Great job on data recovery and transfer! I had an OLD Windows XP desktop (2004) that didn’t boot up anymore, and I wanted to retrieve the contents of the hard-​drive. CompuSolve picked up my old computer and new external hard-​drive from my home, transferred the data, and dropped them back off. They took the hard-​drive out of the old computer, and gave me the option to recycle the rest of it. Great service!!!
The reason I gave 4 stars, not 5, is the lack of data privacy policy. I initially was going to transfer the contents of my old hard drive to my new Windows 8 laptop. They told me they would need the password, but I didn’t feel comfortable giving them that info. When I asked about customer data privacy, they said they have been in business for a long time. (implying they wouldn’t be if they were messing around with the computers). I wasn’t impressed with that answer. So, I decided to transfer the data to a external hard-​drive instead. And I’m happy with the work they did.

I posted this 2 days ago and somehow it’s not showing…
Not too happy at this point.
I took my Gateway all in one to them because it wouldn’t turn on. They replaced the hard drive in it. I took it home, set it up, went on FB. got off of it. Went to go on a couple of days later and it wouldn’t turn again. They told me they would give me a $ 243 credit towards a new laptop… fine.
I pick up the laptop (that not all of my things were downloaded into properly), paid another $ 410.00. over $ 600 in total. We leave directly from there to go on vacation. At our vacation house, I want to go online and set up and play with the new computer, I couldn’t get it to sign on, said the signal strength was too weak. In the mean time, on my old laptop, I’m sitting there watching television shows, my kids are signing on with their laptops, everyone’s phone is getting wifi.
I take the laptop back to them, tell I want to return it, it’s lousy
First they tell me «I can’t return this, you were given multiple discounts on this» I said no I wasn’t, I was given a credit (I paid over $ 600 for a laptop that costs $ 380 at Walmart)
Then told «well, we can’t resell this because it’s used», and that’s my problem!!! Your computer dosen’t work, I want to return it. I told them, look, forget the $ 243, I’ll call that a wash, I just want back the $ 410 I just gave you.
He ended up telling me they were going to check the computer and determine if there is a problem and let me know if they’ll return my money. …I’ll keep you posted.

Dustin took the time to give me some feedback with a computer problem I was having even though I do not have a contract with him. (He was honest enough to advise me that it wouldn’t be worth my while to contract with him to fix my problem. Honesty counts for a lot in this kind of business.) I intend to keep Compusolve contact information on hand should I need computer services in the future.

Dustin and his team do a great job. Prompt, professional, and really know what they are doing. I wouldn’t use anyone else.
