Literally nothing has changed in the library, décor-wise, in about 35 years. It’s kept up very well, but the hideous orange geometric carpeting, oddly shaped chairs and oak carrels are the exact same as they were when I was a wee tyke. It’s comforting. They have a wonderful selection of books for toddlers, and their children’s section is open and very inviting, full of soft furniture and stuffed animals. I don’t know about the grown-up section as I haven’t been over there in at least a decade. My trips to the library are focused on getting as many board books as I can before having to pull my son off of the copy machine. The deduction of one star comes from the librarians… with the exception of one or two in the children’s section, they all have the personality of a dialtone. Some of them also look like they might stab you for talking too loudly, so keep it down.
