I drive from Cypress Tx to get my hair done by Debbie at this Salon because she does an awesome job! Debbie is truly Spectacular! Her first concern is always the integrity of my hair. I have baby fine hair which Debbie puts highlights and lowlights in for the past 14 years and she’s always done an excellent job!!! I highly recommend Debbie to everyone. Debbie is one of the sweetest kindest people I know. She has such a wonderful personality that you’ll just love chatting with her while she does your hair. Debbie also does a great job on men’s hair cuts as well. The Salon is great, it’s like a family atmosphere with all the employees. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

I have been going to Salons at the Lake as long as it has been open — more than 10 years. If you want a great cut, style or color — ask for the owner, Jeff Okabayashi. You will find that the salon has a welcoming and comfortable feel and that the people who work there are friendly and know their business. Prices are reasonable for the services and level of expertise. You cannot always get in on the same day that you call for a haircut, but they will fit you in as quickly as they can.

I went to Samantha Glass at Salons At The Lake. She told me that she was a Redken specialist. I asked her to do low lights and high lights on my hair. I even gave her the color formula my usual excellent stylist I go to in California puts in my hair. Samantha actually charged me more($ 160) than I am used to paying for this service. She asked me to go with her professional opinion instead on the color so I did as she suggested and I am very disappointed that I did. The result is black streaks in my usually honey colored highlights. Because I was running a half hour late for my appointment time, I texted her on my way to ask if I should reschedule and she assured me she had enough time to do my hair, since her next client wasn’t expected for two hours. I was at Salon At The Lake for FOURHOURS!!! No one should have to endure four hours to have high lights and low lights done. She insisted that I have a conditioner first then have my hair straightened with a flat iron before she applied my color. She had me wait while she did two other haircuts while I was in the middle of my appointment. I went home with wet hair as I always do since I have naturally curly hair that I let air dry. Samantha requested that I let her dry my hair so she could see the result of her color job. I left with wet hair instead. It wouldn’t have mattered if I had stayed to let her see the result since I was SOOOODONE after spending four hours there. I wouldn’t have stayed another minute to let her fix my black streaks! I texted her when I got home as she requested and asked her when she could see me again to fix this for me since I was so disappointed. She agreed to fix it the following week. When I got to the Salon At The Lake at our agreeded upon time, she still had her last client in the chair and asked me to wait 5 – 10 minutes while she styled this lady’s hair. I sat down for about 2 minutes and thought I have seen her 5 – 10 minutes turn into a half hour when I was at Salon At The Lake last time! I walked out and asked her to text me to reschedule. I don’t think I will be going back. It is too emotionally draining having my hair done with Samantha who tells you her entire life story while she does your hair. I could barely get a word in!
