Went for the sunday breakfast brunch this morning, and I wonder why it took me so long to try this place out! So much food! I’m vegitarian and there was still plenty to choose from. Many different kinds of eggs and potatoes, mexican food that I don’t know the names for, omlett station, pancake and waffle station, tons of fruit and desserts. The service was outstanding. This is a place where I could become a regular!

Pros: Delicious Tex-Mex dishes at a reasonable price. Nice atmosphere. Kind/friendly servers/staff. Home made tortillas. Nice atmosphere as far as décor. Cons: Occassionally you can experience a sassy/not so kind server. What to Order: Any enchilada dish, burritos, tacos, ect. Anything with«gravy » on it, is BOMB. Idk what they put in that«gravy», but it’s addicting. Their fajitas are not the best. If you’re craving fajita meat, go w/the tacos al carbon. I only get fajitas from Lupe Tortilla, but I’m a bit spoiled.

Would be 3 stars but for one thing: my lunch-mate saw the waiter recycle chips from one table to another. That will do it for me.

Yum! I loved the tortillas! They have large portions. The margaritas were good and so was the service. The salsas were different but still good.

There was a FLY in my margarita! I refused it and the waiter brought me back one with 3 extra shots of tequila. I guess he was hoping I’d forget about the bug. NOPE! Service is hit or miss, as is the food. My husband and I get the fajitas for two and the cost over $ 30. Too expensive for crap food in my opinion.

Had lunch there two weeks ago. To put it simply, the food was sh*t. I have had better food from the frozen section at a grocery store. El Patio kicks El Bosque in the Ass. They don’t even try to be a good Mexican restaurant. Absolutely no seasoning in the enchilada meat. The enchilada sauce and refried beans tasted like they were from a can. And guess what? They were from a can. The kitchen at this establishment has NOEXPERIENCE and NODESIRE to produce authentic Tex-Mex food. Don’t waste your time or money.

My favorite Mexican food in Conroe. I go to both locations off of 105, and probably eat there at least twice a month. Cold, cold, beer, and everything, I mean everything on the menu is delicious. I have been going regularly for 4 years and I have never had one bad experience. The staff is great, the home made tortillas are worthy of stuffing in your pocket for your car ride home!

Big portions, excellent quality, attentive staff. The margaritas tasted like they were made with fresh juice.

El Bosque Mexican at Sgt Ed Holcomb and Davis, Conroe TX serves good food, but serve Margarita s with glass packed full of ice. Very little alcohol. Service decent. Frozen Margaritas not any better.

I would rate them a very solid A. Both the fajita enchiladas & cheese enchiladas with gravy were very good. It is a classy place. The margaritas(the prickly pear & the tropical) disappeared quickly. The chips and salsa were good & approached outstanding when I added a little salt to the chips! Interestingly even the mole enchilada was good. It was close to being as good as those in Mexico. The dining room manager was sincerely interested in the customers being satisfied. I would easily frequent this establishment again.

I ate here today and found a roach on the table. The waiter was kind enough to take a picture as it ran away, to show the manager. We left quickly(after paying) because the manager didn’t bother to come out. I don’t know who writes all these glowing reports; they apparently didn’t see the bugs!

The food was very typical for this style of restaurant. That is not a negative comment because it was good. We enjoyed the three varieties of salsa that they bring to the table. The chips were good and not salty. The beef taco meat was very flavorful. I ordered a combination dish and the only thing that I thought was strange is that the tamale that came with it was covered in the same sauce as the enchilada which would not be my preference but it was fine.

Some of the best Tex-Mex in the lake Conroe area. Great food and service time after time. This has been our Tex-Mex go to for lunch or dinner for years. Consistently providing great for and service at a very reasonable price. Also enjoy both the red and green salsa.

The best Mexican food EVER!!! Service is also top notch… do yourself a favor and go. The tampiquena is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried them all!

Tried to contact El Bosque on their website. Can’t send the contact since the«Captcha» that has to be filled in is broken and it won’t send the message. The last two times we went in, the wait staff’s English comprehension was not good enough to understand what we wanted. The first time we had to go to the bar to order drinks. The second time the order came out wrong and it took so long that it was not worth the hassle of sending it back. There are lots of Mexican restaurants in the Conroe area and we will look for some that have good food and a wait staff that understands English.

My husband and I were very disappointed with El Bosque. The food wasn’t great, not to mention undercooked. My husband ordered the stuffed fried avocado and it was still frozen in the center when they brought it out. The bus boy was much more attentive than our waiter. We had to wait quite awhile for him to finally come around for us to ask for our check Although the food wasn’t great, the margaritas were good and the place had a nice open layout. All in all, we won’t be going back. There are plenty of other Mexican food places around that are mucho better!

Food was very tasty, except for the cheese enchilada. I had the Tampico. Taco meat was exceptional.

Great, authentic and local Mexican restaurant. The margarita was very good. Not sure about the warm, bean-based dip for the chips. Guacamole was very good. Gravy on the enchiladas was unique and tasty. The burritos were probably the best in my opinion.

Great Service, friendly people, and good food. There are a number of choices on the lake for mexican food, but El Bosque is our favorite. We’ve visited other El Bosque locations, and this one is well staffed and very friendly. It’s a little bit«old school» mexican compared to some of the newer places in Houston, but it is comfortable and very family friendly.

Please understand my rating is food quality only. Everything was great, guacamole, taco, beans, rice– until I hit the cheese enchilada. This I where my meal ceased. They took it back no problem took it off the bill. The kitchen says there was nothing wrong with it. IMHO absolutely the worst flavor ever. Great service and people! Recommend for anything but that cheese enchilada.

This is my go to Mexican restaurant. The wait-staff is very friendly. I love their grilled fish tacos & sangria margaritas! The kids love their queso. :)

Free chips and sala, including a couple nachos free! Lunch specials 6 days a week(Monday — Saturday) 11am to 3pm. Bar with liquor, TV in the bar. Salsa: Red served heated warm, green served cold — it is a creamy tomatillo/cilantro style. Both fresh and yummy. Lunch prices a little high($ 6.50 to $ 8.75), but they had a $ 6.95 special that was very good(combo fajitas this day)… and the free chips/salsa. My fajitas special was very good, plenty of veggies on the plate, fresh. Beans flavorful(bacon) and fresh. Rice decent, moist. iced tea good, both sweet tea and unsweetened available. service was excellent. I was here a while working on my laptop and was never ignored or neglected. WiFi available as a dlink router that seems to be theirs. As seems convention in the area, smoking is allowed in the bars.
