WEIRDEST HAIR STYIST EVER!!! I was happy with my hair cut but my stylist could not have been more weird/​rude if she tried. She asked me how I like my hair and I said I would like it long because thats how my BF likes it and she flipped and said «I have never let a man dictate how I wear my hair». I didn’t ask her my opinion, but okay. just cut my hair lady.
She also said that when me and my BF break up I can wear my hair how I like it. I have been with my BF for & years so not break up anytime soon than you very much. Also, I wear my hair long because I like it that way and I like the way my BF likes my hair. mind you this lady wasn’t wearing a wedding ring so that should tell you something.
Then she asked about what I do for work and I told her I was in AmeriCorps and she proceeded to tell me, «make sure they pay you». What the heck? I will be getting paid and if I wasn’t is that her business.
The awkwardness sort of just continued throughout until I decided to quit talking because this lady was a real spaz and I didn’t give a **** about her opinions on my life because I came here for a hair cut not a dang lecture.

Anybody who says the Anoka area doesn’t kinda suck is lying. Food aside it’s so hard to find a decent place for some pampering in the area. Onyx is a friggin godsend. I see Amanda here and she is amazing. Both my mom and I get our hair did here and both of us have never had better looking hair. Amanda (and it seems like all the stylists) can give you an Uptown style of hair cut for a suburban price. Seriously Amana is great with cuts, color and waxing and after all is said and done you aren’t shelling out $ 300 for it. They carry great products for your hair as well.
