I have been going to Style of Man in Conshohocken since they opened. I definitely recommend Karen and her crew to anyone looking for a great cut!

I have been going here for close to two years now. What a friendly and laid back place to get your haircut. Charlie has been cutting my hair for well over 3 years now and she has been doing an amazing job. Needless to say I am a loyal customer. If you are up for splurging on yourself, I highly recommend getting the full works done(haircut and straight razor shave). It is amazing! Keep up the great job!!!

I have been going to Charlie for about two years now. She gives me a great cut every time and I always value her input on the best way to style it. I go «regularly and enjoy the time that I’m at a Style of Man. The staff is friendly and personable. I always feel welcome. Over the last two years I have come to view Charlie as a good friend of mine. I highly recommend going to her!

Had skin tight fades from barbers throughout Philly, but Charlie’s fades no one can come close too. Will definitely come back and its closer to home.

Waited to get a few cuts before rating. I won’t be going anywhere else as long as Aimee works here. Great spot, comfortable atmosphere, reasonable pricing. Highly recommend

They do great haircuts here especially Men — Karen does a phenomenal job. My two sons get their hair cut here. It is so easy to book and they are so pleasant. They get compliments on the cuts always. Really a great value for the money, too. Handsome surroundings, easy parking. Highly recommend!

Wow, Unilocal removed my last review? Because it didn’t provide enough detail? SERIOUSLY? I had MY hair cut there, it was BAD. It was butchered up the side like they do at the Hair Cuttery or any other chain place. It cost ME $ 35 dollars for the hair cut. It was SUNNY outside, there were BIRDS chirping and it was a WEEKDAY. I had oatmeal for breakfast as I recall and my poop was pretty solid as a result. Unilocal, is that better? Enough detail so that the owner isn’t butthurt he got a bad review because I got an overpriced BAD haircut?

I’ve lived in this area my whole life and SOM is the best place to go! I’ve been to Manyunk, Chonshy & Paoli all three places are great. Nice people, very pleasant to talk to, very attentive and they listen to what you want. No rushing, you get a shampoo to start, the straight razor your neck and offer you a beer as well! Also free clean ups on a walk in basis in between cuts! There’s no reason to try any where else. It’s a must try if you looking for a new place or new to the area!

Haircut was medium, but I was hoping for either a better experience or cheaper haircut than the place across the street. I can’t say I got either. I live two blocks away so I really want to keep my money local, but it’s becoming very difficult! I walked in on a Monday, no appointment; the one cutter in the place and the receptionist were bored, I was just extra $$$ in their pocket. She did clippers in the back, scissors on top, and warm towel plus straight razor on the neck. No products afterward. I wasn’t offered a beer, although I would have loved one. I didn’t know they offered until I started reading others’ reviews. Let me start by saying I have the easiest hair to cut, I’ve been told this and I tell the person cutting my hair just make it even, no frills. As long as its not in my eyes I don’t care how it looks, I don’t have to look at it, everyone else does. At Style of Man the haircut looked pretty good, but I noticed the sides in front of my ears weren’t even when I was trimming my sideburns recently. There was a good place to put my coat, I felt like it was safe. Friends have had coats stolen in Conshohocken. Sorry, but my hair isn’t worth $ 35 + $ 5 tip a month. It’s worth half that. I tried it and didn’t like it, and I have a real problem with places that don’t shampoo before the cut. You should try them out though, you might like Style of Man.

Nice atmosphere. Got a shampoo and haircut. Unlike big chains who are about doing as many haircuts as possible… They take their time giving you a nice haircut. Aimee was great and listened to what I was looking for.

I got my first haircut here after moving to the area. Tried other places and now I won’t go anywhere else. I’ve had my hair cut by four different stylists and they all have done a fantastic job. Price may seem a little steep at first, but you get what you pay for — free beer, great people, and awesome service — it’s worth every penny. Would highly recommend to anyone living in the area.

My kid’s hair is just an unfortunate thing. It bothers me, like I always have to have a brush and leave in conditioner for him so it looks like we might give an iota about how he looks in public. I’ve hopped around to different dressers looking for some feed back, tips, anything… and I finally got an excellent consult here including her cutting technique, why she was doing what she was doing… this included cutting his hair while it was dry, washing it and then cutting and shaping it some more. She explained his problems to me and gave me tips on how to manage his cowlicks. It was $ 25($ 10 less than the big people) and very much worth it. I’ve spent similar amounts on my kid’s hair in the past and have NEVER gotten such great results. I WILL be going out of my way to use these guys and if I, for some reason, cannot make the 20 minute hike, I will be doling out all of the carefully noted suggestions that were given to me.

Went there a few months ago. Nice atmosphere and I think they’ll offer you a beer. They attempt at flirtiness and pampering as a business model. I go for my beers to a bar. If I want to see hot chicks, I’d go to a decent strip club or Miami. Warm towels are nice but what I’m really after is a great haircut. The prices are like the W of hair salons; the quality is Motel 6. The stylist I had was fairly new to the game I guess. I can buzz myself with similar mastery of the art. May be others had better experience — somehow I seem to have the luck with the least experienced stylists? I’d keep looking elsewhere.

Here’s why I gave it 5-stars: 1. There was none of the snooty«this is a salon» vibe. Very chillaxed. 2. The ladies were friendly yet professional. 3. The woman cutting my hair, Karen, knew my hair type(crazy thick) and gave me a great haircut.(Supercuts fails at this every time) 4. My haircut didn’t take hours.(I feel like some salons cut your hair for hours to justify the cost.) 5. You get free clean-ups between cuts.(neck and sideburns)

This is the kind of place that James Bond would get his hair cut. They give you cookies and beer while you get your hair cut.

The most basic business plan for a successful hair cut shop is simple in theory but harder in execution: give consistently great hair cuts with friendly service. Style of Man is one of the few places I’ve been to that meets this goal. There’s almost nowhere to find fault with SOM: Fantastic interior, nice stylists and great hair cuts regardless of who cuts it. Oh, and they give you beer. It’s exactly the opposite of what you’ll find at the places you pay $ 15 to look like an awkward college freshman. If you’ve been getting the same high-and-tight cut for the last decade-plus, chances are you don’t need SOM’s attention to detail or free clean-ups. If not, it’s $ 35(plus tip, fellas) well-spent.

I have thick, messy hair that when it gets too long looks sort of Kramer-esque or somewhat like a younger version of Doc from Back to the Future. It usually gets too long because I hate getting haircuts as most stylists have trouble with my hair. I visited Style of Man based on word of mouth and I could not be happier. This location is on the smaller side, but it is laid out well and they have comfortable leather chairs to sit in and wait for your stylist. The tin ceiling is nice touch, giving the place a modern-retro feel. I began by having my hair washed and conditioned and then we talked about what I wanted. The resulting haircut took approximately 30 minutes and looks outstanding. My hair feels much lighter and she really took the time to make sure there were no stray hairs or missed areas. Sanaa, the woman who trimmed my hair, did an excellent job with the style. They even offer a free touch up between haircuts. I will definitely return to keep it looking neat and clean.
