all, I asked them to check the engine, guess they didn’t. Second, he said it’s a «waste of time» to check the engine if the light isn’t on, so I guess this is why they didn’t diagnose the problem when I first heard the symptoms of a problem in the engine, before the light was on. Also, I’m assuming fixing a problem in the engine will cost more and require more work, and the owner knowing that, a diagnosis is suddently $ 20 more? Hmm, smells like a rip off to me. I would NOT recommend Aspen Park Automotive! I have several co-workers who go there and don’t seem to have the same problem as I do, maybe I am not understanding this process of diagnosing symptoms on car problems. But I would expect they find the problem the first time I pay for it.
