Kroger Co

Not my favorite Kroger but it’s the closest one. Literally 2 minutes away from me. Not thrilled with the condition of their produce and people don’t always seem to be eager to help you.

Kroger is moving every thing in the store. Few workers on the floor. No management around. I guess they are making big important decisions to frustrate customers. It took me 2 hrs to do a normal 15 minute shopping trip

This isn’t a particularly large or modern Kroger but It’s a nice one. I had only been twice and remembered the layout of the store already. It’s tidy. The customer service is medicre and I can accept that. I have not had a bad experience here.

I have never felt more slighted because of the pigmentation or lack thereof of my skin than I did today!
I went in to this store and got 5 or 6 items, probably $ 15 or $ 20 worth and went to one of the 6 self check-​outs. I had forgotten my card, but was not concerned as I have used my cell# before and punched that in and the machine did not like it and said an attendant has been alerted to assist you. So I stand there waiting and look around to see where this assistant might be, and she, a heavy-​set black lady, was busy scanning items for a black lady in one of the other self checkout machines.
So after almost 5 minutes, and some little overgrown cell-​phone thing she carried continually alerting her she comes over and I explain the issue. She says well you can try it again or I can give you a new one and I said I will try it again so she puts something into her device and walks off to go help another black lady scan and I reentered my cell# which has not changed in around 15 years and it not work and I look over at the ‘assistant’ to catch her eye, but she was too busy scanning items for this other lady.
So I raised my voice at her and said you can keep your dang groceries and left the establishment. There was another kroger employee standing there, but it was obviously not her area.
It will be a cold day in Hades before I walk in to that store again to spend any of my money.
So, good luck to you if you happened to be white or Hispanic, and I am both because they might not have time to help you.
I learned a while back that while I might be wrong, I know how I feel, and I should not have to feel like this anywhere.
And as an aside, I went to Krogers web site to make a comment through their form and got a 404 error. I will try there again later.
