Wayne Simanovich Emmanuel

It is a pleasure to write a review about Wayne Simanovich, his staff, and his dogs. I purchased a German Shepherd Dog puppy, «Sarge,» from Wayne in April of 2007. He lived up to every promise, including providing us the German & Czech Republic pedigrees of our dog’s sire and dam, as well as the AKC registration for Sarge.
In fact, Wayne provided our dog with additional training, beyond that for which we had paid. I became unexpectedly disabled approximately one year after purchasing Sarge and he was having great difficulty adjusting to this change in our family. Sarge became overly protective of me, and difficult to control. Wayne took Sarge for a few months and provided additional training, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST (out of his compassion for my having been declared fully disabled). When Sarge was returned to us his obedience was perfect. Sarge is now 7.5 years old and a cherished member of our family.
My mother was an AKC breeder, professional dog trainer, and ultimately an AKC Judge of what was then the AKC Working Group (in the ’50’s — 60’s), before the creation of the Herding Group. As such I grew up with many dogs and learned quite a bit about many breeds of dogs and related training. This life experience has provided me with a unique perspective from which to judge breeders, their training and their dogs. Wayne is among the absolute best, obviously dedicated to his dogs and their training; his results are exceptional.
Wayne and his staff provided Sarge with such a good basis in obedience that it was easy to train him for work as a Service Dog, which is the capacity within which he has served me for 6 years. Sarge also recently underwent training in guard dog protection to provide additional security for me and my family. Evidence of Sarge’s superior bloodline and intelligence was paramount. In fact, the police Lt. who provided the training repeatedly asked during Sarge’s first session, «Are you certain Sarge has not had this training before? Must be in his genes… he picks up everything so quickly, and has exceptional courage.»
My wife and I would gladly purchase dogs from Wayne again, and continue to recommend him to family and friends.
