Slim Chickens

I don’t know what it is about their chicken but dang I love it!
Its always juicy and it goes perfectly with that slim sauce. Which i wish they would sell by the bottle!
Sweet tea is not really sweet, but the pink lemonade is good. Kids love to go through drive through on the way home.

This slims is ALWAYS so slow. I’ve never waited less than 15 minutes for nothing more than a chicks plate. Tonight I waited for 20 minutes at the window and the Chicken tenders and fries were cold and soggy and the «toast» was a piece of bread NOT toasted just thrown in. I can understand once or twice but every time I go it’s the same. I won’t be back.

2^nd time is a charm! my first experience was t great, but my second was amazing! loved the food and service.

I came into this location, a few weeks back. I was in a hurry. Just got a simple 10 dollar or so plate. Some tenders with fries and toast. I waited for 20 minutes until going up front to check on my TO GO order. One of the managers looks at me, turns around. Fumbles through some scattered tickets by the printer. Then looks in the back and asks the cook if it’s almost done. The cook didn’t know what she was talking about. She then tells him what plate I had and to make it right away. I wait another 10 minutes or so. No «I’m sorry», or some sort of acknowledgment to the fact I waited almost 40 minutes for my food. I honestly should have just got my money back and left. I wasn’t going to die without my chicken. But Jesus Christ. They have one job. I’ve worked at chicken Express and we atleast let our guests know they might have to wait for some fresh chicken or rolls. Lol Next time I go here I’d better get my stuf on time.

Today I went to get some slim chickens for lunch it was close to 2 so they weren’t very busy. I got a simple chicks plate with mac and cheese. I’ve always liked slim chickens food, chicken is average but juicy. Fries and most sides are pretty basic. Only thing I ever really liked was their mac and cheese, fried mushrooms, and their potato salad. So my bill was $ 8.something. I pull up to the window and give the women my $ 20 and she gives me $ 1 and some change back. So I said «ma’am I gave you a $ 20» and she looked at me like I was crazy and said «I’m preeeeetty sure you have me a $ 10» this just kinda upset me a bit. I just came from the ATM which doesn’t give out lower than $ 20. She eventually gave me my $ 10 in change back after saying that she’ll have to go through the register to check everything and giving me quite an attitude. I’ve worked in fast food before so I know what goes on and I don’t expect to be treated like a queen but I certainly don’t expect you to steal my money. I just think it’s pretty ridiculous that you don’t pay attention to how much money a customer is giving you, I mean I know it’s only $ 10 change but I’m not paying $ 20 for a tiny plate of subpar fried chicken. Foods never real bad, just horrible management here, probably not coming back. If I’m gonna pay $ 8 for chicken I’ll just got to zaxbys.

Got traditional mild wings and they were great. Hubbub got a chic. Wrap fries and drink meal. Mine didn’t come with a meal bit they gave me fries anyway. Good with ranch sauce. ASKED IF I COULD BUY A PINT OF SAUCE TO GO and they don’t sell it. But they did give me 4 free mild sauces to go! YUM, DELICIOUS SAUCE NOT HOT but perfect. !!!

On the dessert menu, they have an item that is basically a brownie and chocolate pudding in a jar. It’s amazing. Also, the house slim sauce is very good. I recommend.

Excellent food, large location, easy access, nice outdoor seating area, was packed but still good. Could do better with customer service. Recommend the chicks plate, one of the sandwiches, or the wings and things if you’re very hungry. Also get slims sauce, save the other sauces for an average day.

Slim Chickens caught my eye due to the fact that all the photos look like Raising Canes. If I’m going to eat as much fried food as possible during my AR visit why not add this to the list.
Fries are fine, chicken tenders were small and the breading wasn’t as crunchy as I prefer. The sauce, I opened up what looks like that thousand island sauce with excess black pepper that I get at Cane’s only to realize this is some sweetish concoction.
Slim Chickens isn’t bad but my issue is I had prior ideas due to Raising Canes. Slim is like Raising Canes with more options and less focus on quality. Canes feels like they have a few things and do them well, Slim’s is many things done mediocrely.

I’ve patronized here twice. Each time I go here I order the 3 chicken tenders and 3 mild chicken wings. Unfortunately the wings are always dry and I don’t feel the costs of the food here equals the quality of food.

Great place for what it is which is a casual better than average fast food place. Atmosphere is good and music is great since it is good olé blues. Not really a healthy place, but doesnt try to be. My personal favorite is the jalapeño smoky cheddar wrap which i spike with the inferno habanero based sauce as a side in addition to the sweet mild sauce on it. This place has the BEST old fashioned fried peach pie in town since brannans went away. Staff are very friendly. Booths are roomy. Fries are very good, but substitute their potato salad at no charge which is an awesome bacony sour cream style rather than mustard based.

The chicken and fries here are great. My only complaint is lack in choices of sauce.

Would have never tried this place without the recommendation from friends. Very happy we gave this place a try. Mainly fried chicken strip dishes and wings but they have other stuff as well. The fried pickles are really good. Recommend.

I think they lace their slim sauce. Supper addicting!!!

This is waaay off the beaten path but when you need wings deep in AR, this will serve admirably. Prices were reasonable & the place was spotless.
Got the buffalo, hot BBQ, sweet BBQ & teriyaki. All sauces were decent, the buffalo just seemed like Frank’s — nothing special. The teriyaki was a little off in color but seemed to have a little extra ginger — nice touch. The cayenne ranch & Slim’s sauce are great for your fries. Order the fries extra crispy.

I have had great experiences on both of our visits here. Fast, friendly service. Modern atmosphere. Great pricing. And you can find a buy one meal, get one meal free in the Entertainment Book.
I love the choices of sauces, especially love the cayenne ranch. The chicken tenders and fries are fresh and delicious! My only complaint is that they don’t have a restaurant in Little Rock!

I was reluctant to try Slim’s, figuring it was just another Zaxby’s knock-​off.
I was pretty off in my assumption. They have various combination plates composed of wings & tenders with many different flavor & sauce options. I tried the 3 & 3 plate, with 3 wings, 3 tenders, fries, & one dipping sauce. The wings were tasty, but were not very meaty. The mild buffalo is good for your average wing eater who isn’t trying to burn their face off.
The tenders were amazing! The breading didn’t detract from the juiciness of the chicken, and my honey mustard dipping sauce made it even more delicious.
The only drawbacks here are the price (over $ 20 for two smaller plates & drinks) and the drive through is quite a wait.
Overall, it’s a pretty good lil’ chicken joint!

This is a ‘must eat’ place if you like hot wings and chicken tenders! Moist,
perfectly tender chicken strips are served with five kinds of dipping sauces and the wings are bathed in anything from a mild sauce to ‘Inferno’. I have never feared hotness so I chose their 3and3 plate which consisted of 3 chicken strips w/​a cayenne ranch dressing and three hot wings coated in Inferno. That came with excellent fries and Texas Toast for a whopping $ 4.89.
Okay.about Inferno. it is good and hot, perhaps a few degrees less than 2^nd degree lip burns but it makes that chicken taste good. I really recommend not kissing your significant other or messing with your contacts til you have REALLY cleaned your hands well.
Slim Chickens has a great variety of sandwich wraps, salads and sides like fried okra, fried pickles, cole slaw and tater salad. The most expensive thing on the menu is $ 13.99 for 20 wings! You can come in a sit down to eat (they have killer Blues music playing) or you can use the drive-​through. I hope they add a few more locations soon…
