ULTA BEAUTY The Salon

I rounded up from a 3 ½ stars to a 4 simply because my stylist was very personable and confident and friendly and I generally enjoyed my time, even if it wasn’t the most fantastic haircut I had ever received in my life. (It certainly wasn’t the worst though!) I came in for just a simple wash, cut and dry done by same because my split ends were looking pathetic. It was very spur of the moment, as I originally only planned to come to Ulta for a few makeup items.
Sam the stylist was very sweet and did a great job listening to my needs, however I do think she lacked to technical skill to do what I was asking. This is partially my fault as I wanted a very odd sort of vintage cut that she had likely never practiced. I am very confident that she would be very successful at the more trendy, popular cuts you see today.
I wanted very sharp, rounded bangs like Bettie Paige. Unfortunately, the ones she gave me we a bit uneven and required me to trim them up immediately after I got home. If you’re looking for something a little more «artistic» I don’t think the stylists at this salon are your best option, but plain trims and cuts are a good!

I go to school in San Marcos, I visit The Woodlands frequently and my parents live here in Conroe. I have been to the Ulta in each of those towns and this location is by far the most impressive. The Woodlands location always seems to be out of my favorite beauty products when I go.
The staff actually seems to know what they are talking about and are extremely quick to help me with anything I need!
The only reason Ulta (as a whole) doesn’t get 5 stars from me is because they do not carry MAC! If only they carried it, I wouldn’t have to hike through Nordstrom.

This review is for the salon at Ulta.
I chose to have hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids done at this location and it was amazing! Everyone looked so beautiful and still looked like themselves. I got nothing but compliments all night about our hair and make up.
I believe Samantha did our make up and Cynthia did our hair updos.
Thank you so much Ulta, you really helped my wedding become magical!

This place is not run well. I scheduled an appointment a day before and confirmed it 2 hrs beforehand and when I arrived they told me I had to wait an hour to and hour and a half before they could get to me. I would not count on them if you have plans for the evening.

Christy is the best. She is very helpful and a great stylist.

This review is specifically written for Misti, stylist in the Ulta Salon at the Conroe location.
I (desperately) needed a last-​minute haircut and booked on a Sunday evening with Misti for Monday at 6 p.m. (LOVE the late appointment slots). I walked in at 5:50 on Monday and was a bit disappointed to find out that Misti had been double-​booked. I waited for 40 minutes and saw that Misti’s client walked away with a very cute, well executed cut.
Needless to say, Misti was worth the wait. She was friendly, carried on great conversation, and did my hair more than justice. She took her time and carefully stacked and textured my hair. I am VERY picky about the way my hair is stacked and have only walked away happy with the initial cut a few times in my life (though I generally am happy after a week of growth). Misti hit the nail on the head and I left the salon feeling like I had received one of the best cuts of my life.
Hands down, Misti will get my business again and I will recommend everyone to her for her services.
