After my brother’s wedding over this weekend, everyone was gushing over the JP. Jerry Penberg was just fantastic. Even my ex-nun aunt(who was very disappointed the wedding was not going to be religious) had to admit that it was much better than a mass would have been. Jerry was eloquent, funny, nice, and warm. I’ve been involved in a number of weddings and seen a lot of JPs or priests being overbearing, or a little too serious. He struck just the right note, keeping the service quick, light-hearted enough, and most importantly, very moving. A side note. My brother was wondering whether the JP was Jewish or not. Then he pulled up with his lisence plate reading«Oy Vey».
