Coffee is good but when I ordered a capuchinno with coffee art on the foam the girl behind the counter said we don’t do that! A true barista knows exactly what that is and knows how to do it. The following week I see it advertised on their FB page(a capuchinno with frothed milk art). That’s false advertising. The cashier also stated that day was her last day to work at the coffee shop. Not impressed. Please train your workers on how to make capuchinos!

This place seems to be a local favorite, so I hate to be the one leaving a somewhat negative review, but it can’t be helped. We were traveling from Beaumont to DFW and stopped for lunch. After lunch, we wanted some coffee and a little dessert for the road, so we went to Conroe Coffee around the corner. The place is cute and the staff was friendly enough, but the girl who checked us out… She had to have been brand new, because she had no idea what they sold. We looked at the display case and I ordered a toffee blondie and a lemon cake truffle. She was confused about the blondie and had to go ask what that was, if they sold it, etc. She also had me repeat«lemon cake truffle» a couple of times. That’s ok. If you don’t know, ask. However, when I opened the boxes about an hour after leaving, I had an entire slice of cake and no cake truffle. First, a slice of cake is a lot larger than a truffle. Second, it’s not what I wanted and I repeated it a couple of times, so I don’t know how this got messed up when we were the only people ordering. Third, since I wasn’t given a receipt, it really left me wondering what I was charged for, since I imagine a piece of cake is more expensive. You shouldn’t have to worry about getting the wrong items when it’s only pre-made desserts. The cinnamon mocha latte and the blondie were good, but the person taking orders needs some training. If she didn’t know what a truffle was, she should have asked someone. Customer service should be a priority over your pride.

Nice place. Good coffee and friendly staff. Adjoining storefront was filled with quirky knick knacks. It was our first stop in Conroe as out of town guests and we loved our experience.

I love this place, it is so welcoming and cozy. I got a white chocolate mocha and a pastry and both were delicious. I loved all the unique gifts and items they offer. They have cool jewelry, trendy clothing items and lots of other stuff. We will definitely be going back!

This had great rankings — and we were getting desperate for lunch and coffee. But I just found it ‘twee’. It had all manor of weird, cheap and cliched items scattered around the café to buy. If they were vintage it might have been cool — but it was all made in China vintage-look knockoffs. And those motivational typographic canvases that I hate. It just wasn’t very authentic. The food on offer was basically just sandwiches and icecream. Neither were very remarkable. Not an experience I’ll be looking to repeat. The saving grace was the lovely staff member who was incredibly sweet and accommodating. But if you are stuck on the road and getting desperate– it might very well be the best place for miles.

This hole in the wall is great place in the middle of downtown Conroe. The coffee is great, it’s a peaceful place if you wanna study or read. The barista was very nice, and the location has plenty of parking. I will be back here for sure if I’m ever on this side of town. The only downfall is they don’t sell their own coffee mugs :/

Stop what you’re doing and go visit this coffee shop now! It’s a perfect blend of small town vintage charm and modern taste. I ordered a polar bear latte($ 4) and my friends ordered a milky way latte($ 4) and an espresso. All three of us were very happy with our drinks. I particularly appreciated the delicate ratio of brew strength to sweetness. We sat on one of the eclectic couches to enjoy our coffee and the ambiance made it feel like home. We shared a banana nut muffin which was oversized and very tasty. I noticed a table of board games, so this would be a lovely spot to meet with friends or have book club. The service was awesome. Both employees were very sweet and attentive. I will definitely go back!

Cute little place! I hate going to Starbucks in the mornings, too crowded. I work near downtown Conroe so this was a quick stop, front row parking and only one other person in the place!(Convenient!) I had the Milky Way iced coffee and it was delicious. Still expensive, just like Starbucks, but at least it’s going to a small business. My 16oz iced drink and a muffin was $ 8, plus a tip, so this will have to be a rare treat, but the drink was really good.

You gotta try the BLT on Croissant. Fresh tomatoes, Crisp lettuce, and perfectly cooked tasty bacon on a Fresh Croissant roll. Simply perfection.

My experience was okay. It’s really cute in here, and this is probably the only«hip coffee shop» you’ll find in Conroe haha. The store was slow, but another guest and my self were waiting for the barista to actually show up… She could have be working on something though, I don’t know. First I ordered a flat white, but she wasn’t sure about what it is, so instead I asked her for her favorite, because I wanted to try something she was confident in making. She made me a toffee caramel latte. It’s was alright, a little over-sweet like Starbucks coffee. The shop is connected to a cute boutique owned by a very obvious Dr Who fan, and there’s a couple other antique/resale shops about and the Crighton theatre. I wouldn’t tell someone to drive 30 minutes out of their way to come here, but if you’re passing through I’d recommend a stop.

Who/where/when: bf & I on I-45 leaving Houston What: JAVALOPE&CHERRYICECREAM Why: For those of you who have made through Houston traffic on I-45(en route to Dallas, etc.) and found yourself at a loss for decent coffee, there is something available and it’s good not bad/Starbucks! Take a short detour into downtown Conroe, and you will find a refuge. As a purist, my bf gets a bottle of the Javalope, which is a cold brew by a local company in Humble.(Don’t ask the owner to make you cold brew or he’ll make you fresh drip and pour it over ice, eek!) I always get ice cream, and my fav is the cherry because it is loaded with real black cherries. Sometimes we pick up a few bags of chips to help us get through our road trip.

Awesome place. I wish there were more coffee shops like this in the Houston area. Great and unique drinks(I got the polar bear) and the environment is definitely reminiscent of an Austin coffee spot.

The moment you walk into this place you’ll feel like you’ve left Conroe and walked into Austin … Or London lol The place is quirky, inviting, fun and somehow just works! The place has a good variety of coffee drinks and desserts to choose from and the staff was welcoming and friendly. I ordered a double shot of espresso with half and half and it tasted great. I also had a pistachio macaron and while they weren’t large it complimented my drink well and was only $ 1.25. If you live near by ask about the different events they have going on(poetry night, game night, music etc). Overall I definitely recommend coming to get some coffee here and it was a pleasant surprise finding this place!
