My daughter and I ate lunch here today and had a good meal. Grilled chicken nachos and club sandwich with sweet teas. Always tasty food and good service. Recommend to anyone in area though may have to wait for a table and with limited hours.

We stopped at this cute little café in Conway. We came here for coffee. The café was very clean and organized. The café is smaller and quaint but very nice. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They were willing to make special order iced coffees. The sizes and portions were reasonable for cost. The coffee flavor was good. We got a Macchiato, and a breakfast blend, The flavorings were a little sweet. While I’m not hooked on the coffee so much it is a small, quiet, very clean and service is awesome. We will definitely go back.

Good for lunches, although sometimes the line can get long at peak hours. Excellent sweet tea!

The service was very good and the food was delicious, especially the strawberry cake and the chicken salad sandwich on rye. I look forward to trying more of their menu. They were very helpful on creative side items for 10 mo old boy. Only downside was that frnch onion soup was too salty. Definitely try them:). The sweet potato fries with a toffee tasting homemade sauce are the best i have ever had anywhere.

Loved it until a friend and I got sick after we are the same thing… chicken nachos! Sad!

I had their California sandwich, turkey, melted cheese, avacado, lettuce on toasted white bread. You can have fresh fruit or chips with your sandwich. It was satisfying and filling.

I adore the Mean Bean Café, and I come here often for lunch with my husband, as it is near UCA and has delicious food and great service. We often see friends here, and it certainly has the feel of a neighborhood café. Although I’ve been coming here for years, I’m not very familiar with the menu because I always order one of two things: chicken salad on a croissant or the crispy chicken tenders salad. Yesterday I discovered I could order a half portion of the salad(I finally looked at the menu), and that was perfect! The full portion is simply too much for me to eat. But my true love here is really the chicken salad on a croissant. This comes with chips, which make a nice complement for the soft bread. It’s just the right size sandwich to leave room for dessert. They also always have different flavored coffees and will make you a fresh pot of decaf. My husband often gets soup and sandwich or the burrito, and he loves the food here, as well. When it is time to order dessert, review all the options on the blackboard. There are some amazing choices, but don’t overlook the modest strawberry cake. That is the best strawberry cake I’ve eaten in my life, and I have never been much of a fan of this particular dessert, but when I go to Mean Bean, I have to have it! They also often offer a peanut-butter chocolate concoction that my husband often orders. Also, delicious. But it is no strawberry cake with rich, thick vanilla frosting. The Mean Bean is only open for lunch, and it is a small restaurant that gets crowded fast, especially during the school year. If you are in a hurry, go as much before noon as you can. They accommodate those who are waiting with a bench in the back hallway and they bring you menus so you are ready to order when you are seated, etc. The other aspect of its size is that if there are loud people lunching, it can get REALLY loud, and you feel like these people are right on top of you. Yesterday, the whole restaurant was staring at a group of loudy-loudersons who sat for over an hour after their food was gone laughing and yelling. I could barely hear my husband talking to me across the table. I love the Mean Bean. I feel like they know us there and are happy to see us whenever we arrive, no matter how crowded or busy they are, and I have never had a complaint about their delicious food.
