Here is another example of fast entrée Japanese restaurant concept in the Hickory area. We tend to have a fair amount of these restaurants. Unfortunately this restaurant is not one of my favorite Japanese restaurant. This restaurant was in the same place that a Thai restaurant used to be. The building is older and the inside is bland at best. I am usually not too concern about the interior of the restaurant, but I know some Unilocalers are. My sister and I went on a Tuesday night(7÷3÷2012) around 6:00 p.m. and no one else was there. We order the spring/egg rolls which were three dollars and I have included a picture of it. They were okay, but you could tell they were not fresh and probably frozen a few minutes ago. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken(see photo) which included Teriyaki Chicken, Sweet Carrots, Shrimp sauce and fried rice. We also received a cup of soup with our meal. The food was okay, nothing special. The shrimp sauce had the consistency of mayonnaise, but tasted fine. The one issue I had with the plate of food, was the lack of food on it. As you can see in the picture, the plate was not full. Compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area they do not give as much food on your plate. The employee that served us made a plate for himself and it appeared he had more than us. This prompted my sister to tell me «Go get his plate». The total cost for two plates and egg rolls was $ 16. The price is in line with other Japanese restaurants and the food was okay. If they started to give the same amounts as other restaurants, I may have given them one or two more stars. Good luck.
