I do love this place, so here is my view of this strange establishment: Marinated steak is the best I have ever eaten; at $ 6.50/lb. it’s pretty expensive. Marinated chicken is a favorite of my family; at $ 3.80/lb. it’s under priced. Cow tongue is right on the money, but only sold occasionally. Guess it scares folks away. The prepared foods are very good; you will never make it home without eating half of the food. If it’s in a can, fresh produce, candy, or breads buy them elsewhere. These prices are jacked up through the roof. It makes CVS and Circle K prices look free. The tortillas are made in Tucson, taste very authentic, and are my favorite in the valley. If you only buy one item, it should be a dozen of large tortillas. They are $ 4.00 but well worth the money. This place smells like a Carniceria, it doesn’t look pretty, and it’s crammed in a building half the size it should be, but appearance is not everything. Overall, if you need good meat for the grill, excellent tortillas, and some pozole, this is your place.
