riser’s is a place everyone needs to visit if they want to get the taste of connellsville. yes, it’s a dive. yes, someone was stabbed here. yes, there are no beers on tap. and yes, the crowd ranges from middle aged rednecks to young hippies to bikers. but it’s a fun place! first of all, it’s cheap. lori, my favorite bartender, is a sweetheart. and there’s kareoke every thursday-​sunday. if you’re a connellsvillian barfly, riser’s is where you usually end up after some of the other bars close, because i have never ever seen this place close early. i’ve had some great times here, but you really have to like dives, or at least connellsville, to appreciate riser’s pub.
