Even though it was loud, which I think is so unnecessary because it wasn’t great music, the pizza was amazing. Best I’ve had in a long time. Salad had alittle too much dressing but I soaked it up with the bread that was quite yummy. The pasta was tasty with great mushrooms, fresh and whole, but I really did love the pizza. Our waitress was great too. A very enjoyable evening.

Bar Lucca is one of my favorite restaurants in Conshy. I love the atmosphere and the food has always been good. The meatballs and gnocchi are awesome, and if you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, go for the nutella doughnuts. The service here has always been great and there’s a cute outdoor seating area, which is nice over the summer. Bar area is cute too — great date spot!

I have eaten at Bar Lucca twice now. Both times, it was because we tried to eat at other local Italian restaurants, arrived to see plenty of empty tables, and were turned away because the ENTIRE restaurant was reserved for the next 2+ hours or they were seating parties of two at four tops… but I digress. Both times, we called Bar Lucca and were told that they could seat us. They seemed to be plenty busy, but they made it work. God bless you, Bar Lucca. I ordered the a pasta dish with pesto the first time and enjoyed it even if the basil flavor was a bit lacking. On visit number two, I went for the pappardelle with wild boar ragu and LOVED it. The pizzas are excellent also– we got the patata pizza as a starter and it was delicious. Don’t be scared off by the unique ingredients. We split an order of cannoli cream gelato for dessert… I believe this was a special, but I vote that they add it to the regular menu as it’s pretty fantastic.

Great little restaurant. I would love it if they would use less olive oil on the Brussels sprouts. They are drenched in oil and the vegetable gets lost. I am also curious if the tomato sauce is supposed to be cold on the pizza. Other than that, the food was great and I will be back to see if they were just having an off night or not.

Dimly lit, nice ambience, small plates, great food. Quality and not quantity here. My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately without a reservation, but my guess is that you’ll need one on Fridays and Saturdays. Good service and friendly staff. They inform you that the portions are small and that dishes are made to be shared, and that two people should order 2 – 4 dishes. We had the Burrata which was amazing– it’s basil and cherry tomatoes on mozzarella on top of bread– simple but really good(I already tried making this at home.) I also had the basil fettuccine pasta with tomatoes(this is different from the one currently listed on their online menu, it is now a vegetarian option and doesn’t include quail egg, thankfully) and I really enjoyed it. My boyfriend had the brussel sprouts which he said were good, they just sat a little heavy in the stomach, and he had the Gnocchi with the parmesan crisps which he really enjoyed as well. We also enjoyed some of the red wines. Overall, good service, great food, I appreciate the dim lighting and atmosphere as well as vegetarian pasta options, but the place is pretty pricey. Great for a special occasion.

The veal risotto was a favorite by many people I know. We went just for the risotto craving, however they took it off of the menu. There are some things I would take off the menu but not something as good as the risotto!

Excellent dinner, great wine, ambience. I would definitely come back here again! Cuisine is Northern Italian. Done perfectly! They have outside seating ad well for warmer weather. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

Good ambiance, patrons are well dressed, service was very good, and seems like a nice place to hang out. Food quality was not so good. Ordered the Wood fired sirloin(medium rare) and the Chilean sea bass. Both were super salty. The bass was kinda fishy, which is strange for what should be a mild, creamy fish. The sirloin was super chewy! I let my date try it, and after about 15 chews, she had to spit it back to the plate. The Kale appetizer, they did not cut up there Kale. It was a giant, continuous leaf that had to be cut. On a less of a big deal, they plate their main entrees on appetizer plates, so not very visually appealing. Note sure if this bad food quality is consistent, or I just happened to show up on the chef’s bad night.

Made a reservation for six and we were pleasantly surprised to be led to a private room upstairs! We decided to go with their tasting menu as it let us chat more and think less. Everything they brought out was stellar. Enjoyed the farro salad, meatballs both pasta offerings, and the pizza was divine. After that I was s full I didn’t even try the fish? Was it fish? Desserts including nutella crepes and some form of a cute layered custard — all very yummy. The only complaint is the wine. Selection was average and prices were too high for the quality. We are not huge drinkers(at $ 50 a bottle who can be?) but a $ 30 or 35 bottle would be a nice addition to the menu. Service was great, pleasant and attentive even though we never shut up long enough to let her talk about the food!

Fabulous, inspired cuisine, perfect for the season. Fantastic wine list. If I weren’t just passing through, this would be my local favorite.

At the time of this review, I have been to Bar Lucca on three different occasions. I have to say, that their food is very inconsistent. My boyfriend and I ate here twice in the same week, noting that he ordered the Sirloin both times. The first time he said it is the best he has ever had in his life(which is why we went back), and the second time he said it was absolutely terrible. I can say the same thing about the pizza. One occasion the pizza was on point(the Rucola), the next it was under cooked, limp, doughy(the Margherita). I have had the Pappardelle once and was not a fan. The whole dish was pasta noodles. I thought there was supposed to be meat in this dish? The staff is always friendly attentive and professional. The place has the perfect ambiance for a girl’s night out or a date night. I will try this place again and hope I can update my review. The parking lot is very small, but there is plenty of street parking around the restaurant.

Just finished a very good dinner at Bar Lucca. Everything was very good. We had 2 pizzas as well as fish and beef. The pizzas are larger than we expected and everything else was smaller than expected. Overall for a neighborhood restaurant off the beaten path it is very good.

We had the steak sandwich and the arugula salad with added seared sea scallops. Both were excellent. The steaks were cooked medium rare and the portion was generous. Served on a focaccia roll(could be better) with roasted Roma tomatoes, Gorgonzola and arugula. The sandwich also came with a side of parmesan fries that were addictive. The arugula salad with peppers had a very spicy dressing but delicious. The two seared scallops($ 6 extra) were tasty but one was rather thin in size. Service level could be bumped up a tad.

Good foods. Good drinks. Small plates are a little pricey. Good pizzas. Great atmosphere and nice patio setup. Plus a very short walk to conshy brewery. Recommended for dinner. Will be returning at some point.

This local favorite has earned that title for a reason! Consistently delicious and creative food, memorable customer service, engaging surroundings, we can’t stay away from Bar Lucca. My favorite is the Bucatini with bacon lardons and just the right amount of fire, yum! Ordered it again last night and will be ordering it again next time. The Seasonal Mushroom Bruschetta is a nice twist to an Italian dinner staple, and I am pretty sure I have a crush on my Strawberry & Prosciutto Salad! But do you know what I made sure to save room for? Nutella Doughnuts! You read that right! They are what I look forward to in much the same way that a flower years for rain. They are warm, delicious, covered in powdered sugar, and make me feel loved and cared for. :) Bar Lucca has expanded their Nutella dessert selection since our last time here, but I stuck with this family favorite. We were a party of five last night and our waitress Katie took care of us in a way that was considerate and attentive. Our five year old enjoyed getting extra maraschino cherries in his juice, and was complimented for his good behavior. This was my parents’ first time at Bar Lucca and I know they will be back from Philly for more. And we were once again reminded how lucky we are to have such a gem so close to us!

Amazing potential with inconsistent service/food. I came to Bar Lucca for the first time with three of my friends on a Monday night. The waitress was very attentive at first, but steadily began paying less and less attention to us which was unfortunate. It got to the point that she was at the bar with the rest of the wait staff basically waiting for us and the two other tables left to leave. Annoying. So let’s talk food. The meatballs? Meh, kinda dry and in a lack-luster broth The burrata? Delicious! Could have easily eaten three dishes of it The prosciutto pizza? Boring. I wish the prosciutto was sliced thinner, the crust was crispier and that it was seasoned better The gnocchi? Delightful! The green onions added a nice zing! The Brussels sprouts? I’ve had way better; definitely could have been crispier and more flavorful. They tasted mostly like olive oil. We finished with Nutella donuts which were actually very yummy! The ambiance is nice here and if the food and service were more consistent, my rating would be higher and I would be more likely to return but right now I’m not in a rush to do so.

Tapas is my favorite type of dining experience. I was expecting an Amata type of experience, but it wasn’t. When I’m eating tapas, I want an artfully crafted small plate with flavor bursting in my mouth with every bite. I did not experience that at this place. As a Conshy native, I thought I could easily find parking in the nearby avenue immediately, but I didn’t. We had reservations and the place was packed. We were seated close to our reservation time. Final verdict: it was decent, but not good enough to go back to sit in close quarters, for that food, for that price.

4 stars for the prosecco bar on the weekends! Had a lovely lunch there with a friend and we each opted for a prosecco drink– our server brought us glasses with ice and prosecco and we were directed inside to a DIY drink bar full of fruit purées, fruit juices, Italian sodas, and fresh fruit. I can’t wait to go back!

Found this little gem thanks to you, Unilocalers! Thanks for doing what you’re doing :) The man and I came here on a Saturday night, they easily fit in our party of two around 7 with same day reservations, so they must get a bunch of walk-ins because it was busy when we arrived! We sat upstairs which was super cozy, I’d love to come back when it’s warmer out too! Cute bar upstairs as well. We started with the burrata appetizer, which is a crostini with burrata tomato and basil, we are a little obsessed with burrata these days and it totally hit the spot! 4 pieces so shareable for sure. We couldn’t decide, so we ended up sharing three courses total and some vino for our romantic evening! Next up was the tartufo pizza — mushrooms, ricotta, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and black truffle oil — we basically licked the plate! Pizzas are about 11″ so good for sharing as well! We probably could have stopped here but frankly didn’t want to because everything was so darn good, and the smells from nearby tables were taunting us! So obviously we had to finish our carb-loading with the house-made pasta. We shared the bucatini, which came highly recommended among Unilocalers as well as by our waitress. In contrast to the other things we ordered, the portion size was smaller, perfect for a small meal for one or with appetizers! It’s made with chilis and definitely packs some spice, so beware if spicy is not for you! I have no pictures because everything looked so good when it came out that we devoured it immediately. The amount of food we ordered was perfect for us, though our waitress awkwardly kept letting us know that if we were full she could cancel the pasta order(she repeated this 3 times) haha so clearly she felt otherwise. Either way it was all amazing and I will certainly be returning this summer. Can’t wait!

Came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a delicious glass of wine and a steak sandwich! The atmosphere was very nice with good music and the service was fast, I just wish the server was more caring, she didn’t check on us that often and she brought the check before she ask if we wanted dessert which we did eventually order. The only thing about my steak sandwich is that it was not very Rich with flavor. The meat was good, the cheese was good as well as the bread, but the overall taste wasn’t rich enough, too dry. I would definitely come back and try something different… maybe pizza? Absolutely.
