Conowingo Pizza

It really bothers be that there has been a car for sale outside of this place for Going on 4 months… they are not a car sales place they are a pizza joint. Sorry just had to voice my opinion. And this last time we ordered a mushroom cheese steak and the mushrooms were undercooked badly… they were so rubbery I only ate half of my half…

My guy and I came here on the recommendation of a friend. All I can say is he must have been hungry. This little joint does not impress. The best thing was the fries. They were done well. They serve this weird little appetizer called corn nuggets. Cream corn breaded and fried. Strange. We came specifically for the pizza. It was unremarkable. Not bad, but not great either. They do a good take out business, but we were the only ones eating in. Not surprising, given the seriously dated décor. Not worth the trip. Sorry.

So sad, so bad. Could not finish the pizza we ordered. Very disappointed because we wanted to support the local community.

We just passed by on our way home from Thanksgiving with the family. It looked like a reasonably nice place for a quick bite and we were right. Our waitress Kris was super friendly, efficient and attentive. My husband ordered a meatball sub and he really enjoyed it. The roll was nicely toasted– plenty crispy without being burned and it held up well to the sauce. I had pizza to order. They have a choice of crusts and sizes, and a few custom pizza selections. I asked for a thin crust medium white pizza. It was perfect and really hit the spot. I’m sure we’ll stop here again when we make family visits in the future.

Have been going here every once in a while for a few years now, the food is just ok. The waitress is GREAT, and with 2 small children that makes all the difference in the world when dining out! I am writing this review after having just left, we stopped in for a quick late lunch. Our food was ok, as usual, the waitress was GREAT, as usual, the experience when leaving was deplorable! The «manager» had a loud altercation with the waitress in the front cashier area of the restaurant, in front if myself, 2 small children, and other patrons. I’m not sure what it was about, I do think it was EXTREMELY unprofessional (not that I think a pizza place is an overly professional environment, but as a «manager» some better judgement should have been used in dealing with the situation). Won’t be going back. I hope the waitress finds a new job, she is way too good for that place!

Living in Conowingo, there isn’t anywhere to get delivery. Conowingo Pizza has really fast delivery and my food is always hot and delicious. My favorite is the cheesesteak wrap and the large cheesesteak. I am not sure what type of bread they use, but it’s absolutely delicious. Pizza isn’t my favorite, but friends who visit say they like the pizza.

Came back and the lunch wasn’t nearly as good. Cheesesteak was very chewy according to my co-​worker and the pizza was super oily. Oh well.

The first time we went and sat down in the place was ok. Ok food, kid waitstaff, place was kinda empty. The second time we went in, it took a nosedive. The kids don’t care and would much rather laugh and talk amongst themselves than actually wait on customers. My husband and my son didn’t get their food at all so they had to give us our money back. My husbands sub was on top of the pizza warming oven and they ended up giving it to us for free. It’s a good thing cuz we ended up throwing it away when we got home. We then gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered delivery tonight. Big mistake. It took almost an hour to get here and once again they forgot my sons order. Then it took two more calls and almost another hour to get his fries. This was the last straw. We will never eat from this place again.

The sandwiches on pizza dough rolls are great, and I favor the Rustic Chicken. Additionally the selections of pizzas and specialty pizza’s are really nicely prepared and when delivered are delivered hot. Hot is always good, but sometimes the cheese and toppings on the pizzas slide from not being placed in the vehicle flat. They from time to time have made mistakes on the delivery, so picking up always turns out better.
